Altered: Winter Wishes *Tattered Angels*

Our theme for the Tattered Angels blog for December is glass – so I altered this little glass container from Ikea which was once a spice container. I thought it would be a fun little gift for some neighbors. It is filled with loose Winter Tea.

WinterWishes01

I used Tattered Angels Tinsel Town Glimmer Glam and painted the glass. I used several layers. Then I used the Helmar Crackle Medium over it and after the cracks appeared I polised the whole bottle with Pewter Glaze so the cracks would stand out even more. I sprayed the glass pebbles as well as the Prima Flower with Mint Chocolate Chip Chalkbaord and added some of the Tinsel Town too. I used the “Winter Wishes” Stamp from the beautiful new Tattered Angels Winter Stampset and stamped this on a piece of paper.

Have a gorgeous day today :)

Advent Wreath *Tattered Angels*

For this years’ advent wreath I used a plant literally translated called “barbwire” in Germany (LOL – I think it is quite funny how unflowery our language sometimes is). This plant has a pretty cool look ….kind of like….barbwire ;) and makes for a pretty fun attachment for the wreath.

Adventswreath_01

I sprayed the plant with Mint Chocolate Chip Chalkboard and also Chalk Chalkboard -it really glimmers and glistens – but it was hard to catch this on photo. I also sprayed the Tattered Angels Glimmer Glass and two ornament mirrors with Chalkboard and added Chandelier Glimmer Glam. Inside the wreath and put some glass pebbles that were painted with Lipstick Glam repeating the candle color.

Adventswreath_02

I really like our modern funky advent wreath and can’t wait to lit the candle.

Do you have a wishlist?

I can’t believe that Christmas is approaching fast and there come the usual yearly questions: What do you wish for? The normal answer is “Oh, you really do not have to give me anything” – LOL – but actually this year I thought I might just have a little wishlist and if some familymembers *WINK* take a look at it- the get some inspiration – LOL.

I so fell in Love with those stamps by Webster’s Pages – ohhhh

Websters

I’m totally addicted- although I’m a coffee nerd- to the some of the Teavana Teas- especially the White Ayurvedic Chai Tea ….and it is almost empty….CRY!!!

Bild 2

I really would love to have this book – I’m so into the Zentangle look – but I need a starting point :)

Bild 3

Last Winter CHA I saw those new Stazon Metallic Inkpads and I was like “MUST HAVE” and then I forgot- but ….I remember – LOL

Bild 2

And then….ARGGGHHH – I just realized that my Helma 2step Crackle Medium is vanishing FAST. And I tell you  – I love love love this stuff- I use it a lot lately.

Bild 3

Well – let’s see if Santa is fullfilling me one of those wishes ;) What are your wishes ? Share :)

Nun – lasst mal sehen, was der Weihnachtsmann von diesen Wünschen erfüllt ;) Was sind Eure Wünsche? Erzählt mal :)

Very good point Cuchy. But especially with the dark colors and the thin cheaper wood it is not a problem. Since Glimmer Mist settles the paint first on the surface – so if you have a dark color you do not need much :)

Vibrant colours and so beautiful. Thanks for the tuto
Just a doubt: Haven’t you used a primer before spraying? Doesn’t the wood absorb too much paint if it’s not primed?

DT Work: Using CD Pockets for creating fun Mail Art *Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L*

As the days get shorter I have more time to prepare invitations and gifts as well as sum mail to send out. I love to send out Mail Art and one of the products from SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES by 3L I like to use are their CD Pockets. You can actually use them not only for the obvious storing of CD – no – you can do some fun things with them. But see yourself in my video:

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4V9ixFge8Jk&fs=1&hl=de_DE]

I hope you enjoyed the video and will try out all the fun ways you can use your CD Pockets with.
