Nat’s Spring Pattern Fun – Video 1-7 Recap

When I received my new RubberMoon Stamp Designs I once again couldn’t stop making samples and patterns (remember last year’s April Patterns — well it happened again this year lol). I decided to record a short video for some of them and post them on my Instagram.

These videos are short and sweet – You can see what I use and how I pull the pattern together. I hope it inspires you to give some of them a try and maybe come up with your own too.

Here is a recap of Patterns 1-7 – I hope you enjoy :)

First up is a simple but very bold pattern using the Empire Triangle stamp from my Triangle Love stamp set:

Video 02 is a super easy pattern using my Stained Glass Triangle from my Triangle Love stamp set:

Next up is an argyle style diamond pattern using my Star Triangle stamp from my Triangle Love stamp set:

Video 04 is using my Sunburst Triangle stamp from the Triangle Love set to create hexagons:

Video 05 shows 2 border patterns and a loose field of pattern, all using stamps from the Triangle Love Set:

Next up is a pattern using my Mini Motifs stamp set – 3 stamps from that set that fit nicely together:

Video 07 is using the Tulip Triangle from my Triangle Love set and it is neat to watch the hexagon transform into a star and then into a larger hexagon:

Here are some of the stamps I used for these patterns:

Art Journal Flip Through – March 2020

I wanted to share a little Flip Through video of my newly finished art journal.

I keep about 4-5 journals at the same time so they are always filled with an eclectic mix. This one highlights some pages I made using my last batch of new stencil designs as well as some pages that you may recognize from some of my Online Workshops.

Do you keep several art journals at once or do you work through one at a time?

Loved the journal flip through. I like the style you mostly used with this one. I keep several journals at a time also. Not all of them are art based. I love to create with words mostly. Happy March! Thanks for sharing!

Art Journal Flip Through – 09/2019

I wanted to share a little Flip Through video of my newly finished art journal.

I keep about 4-5 journals at the same time so they are always filled with an eclectic mix. This one brings back some good memories (from just a few days ago lol) from the Stencilbop Challenge – the place to go if you need inspiration for using those stencils. Looks like there’s also some playing in there from my rubber stamp release this past spring – loved making patterns with those.

Do you keep more than 1 art journal? How quickly do you fill them up?

Outside the Box – Art Journal

“Sometimes trying to think outside the box ends up in thinking right in the box!”

I began this page by sketching a figure… but sometimes what you don’t know is how an art journal spread came together- see me fighting off my cat and spilled ink – and then just deciding to live with it on a weird Monday afternoon in this video:

Although it was fun to have Pretzel’s paw make a cameo, arting with your cat can be tricky. I don’t recommend it lol

But I do recommend just going with what happens when you are working. The spilled ink and all! Actually to bring my page together I used my Paint Splat Mixed Media Chip as a stencil (very fitting with my messy process that day). And I added a stamp from the Fanfare set too.

Here are some of the supplies I used:

Art Journal Flip Through – 05/2019

I wanted to share a little Flip Through video of my newly finished art journal. I started this one in September 2018.

I keep about 4-5 journals at the same time. This is an art journal I made by hand, from start to finish. It’s something I’ve gotten more into and it’s a fun skill to learn. You can take my online workshop BYO Art Journal and start binding your own unique journals too.

Hope you enjoyed the flip through!

I love looking over your shoulder while you flip through your journal.
How did you film this? Do you put your camera on a tripod and angle it down?

    Loved it Nat!
Be brave enough to let yourself be bad is a hard one for me…really need to let go of the need to do things “right”.

Pattern Sample Book Flip Through

I wanted to share a little Flip Through video of my newly finished Pattern Sample Book. I started Nat’s April Patterns back at the start of April with my new rubber stamps and decided to bind them together in one book. It was relaxing and super fun to create the patterns and now I have an awesome resource for inspiration. Enjoy the flip through!

Here are some of the patterns from the video:

Using my Floral Tile Large, Floral Tile Small, and Fan-fare rubber stamp sets.

Using my Hex Set Large and Hex Set Small.

Here I used my Fan-tastic Large set, the Solid Fan, and a stamp from the Fan-fare set.

This one uses the Fan-tastic Small set, the Solid Fan Small, and the Small Circle Jumble set.

And this one uses my Large Circle Jumble set, the Solid Fan in the large size, Small Circle Jumble set, Fan-tastic Small, and Fan-fare.

I hope you enjoyed this and are inspired to try some patterns of your own. All my new Rubber Stamps can be found in my Online Shop. Here are the supplies I used for these patterns:
