Deck of Me: Card #30

Also das Wetter macht einen ja total kirre! Ich bin ein Sommerkind – folglich möchte ich im Sommer Sonne – jawoll ! Ne ehrlich – ich sitze hier mit einem Pullover und trinke Tee -kann ja wohl nicht sein! Eine willkommene Abwechslung war dann schon mal gleich die Karte der Woche für Emilys Art Challenge fertigzumachen – dankbar für das was man hat – nun- das Wetter steht jedenfalls nicht auf der Liste :-)

Really this weather makes me go bananas! I’m a summer child – so therefore I want sun in the summer- oh yes! Really, I’m sitting here in a sweater and drink tea – that is not right! For a change I created this week’s Emily card – count your blessings – well as you can imagine the weather is not part of that list :-)

Und für alle, die unseren Workshop im September besuchen möchten – nur noch heute und morgen, um den Topf für den FrühbucherpreisÂÂ geworfen werden zu können!

Oh and for all of you who want to book our workshops in September – there is only today and tomorrow to be included in the draft for the Early Bird Price!

Layout: Ur Cute

Von Bianca aus Brasilien bekam ich nicht nur ein wunderschönes Layout zum Geburtstag – nein noch dazu ein Mojo-Monster und wunderschönes Papier von Scrapdiary. Ich habe mich gleich mit Mojo ans Werk gemacht und heraus kam dieses Layout über Linus:-)

Bianca from Brasil not only supriesed me with a wonderful layout for my birthday, no, on top she send me a little Mojo-Monster and beautiful papers by scrapdiary. Mojo and I worked this weekend right away and this is the result- a layout about Linus :-)

Blog-Love: The Dares #?

Sie sind weg…yikes – hoffentlich sind sie bald wieder da – Hacker haben den Dares-Blog lahmgelegt, unglaublich. Nun denn, bevor dies jedenfalls passierte, konnte ich noch sehen, daß die letzte Challenge beinhaltete Stoff auf seinem Layout zu verwenden. Habe ich gemacht und mit allerlei schönen neuen Dingen rumgespielt -zu denen später mehr!

They are gone…yikes – I hope they will be back soon – Hacker distroyed the Dares-Blog, unbelievable. Anyway before this happened I was able to see the last challenge – use fabrique on your layout. This I did and I played with a couple of new things- but more about it later!

Journaling reads: When I see this photo I start to laugh right away. Jess, Tamy, Joan and I had such an incredible evening. Some wedding guests thought we were nuts – we didn’t care. Jess & Dave Wedding, PA 2007 5/5

Layout: Escape

Dieses Layout habe ich gestern gemacht- ich habe viel mit Masken und Farben gearbeitet- es hat eigentlich ganz viele Schichten, die man auf dem Foto nicht wirklich sieht. Angeregt wurde ich durch den tollen Blog All About Eve – die dieswöchige Challenge geht um das Thema “Zuflucht/Flucht” und ich fand das ist ein tolles Thema!

I did this layout yesterday – I worked a lot with masks and paints – actually there are a lot of layers which one can’t see on the photo. I was inspired to create this layout by the awesome Blog All About Eve – this week’s challenge is about the theme “Escape” and I think that is a great theme!

Journaling reads: In my job I read and hear many really touching things everyday. People who suffered from war and torture, people that survived cruelty we have now idea off. Those cases could make you think that this world is an awful and unsociable place to live. But I need to keep my Love for the world and my trust in human beings and so I need a creative outlet – Scrapbooking. So I can just escape from my career reality. Until my head is free and I forget and trust again. Trust in humanity and that this world is beautiful.

Birthday- Thank you!!!

Gestern machten Liz und ich einen schönen Ausflug zu Christiane! Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Tag im Garten mit BBQ, Gesprächen und…einer grandiosen Geschenkübergabe. Ich habe noch so viele Geschenke von Euch bekommen und dazu auch endlich das wunderschöne Album, was Ihr mir gemacht habt. Ich werde Euch allen noch persönlich schreiben – aber vorab schon mal ein paar Bilder der “Ãœbergabe” :-)

Yesterday Liz and I went on a road trip to Christiane! We had a wonderful day in the garden, with BBQ, conversations and…an awesome present hand over. I have gotten so many more presents and on top this awesome album you all made me. I will write you all personally – but in advance some photos of the “hand over” :-)

Ich liebe meine Geschenke- ich kann mich gar nicht sattsehen an den Layouts, den Papieren, den Ribbons, den kleinen Monstern, den Embellishments und Karten – Ihr seid so süß!

I love my presents – I can’t stop to look at all those layouts, the papers, the ribbons, the little monsters, the embellishments and cards- you are so sweet!

Finding You: Choices

Hier ist das letzte Layout zum Workshop von Corinne – Finding You. Für das Layout habe ich mal wieder die Peeling Paint Technik angewandt, die Daphne und ich vor einigen Monaten im Studio DaphNat vorgestellt hatten – hat Spaßss gemacht :-)

Here is my last layout for the workshop of Corinne– Finding You. I used again the peeling paint technique which Daphne and I showed several months ago in Studio DaphNat – it was a lot of fun :-)

Journaling: Yes, I have a couple of dreams I wanna be come true but I also made a choice “I want to stay true to myself” and if that means one of my dreams doesn’t come true – then that is fine with me! Because nothing is better than the original :-)
