Whatevers Round 2 #7…or Weird But Happy

the WHATEVERS 2 A

Are you ready for the 6th photo of the Second Round of Whatevers? If you missed what the Whatevers is all about or want to see all the past photos and takes…check it out here.

Click here to see what Cat, Vicki, Martha and Cuchy made out of the photo and which story they tell. (I will add the missing links later- since I am at CHA we couldn’t get all links together ahead of time )

Here is my take:

Journaling: Some People thought they were a weird couple, but they just had a fun and wonderful time and he carried her on his hands.

The tutorial on how I made this and what I used is part of Creative JumpStart today :) So if you signed up- check it out at noon EST :)

And here is the photo of this month’s Whatever for you:

Whatevers7NatKalbach

Here is how it works

  • Vicki, Cat, Cuchy (Carmen), Martha and I and I have made a one-year commitment to each other and picked twelve photos with Whatevers whom we will give a story.
  • Every month – if possible always on the 15th –  each of us will do a post with an individual story that goes along for us with the same photo.
  • If you want you can play along and we will have the photo for you to download and show us your version of The Whatevers. The photo will be posted at the end of our blogposts- not on Facebook!
  • There is no rules to the story itself- it can be funny, sad, uplifting, breathtaking- WHATEVER
  • There is no rules on the length or the form of the story– it can be a short sentence, an essay, a poem or a soap opera – WHATEVER
  • There is no rules on the artform you choose – it can be a scrapbook layout, an altered art project, an artjournal page – WHATEVER
  • Here is a rule though: if you take the photo you have to link back to us and show us your story.
  • These pictures are from our personal stash and are for personal use for you only! If you want to use them for a publication whether a book or magazine in print or digital form please ask for permission!
  • If you want to participate we’ll have a linky list for each Whatever Post.
  • You can also join our The Whatevers -Facebook Page

thank you :)

PanPastel Resist Technique

CJSUberMediaOWSLOGO

Those of you who were part of the Creative JumpStart 2013 saw the videos that me and my artist friends posted on my website throughout January 2013.  The videos are not available here anymore, since CJS 2013 was only available till June,  but I thought it would be nice to repost my 10 technique videos over the next couple weeks- so that you have access to them whenever you want and see what CJS 2013 was all about.

And now let’s jump to the video Number 8 in my Über*Media Creative JumpStart 2013 Workshop which was the PanPastel Resist Technique :)

If you have no external speakers on your pc – turn up the volume a lot (the audio is very low in this video)

CJS 2013 Technique 8 Pastel Resist from Nathalie Kalbach on Vimeo.

As you might have seen I just proposed Creative JumpStart 2014!

CJS2014Lable

It will work slightly different this year and has some major improvements like a forum and an easier access- and I can tell you already the line up of artists and the videos are AWESOmE!!! For 20 Dollars -that is less than 1 Dollar per video (23 videos by 21 artists) it is a great deal! Check out the information here :)

I would love to have you!

And here are my supplies I used for the PanPastel Resist Video above:

Have a gorgeous and wonderful day!

Give The Gift Of Creativity

Gift20

Only 6 days until Christmas. Need a gift for a creative artist or crafter? You can now give someone a gift certificate to CJS 2014.

Just select the “$20 Gift Certificate” product in the n*Studio shop and check out online. (/shop/gift-certificate/20-gift-certificate/) On the billing and payment page, you’ll find a section to name the person you want to give CJS to. Just enter their name and email address along with a personalized note.

The recipient will then get an email from n*Studio that includes a discount code for anything in the n*Studio shop. If you want to give the gift certificate to the recipient personally- just have it sent to you and you can print it out.

All they have to do then is add Creative JumpStart 2014 to their cart and checkout using the code. And voila, they’re in!

I will also add other gift certificates later today with different values if you want to gift one of my online workshops in the shop.

Wishing you a wonderful day

hugs

nat

Nat calls Joe…or…What’s MOOJOO?

Joe Rotella was really down when I called him last week – he lost his Mojo – but I had a solution. Don’t give up on the video before you see the bloopers (appr. at 4min)..they have me in stitches every time I see them ;)

Joe Lost His Mojo from Nathalie Kalbach on Vimeo.

Moooojoooo -it is when Muse and Mojo run away together;)But you can find them on this fantasy island called CJS14 :)

Have a gorgeous day

huge hugs

Joe seems like such a fun and creative guy (based on other things that I’ve see online that he made, not the card he is holding in his hand). LOL

I’m excited to announce that I decided to do Creative JumpStart again. Here it is: Creative JumpStart (CJS) 2014.

Creative JumpStart (CJS) 2014 Teaser from Nathalie Kalbach on Vimeo.

If you’re not familiar with CJS, it’s a one-of-a-kind community event to inspire your creativity.

Need help getting your creative mojo going in 2014? CJS can help.

Throughout January participants get 23 videos from 21 featured artists.  It’s an amazing event where you can learn new techniques, discover new materials, and connect with other artists.

Head on over here to sign up and for more details. CJS costs just $20 for the 3.5 hours of video content. That’s less than $1 per video — a great deal.

So join me and 20 other artists this January for CJS 2014! We are looking forward to have you!

huge hugs

Hello — I signed up for CSJ 2014, and was unable to participate due to several health issues and hospitalizations. I would like to know if there is any way I can still access these videos. I would really like to be able to Jump Start my art again!
Thank you for any help you can give me in this.
