Ok – die Freude, dass ich doch noch eine Runde weiter bin bei Last Scrapper Standing trübte sich etwas in dem Moment, als ich die nächste Herausforderung las: Benutze Ribbon bis zum geht nicht mehr. Jeder, der meine Layouts kennt, weiß, dass¸ ich fast niiiiieee Ribbon benutze – ich sammele es nur – LOL. Aber gut – hier mein Ergebnis. Ich sag Euch, die anderen Layouts von den restlichen 40 Leuten sind der Knüller.

Oh well – I was totally happy that I made it to the next round of Last Scrapper Standing until I read the next Challenge: Use Ribbon like craze. Oh boy, everyone who knows me, knows that I usually don’t use ribbons on my layouts – I just hoard it – LOL. Ok – here you go. I tell you, those other 40 entries are killer cool.

*Family Party*ÂÂ – Wallhanger

Journaling reads: Uncle Oswald, always the life of a good part! ~1910

The photo shows Oswald Vogt (one of my ancestors) with a bottle of wine in the back. My great uncle Walter had given me this photo and wrote the explanation family part onto the back. In the front you will see my really stern (maybe even grumpy) looking great great grandparents ;-)

I used a 8.5×12 piece of cardstock and added GlimmerMist too it – which peeks through the vintage laces. I wove sequins and a ribbon through the white ribbon. Added brads to the thick shoe lace.
There is a magnifying glass thingi over Uncle Oswalds face. Painted and stamped the chipboard photo turn. I used 13 different ribbons. The wooden handle for hanging the layout to the wall is taken from a wine bottle case holder. The photo is mounted to another piece of chipboard which is raised . I painted it with crackle paint and added Glimmer Mist on top – then heated it almost till it smoked – LOL -with the heat gun.

Emily forderte uns heraus eine Karte zu gestalten, auf der vermerkt werden soll, für was man an jedem einzelnen Wochentag dankbar war. Das Foto ist schon Montag aufgenommen worden, es gibt mittlerweile noch mehr Einträge. Ich hatte eine nette Woche. :-)

Emily challenged us to create a card that shows each weekday and what we were greateful for. I took the photo already on monday- so of course there are more entries now. I had a nice week. :-)

Wir nähern uns dem Ende – ich dachte ich poste das mal, da ja niemand meinen Vorpost zu mögen scheint- LOL – witzig wie bei tiefergehendem Journaling keiner mehr kommentiert ;-)

Bei der dieswöchigen Photochallenge geht es um das Willkommensschild für den Ort an dem Ihr lebt – entweder das Ortschild, Stadtteilschild oder vielleicht gibt es auch ein besonders Willkommenszeichen an Eurer Haustür oder Straße. Laßt Euch was einfallen.

We are getting to the end. I thought I do my new post now as no one seems to like my last entry – LOL – funny how nobody likes to comment when the journaling is a touch deeper ;-)

For this week’s photochallenge the theme is the welcome/entrance sign for the place you live. This can be either the entry sign of your village/city, the township sign or maybe there is a special sign on your door or street sign. Can’t wait to see it.

This is the district sign for the area I live. Love that it is plastered with stickers – LOL – so typicall for this area.

*What About Germany?*

Journaling reads: Germany- a small little counry in the heart of Europe. What I like a about Germany? I like the closeness to all the other European Cities – an hour mostly. I like the open minds – most of the time – the way of living. But I also have my problems with Germany – the problem to take responsibility for the past and learn from history. It is an old and young nation in one – it is interesting and boring. Well it’s cool in the north – fazit: I love living in Hamburg. Does this give you any perspective of Germany? No, of course not – it is difficult. I might not be the best person to inquire about Germany. You won’t get a clear answer! :-)
