I’m selling my old camera bag. I assume this is more interesting for the German readers so I leave this untranslated :-)

War klar…neue Kamera …neue Crumpler Tasche. Nicht dass die neue Kamera nicht in die alte Tasche gepasst hätte, aber ich schleppe immer Unmengen an Krams mit mir rum, daher also eine neue. Doch meine “alte” Tasche liebe ich über alles- die Farben und das Design und deswegen würde ich sie gerne an gute Hände verkaufen ;-) Neu kostet sie 50,00 EUR – Crumpler Lollipop. Sie ist in einem super Zustand!
Beschreibung: Crumpler Lollypop (LL-005) olive/grün
Fototasche aus Wasser abweisendem Material mit verstellbarem, gepolstertem Tragegurt, dicke Polsterung, 1 Klett-Innenversteller zur Fixierung der Kamera und des Zubehörs in der Tasche, Deckel mit Klett- und Klippverschluss, außen aufgesetzte Reißverschlusstasche mit diversen Innentaschen für Zubehör (z. B. Speicherkarten, Filter oder Akkus)

Mir gefällt sie, aber leider wohne ich in der Schweiz und inzwischen ist ja das Porto von DE nach CH unverschämt teuer geworden.

Studio DaphNat: Modeling Paste Technique

Inspiriert worden Daphne und ich diesmal durch Ashely Calder’s Buch Scraptastic. Wir wollten unbedingt die Modeling Paste Technik ausprobieren und hier ist sie.

Daphne and I were inspired by Ashley Calder’s Book Scraptastic. We tried the Modeling Paste Technique and here it is.

Was Ihr braucht – What you will need

Cardboard
(Pinsel) Brush
Gesso
Modelier Paste/Modeling Paste
Spitze/Point Stylus
Kreide/Chalk
optional Neocolors II
Kosmetikschwämmchen/Eye Make Up Applicator

Zunächst braucht man einen Untergrund – am besten einen der recht fest ist – so etwas wie Graupappe oder Karton. Dieser muß zunächst mit Gesso behandelt werden, damit die doch feuchte Modellierpaste nicht durchzieht.

First of all you need a surface that is pretty sturdy- you can use cardboard or something similiar. You need to prime your surface with gesso otherwise the modeling paste will soak through.

Wenn das Gesso getrocknet ist, tragt eine dünne Schicht (nicht zu dünn) Modellierpaste auf. Entweder zieht Ihr sie ganz glatt, oder aber für mehr Struktur lasst Ihr ein paar Unebenheiten. So wie ich – ich mag es lieber uneben!

After the Gesso dried, apply a thin coating of Modeling Paste. You can either do it totally smooth or leave some bulky areas for more structure. I did it with more structure- I like it better that way!

Wenn die Modellierpaste getrocknet ist, nehmen einen spitzen Gegenstand – zum Beispiel dieses Gerät für Embossing – und ritzt Formen, Buchstaben, Blumen – was immer Euch einfällt, in die Paste hinein. Seid vorsichtig, dass Ihr nicht zu fest aufdückt und dadurch dann auch den Cardboard mit einritzt.

After the Modeling Paste dried use a pointy tool to draw some shapes, letters, flowers – whatever comes to your mind – into the paste. Be careful to use not to much force as you can injure the cardboard too.

Nun könnt ihr entweder mittels Kreide und einem Kosmetikschwamm über die einzelnen Formen drüber wischen.

Now you can use chalk and an eye make up applicator to color your background.

Ich habe darüber hinaus meine wasserlöslichen Wachsmalkreiden verwendet.

I also used my water soluble crayons.

Und so sieht mein Versuch dann aus

And this is how my trial looks like

Germany’s Next Top Model ;)

Einige von Euch haben es sich ja schon nach dem gestrigen Post gedacht – ich habe “sie” gekauft. “Sie” hat mich gestern den ganzen Tag begleitet und macht total viel Spaß ;)

Some of you got it already after yesterday’s post – I bought it. I had a good friend all day yesterday and had a lot of fun ;)

Mein bevorzugtes Model war erst recht interessiert, welche überdimensionale Kette mir denn am Hals hängt und hat sich geduldig ablichten lassen.

My favorite Model was at first pretty interested in the über dimensional pendant around my neck and was really patient being photographed.

Er hat sich auch gewundert, dass seine “Gemüseerkundung” von mir nicht mit dem üblichen Klatschen in die Hände und lauten Unmutsäußerungen begleitet worden – nein – da wurde schlicht draufgehalten mit der Kamera :-)

He might have wondered why his little “caught in the act” moment – where he was paying a bit too much attention to our veggies in the sink – wasn’t followed by the usual clapping in hands and saying loud and grumpy words. He was just photographed ;)

Aber nach einer Weile hat er echt sauer geschaut wenn ich ankam. Wenn Blicke töten könnten und die Krallen schien er auch schon rauszufahren.

But after a while he looked pretty annoyed when I came. “If looks could kill I’m a-dead now” !

Ich muß noch viel üben und lernen- aber ich freue mich riesig über meine neue Kamera!

I have to try and learn a lot – but I’m really happy about my new camera!

Layout: The Same Procedure As With Every Layout

Inspiriert wurde der Titel natürlich durch Dinner for One – uns Deutschen ein Begriff – LOL – aber den Amerikanern zum Beispiel nicht. Und weil wir aus nicht mehr nachvollziehbaren Gründen mit unserem Besuch aus USA über eben diesen “Film” sprachen und ihn dann – eine Premiere für mich – im Juli ansahen…blieb der Spruch in meiner Birne hängen:-) Also Layout machen :)

I was inspired by the short movie sequenz “Dinner for One” which is most of us Germans and I guess many Europeans per se known. It is kind of a tradition to watch it every New Years Eve. It is funny – even though I have watched it about 30 times- LOL. When my family from the States was over last week we somehow had this topic and they didn’t know it – so we watched it (In July – eeeeks-LOL). “The Same Procedure as Every Year, Mrs Sophie” is one of the main and repeating phrases of this Movie and it is common to use it in daily life here sometimes too :-) So the phrase got stuck in my head and had to be covered in a layout ;-)

Layout: Gate to the World

Entscheidungen, Entscheidungen – LOL. Ich trage mich mit dem Gedanken eine schöne Nikon 60D zu kaufen! Brauche ich sie? Brauchen, brauchen…nicht wirklich – ich habe eine Kamera, keine SLR aber sie funkioniert! Möchte ich sie? Aber HALLO! Ich habe einen schönen Bonus an der Arbeit erhalten und das wäre jetzt genau die Gelegenheit….oh mannnnnnnnn ….LOL! Ich denke mal noch ein wenig drüber nach!

Decisions, Decisions – LOL. I’m thinking of getting a nice Nikon 60D! Do I need it?Need, need…not really – I do have a camera – not a SLR – but it works! Do I want it? Oh YES! I got a nice bonus at work and this would be the right opportunity…ohhhh boy….LOL! I will weigh this a little bit more!

Card: Thanks for the Visit and Prima Donna Blog

Hier eine Karte die ich am Wochenende kreiert habe – es hat Spaß gemacht – endlich mal wieder mit Papier zu arbeiten -eine Woche Pause ist halt schon ganz schön lange :-)

Here is a card I created – it was so much fun to have finally paper in my hand again – a week long break is pretty long :-)

Supplies: Riff Raff Curly Tree, Embossing Powders, Sei Paper, Prima Lace, Making Memories STickers, MME Paper, Pink Paisley Paper, Vintage Book Papers, Sewing Machine, Punchinella, Acrylic Paint.
