Ich war eigentlich richtig guter Dinge heute- bis….ich mir mit der Schere in den rechten Ringfinger schnitt – fragt nicht wie! Es tut weh und ich bin nun schlecht drauf – tolle Wurst! Morgen ist aber auch noch ein Tag ;-)
I was in a really good mood today…until….I cut myself with a scissor into my finger – don’t ask how? It is a nice triangle …it hurts and I’m grumpy now…let’s say Cranky!!!! Oh well – tomorrow is another day ;-)

Was für ein besonderer Tag…nicht nur wegen Valentin – nein, nein, auch weil mein Patenkind Luca vor acht Jahren auf die Welt gekommen ist. Ich erinnere den Tag noch genau. Ich war in NYC und hatte den Tag für mich alleine – wir wohnten im Battery Park und ich wußte, daß Luca ungefähr an diesem Tag auf die Welt kommen sollte. Ich war im World Trade Center – unten in der Einkaufspaassage und ging zu Telefon und rief an – was für eine freudige Nachricht – und dann lief ich in NYC rum – ganz happy und überall waren Herzen und Blumen zu sehen – und ich dachte- was für eine tolle Deko für mein kleines Patenkind. Ja und abends…da führte mich Jim nach einem leckeren Abendessen oben in das Restaurant des Nordturms des World Trade Centers, damit wir von dort aus die wunderschöne Aussicht geniessen konnte. Ja …das war ein ganz besonderer Tag!
What a special day today …no no- not only because of Valentine’s Day – because my little godson Luca was born on this day 8 years ago. I totally remember this day. I had been in NYC and had the day vor myself. – we lived in Battery Park and I knew that this might be the day that Luca would be born. So when I was in the mall underneath the World Trade Center I went to a pay phone and called my friend in Germany and what a wonderful message!!! Later I was walking through NYC all warm and fuzzy – and there were all those hearts and flowers- and I thought- what a gorgeous decoration for my little godson ;-) . And in the evening after a wonderful dinner- Jim took me to the World Trade Center Restaurant and we enjoyed the beautiful and breathtaking view. Oh yes…this was a very special day!

Ich weiß nicht, ob das unbedingt Hybrid ist, aber ich drucke manches auf Overheadfolien und verwende es dann. Ich hab mir aber vorgenommen, das noch öfter und zum Beispiel auch mit Papier zu machen. Mal sehen!

Klasse, das sieht sehr cool aus. Ich scrappe gelegentlich hybrid, v.a. wenn ich ein Foto und Papier einscanne, das Foto dann digital mi dem Hintergrund verschmelze, ausdrucke und dann aufklebe… Man hat viele neue Möglichkeiten! Aber 100% digital scrappen reizt mich so gar nicht.
Grandioses Frühlingswetter heute – wahnsinn. Ich sende Euch heute ein wenig Mojo – das kleine Mädchen schaut doch aus, als sende sie ein wenig Mojo aus- oder? Der Hintergrund wurde mit der “Paper Tearing”-Technik gemacht, die Daphne und ich letzte Woche gezeigt haben. Schaut auch mal Daphne’s Layout an – es ist bezaubernd geworden!
This is such a wonderful sunny spring day here today- very warm – awesome. I send you some Mojo today – this little girl looks like she is sending mojo-vibes – doesn’t she? The background was created with the Paper Tearing Technique, Daphne and I showed last week. Please also take a look at Daphne’s layout– it is so beautiful!!

Scrapping the Music ist auch ein Challengeblog, den ich sehr ins Herz geschlossen habe. Wöchentlich wird ein Song abgespielt und auch der Text entsprechend gezeigt- das Designteam läßt sich davon inspirieren und zeigt seine Werke und wer will kann mitmachen. Diese Woche gab es den Song *World* Five for Fighting. Das hat mich zu diesem Layout inspiriert.
Scrapping the Music is another challenge blog I really love. Weekly there is a song played and the lyrics are shown and the design team shows their layouts inspired by the song. This week’s song is *World* Five for Fighting. And that song inspired me to this layout.
Journaling reads:

It’s going to be a long hard drag, but we’ll make it.
I used the emboss resist technique on the background.

Es ist schon etwas besonderes sich auf so vielen Seiten zu sehen und seine eigenen Gedanken zu lesen.
I’m so happy – I got the February/March Issue of Somerset Memories in my mail which includes an article about me as a Featured Article. It is something special for me to see myself on so many pages and and to read my own thoughts.
