Rachel Juanita Bellamy

About Rachel Juanita:

I am Rachel Juanita, the artist behind Soul Reign Art. I am a mixed media artist who reunited with art after a 20 year career in coaching and leadership development in the military and public sector. I don’t know who found who, but I am grateful that God used art to heal my wounded soul and to serve as a platform to share the transformative power of art with others.

After graduating from seminary in preparing to go into ministry, I experienced a traumatic soul wounding that sent my voice into exile. It was only thru art that I was able to heal, restore and reclaim my voice.

The freedom and lack of control that mixed media provided was just the balm that was needed to express the full emotion of my trauma and release the past so that my soul could reign. It is my purpose and passion to help others in their journey of emotional, spiritual and cultural healing thru the transformative power of art.

I create art, art courses, experiences and excursions to facilitate healing. My art style reflects my personal quest to connect with my ancestors and ancient artisans, in what I call “Tribal Marks Art” Every piece of art I create, I sign with my heart’s prayer, “May Your Soul Reign.”

Martice Smith

About Martice:

Hey, y’all! I’m Martice, a multi-media creative, photographer, and designer from Kansas City, Missouri. I have an insatiable craving for neon colors and texture! I’d describe my artwork as a visual symphony of bright colors, patterns + florals with an abstract, graffiti twist. Sometimes, I like to go off-beat and combine traditional media (acrylics and watercolors) with digital techniques.

I teach creatives how to bear hug their artsy superpowers by infusing a playful vibe into their art process. I do this by creating online courses, videos, and offering one-on-one creativity coaching sessions. In my free time, you can find me taking care of my mini jungle of tropical houseplants or watching cute panda videos.

I’ve been blessed to have my work exhibited, collected worldwide and featured in industry magazines and books like Cloth Paper Scissors, ‘A World of Artist Journal Pages’ and ‘Incite 3: The Art of Storytelling’.

Kristin Williams

About Kristin:

Kristin Williams has spent a lifetime playing with yarn, glitter, clay, rubber stamps, embroidery floss, paper, paints and glue. She was lucky to have an incredibly talented craftswoman for a mother who saw great value in children’s art and craft classes and projects. That planted a seed for lifelong learning and craft supply hoarding.

Reductive painting using ephemera, mediums, acrylic paints, tons of mark making with acrylic inks & vintage dip pens is Kristin’s current obsession and as well as nightly stitching. A self-proclaimed “ADD Artist,” she dabbles whatever involves art and art supplies.

A native of Knoxville, Tennessee her former career in economic development brought Kristin to Paducah, Kentucky in 1996. She soon fell in love, put down roots and calls it home. A happy “Yaya” she is grandmother to three beautiful little girls and step-mom to wonderful young adults. She and her husband, John love to cook, eat, drink wine, travel, and take in the outdoors.

Kristin is the owner of the workshop venue and retail store Ephemera Paducah located in Kentucky. She is looking forward to hosting in-person classes again mid-2021 but in the meantime can be found teaching and selling all kinds of cool stuff on social media.

Glenda Miles

About Glenda:

Welcome to my beloved space; the liminal between the familiar and the completely unknown. Did you find an old shoe box of print pictures during our collective quarantine? Do the whispers of forsaken photographs ever call to you while pursuing an estate or thrift store? Getting lost in the sacred space of what once was and what can be connective and transformative. Welcome to my zen; digging through mountains of neglected photos and unlocking the untold stories. Taking a deep dive into the faces and places of found snapshots it’s easy to see our common humanity. It can be a powerful tool of creation.

I work primarily in paper / digital collage, book making, assemblage and encaustic. Being both self-taught and a student of accomplished teachers in mixed media arts for the past twenty years has greatly inspired and reinforced my skills. At the age of 52, I returned to college after decades of caring for my amazing son on the Autism spectrum to complete my education, receiving a Bachelor of Integrated Studies from Miami University in Multicultural Leadership and Arts and Culture [Cum Laude]. In 2015, I opened Creative Communion, Studio 107 at the Pendleton Art Center, Middletown, OH, where we champion the power of creative well-being through art and radical inclusivity.

Caylee Grey

About Caylee:

I’m Caylee Grey. My art journaling adventure began as a way for me to get messy, ditch perfectionism, stay accountable, and consistently create art. But, magically, it transformed into something so much more than that too… For the past six years I’ve been happily swishing and flicking my arty wand over at Get Messy Art as I help fellow creative humans embrace the mess and magic of a fulfilling creative life.

Nancy Curry

About Nancy:

I’ve been a creative all of my life and the creations have taken me down many paths, but it is art that has my heart. I crave those Zen-like sessions where the art and I are completely one. The world slips away and nothing else matters except the art. It’s a magical and energizing time.

My art journey has been one with many unexpected paths. I had childhood lessons, but stepped away as a teen only to meet back up with it in my thirties during the rise of paper and stamp art. I played in that sandbox for years, loving the community, honing my skills, and busied myself with print work, authored a book, and traveled extensively teaching. I still love my roots and keep a big toe in that industry. The most surprising discovery was how much I loved having a paintbrush in my hand, so in 2011 the second act was born. My current playground is varied but most of my time is split between painting, fluid art, and Citra Solv work. I am smitten with whimsy, quirk, yet love elegance and verbiage. I split my time between abstract and objective work, but try to stay playful and spontaneous. Don’t stop the merry-go-round. I never want to get off.
