DT Work: Tattered Angels and Graphic 45 – Part I

This month Tattered Angels and Graphic 45 teamed up. I can’t tell you how much fun I had to work with all the yummie Tattered Angels Products and the amazing Graphic 45 Papers.

The Transatlantique Collection by Graphic 45 just gave me the kick to start with my travel album about my recent trip to the States where I have been seeing a lot of stunning Nationalparks and Cities.

*Travel*

Travel

Supplies: Tattered Angels  – Glimmer Mist: Red Velvet, Misty Breeze, Arctic Blue – Framed Fonts Regal Embossed – Glimmer Screens: Tattered Traveler – Clear Stamps: Compass – Bingo Boards and Calling Cards: Travel ; Graphic45: Transatlantique Collection – Pack Your Bags, Bon Voyage, Transatlantique Tags

I sprayed the Map Paper with Glimmer Mist and rolled a Brayer over it. I also sprayed with Glimmer Mist over white Cardstock and the Compass Screen. After it dried a stamped with the Compass Stamp on top and cut the image out. I sprayed with different Glimmer Mist over the Chipboard letters and as I wanted the color really saturated I didn’t blot it off but simply heat dried it.

*Road Trip*

Roadtrip

Supplies: Tattered Angels: Glimmer Screen Tattered Traveler, Tattered Traveler Clock, Framed Fonts Regal Embossed – Graphic45: Transatlantique Collection Traveloque, All Aboard, Paris Post

I used chalk over the Glimmer Screen and then stamped with the clock above it.

The Christmas Paper we got totally set me into holiday mood and I created the following Layout:

*Joy*

joy

Supplies: Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Candlelight, Cranberry Zing; Framed Fonts Regal Embossed, Notes From the Garden Stamps – Graphic45: Christmas Collection Deck the Halls, Letters to Santa, We wish you a merry Christmas

I painted part of the paper with acrylic paint, I sprayed some Candlelight Glimmer Mist on top of a teflon sheet and used it with part of the Notes From The Garden Stamp and blotted the access off. I used Cranberry Zing Glimmer mit with the Framed Fonts and stamped the journaling stamp from the Notes From the Garden Set on top of some paper which I attached behind one of the Embossed Frames.
I hope those layouts, projects  and technics inspire you- have a wonderful and gorgeous day!

DT Work: ScrapTastic Vanilla Frosting Kit Part I

Here we go – the first part of my work with the Vanilla Frosting Kit!

Jetzt geht’s los- der erste Teil meiner Arbeiten mit dem Vanilla Frosting Kit!

*Merry Christmas Canvas*

I painted the background of the canvas with different acrylic paints and layered different techniques. I than cut out the house of the Webster Paper cut out some of the roof shingles and placed them on 3D Foam. Sprayed the whole canvas with Golden Glimmer Mist.

*Believe it, you are beautiful*

Journaling: I’m sure others can relate to those…selfdoubt crank days! There are days when I do not like myself…to short, to big, to ugly…but that is not true of most of your friends – they think you are beautiful and you are.

*Nothing Better…*

…than having my folks home for christmas and taking a well deserved nap! Niles 2000

I used the left over hambly overlay from which I had cut out circles for the “yes” Layout (I will show this later) and added some shadows with watersoluble crayons onto the Webster Paper peaking through. Then I added some “strings” with a marker so the circles appear as ornaments.

Enjoy your day!!!!

Genießt Euren Tag!!!!

Project 365 – Week 47

Wow-  I have no idea where this week went…actually I’m glad it is over – it was yuckie yuckie yuckie!I learned a lot this week: I have to set boundaries, I have to learn to say NO, I can’t trust everybody but luckily enough there are people out there that I can trust;  and there are people out there that hate me…well…ok – you gotta live with that, right ;)- I still have some people out there that love me ;)

*320/365*

working on projects – fun

*321/365*

finally-I love them so much!

*322/365*

Learning more stuff about Photoshop Elements- love Sande Krieger’s Classes. I can learn so much easier with her videos than through a book.

*323/365*

It is this time of the year again – this year some bought christmas cards are included due to time problems! Still have to convince mysel it is ok to not every year make 100 christmas cards myself- LOL

*324/365*

I wish I could sew good enough to make a nice throw for my sewing machine :)

*325/365*

Our Advent’s Wrath this year- also note the new lamp in the background ;)

*326/365*

I love starting the day with a breakfast burrito!!!

Wishing you a gorgeous sunday- actually the sun is coming out right now!

Wünsche Euch einen wunderschönen Sonntag- gerade kommt die Sonne hier raus (wow- hat sich wohl verlaufen ;) )

USA Vacation – some pix and stories Part II

Alrighty…want to come with me for the rest of our roadtrip? Here we go- LOL.

We went from the Grand Canyon through Monument Valley to Moab. Quite a long drive- but …I tell you the landscape was amazing. Lot’s of photos out of the car while driving.

We arrived late at the Redcliff Lodge in Moab and the next morning after a nice and hearty breakfast we went horseback riding. So fun!

Here is Buttercup my sweet horse- she liked to be photographed :)

Here is my peeps :)

Here is me – LOL – well – of course I thought the whole time I look really cool – kind of like John Wayne…but this one…not so cool ;)

He …looked really cool!!!!

Close by is Arches Nationalpark – so we went there later ….Roadrunner and Koyote Land! Or how we called it ACME Land- LOL

See this bug?  We had seen it in Sequoia too and wondered what it might be. Somebody came along and called it a Potatoe Bug and I finally found some info on the Internet. Actually it is a Cricket. Very interesting!

The Landscape Arch which might be falling down in the next couple years

And the Delicate Arch

And one of our many Album Covers…naaaaa –get what it says???

The next day we had a short stopover at Bryce Canyon – I want to come back and spent more time there

and then we continued to Zion where we stayed down in the Canyon in the Lodge. We went for the Angels Landing Hike the next morning. Never a good sign…if it starts with a sign like this:

It started all easy peasy :)

little zigzag upwards

It was warm…

until we came to the part which is called the Refridgerator Canyon…

And then we had a lunch picnic break and there it was….the Oh-Shoot-Indicator! Chains – nothing on the sides…but I decided I try

And I was scared and realized how much I like my life …

So Karen and I decided to stay right there …Bill came back five minutes later…taking care of us girls ;)

While my crazy hubby was going to the end – and I was scared with for him. After over an hour I was a wrack.

When it came to climbing down while holding on to the chain and looking over the edge I really freaked. I almost cried and I cursed…the whole time. sorry about that…but I couldn’t help myself. And …I wasn’t the only one. I saw 20 year old guys going down on their behind and freaking. I know it doesn’t look bad…but it was.

but see- here she smiles again ;)

So that was a lot of Zion- but I had to tell you- LOL. And then the next day we had to drive to Las Vegas where our friend’s flight left and we drove till late night till California where we stayed in a Motel near Gilroy.  We woke up and spent a wonderful morning in Santa Cruz.

Loved the Pelican just starting to fly

and those Babes just hanging out

We went up the Coast along Highway 1 and stopped here and there

It was like a mini vacation during vacation- LOL

We went to the airport, flew to NJ where we stayed another three days with family and friends, filled with great times and laughter and then went back to Germany. It was amazing! I have seen and learned so many things during this trip. What a beautiful world we live in!!! So that was it… next time crafty stuff again – promised! Have a good one!
