Layouts with eMOTions by Liz J.

I’m really happy to show off some Layouts that my close friend Liz J. did with my eMOTions paper and transparencies – see yourself.

*Welt Ordnung*

I love how she used the clouds as journaling spots and also used two different papers under the Transparency.

And I’m totally digging her stitching!

Und das Genähte ist total genial!

*Who’s that Girl*

Love the scalloped layers and the repeating of the stars with embossing powder!

Thanks for sharing Sweets! Danke fürs Zeigen Liz!

If you have a layout or project created with my eMOTions Line, I would love to see :)

Somerset Memories Spring 2010

I received my complementary Spring Issue of the Somerset Memories Magazine. It is full with awesome articles and layouts! If you never had one of these Magazines in your hands -do yourself a favour and get one- 160 pages of inspiring, awesome quality – beautiful! And I don’t just say so because I have a new article in it with my column “Nathalie’s Studio” – I really mean it.

The article is about “Stenciling: Repeating a Good Idea” – and you might figured from the title…LOL – lot’s about stenciling and spraying ;)

Der Artikel heißt “Stenciling: Repeating a Good Idea” und Ihr mögt es schon herausgefunden haben…LOL – es geht um Stenciling und Sprühfarben ;)

In Germany you can get the magazine for example here at CreaVil.

I was especially touched by the Editors sweet words on our photo on the first page “Letter From the Editor” this time.

Ich war besonders berührt von den lieben Worten der Editorin und unserem Photo auf der ersten Seite “Letter From the Editor”

Thanks for letting me share :)

Have an amazing day!

Wear your Adhesives on the Outside – And the Winner is…

Finally – here we go….the winner of the following ….

is the person with the number

ist die Person mit der Nummer

and that is this person

und das ist diese Person

Congrats Kim :) I guess it does indeed now say K-I-M all over it! – I can’t wait to see what you are creating!

———-

I would also like to use this post to get your attention for these two events that I do not attend but recommend :)

If you are in Australia – why don’t you sign up for the amazing workshops that Heidi Swapp and Wendy Senger from Tattered Angels are going to teach!

And if you are in Denmark or Germany- or close to Denmark – then you shouldn’t miss this event on October 2nd. I won’t be there this time- but will be teaching again next year in March at the 12th Scrapbooking Convention in Middelfart, Denmark.

Scrapbooking Convention in Dänemark wieder unterrichten.

Photos: Inspiring Neighborhood

I love my neighborhood – really I do -and especially with protest actions like those. Last weekend the artists showed their future plans with the area – it was really interesting and walking around place was sooo inspiring – here are some photos.

I hope you like them – have a gorgeous week!

Layout with eMOTions by Cuchy

I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to see layouts that are made with my papers, transparencies and stamps- it is just something to special…hard to describe- but believe me …it rocks :) So this layout by sweet Cuchy – Carmen – from Spain is just making me plain giddy and happy :)  Cuchy is such an amazing artist and I’m so happy I was able to meet her last year in Barcelona at my workshops – you have to check out her blog!!!

*Sweet Heart by Cuchy*

Here is what she wrote/hier ist was sie geschrieben hat:

“I must say that was so funny to play with it. The papers are great quality and also the overlays. I’m not a super fan of acrylic stamps, but they stamp well and the font is gorgeous. love it.

Love your designs. They are funny and creative. The papers are beautiful “per sé”. You can see the texture through them.

I didn’t want to make a busy layout, I wanted to see the papers, so it is a simple page.

i cut out the heart to make a frame for the picture of me and my brother in his 2nd. wedding. the edge of the frame is clear embossed to show a deep colour of the background. the strip below is one of your papers transferred to sticky canvas. i almost lost my fingertips rubbing :) and stitched to the background. A torn upper corner to show a dotted overlay and a couple of stars on the other corner.”

Here are some more detail shots:

Thank you so much Carmen for sharing this amazing beautiful layout with me :)

Oh and don’t forget you can still post a comment here today in order to win those papers and the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Products.

Layout: Do it, Do Art

I did this the March Guest Designer for Kits des Somni- gorgeous spanish kit club!!!

Do it , do Art

This layout is kind of like an art journal page- it reflects some of
my thoughts and self doubts about my art. I chose a poem by Charles
Bukowski to keep me going :)

if you’re going to try, go all the way. there is no other feeling
like that. you will be alone with the gods and the nights will flame
with fire. do it, do it, do it. do it. all the way all the way. you
will ride life straight to perfect laughter, its the only good fight
there is. “charles Bukowski”

DT Work: Hello Spring *ScrapTastic April Kit*

Love this month’s kit with it’s fresh colors – I had a lot of fun working with it.

*Hello Spring Kit*

And here are my layouts:

*Chou*

I used the Pink Paislee Rub On Sheet as a whole and rubbed on textured white cardstock –

*One*

my sweet godson on his first birthday.

*You make my world*

Painted the bottom of the paper with acrylic paint and used a comb to get the structure. Punched out some scalloped circles, used those as masks and sprayed over with Glimmer Mist. Afterwards cut the circles into spirals and created the roses.

*Gaelle*

I so love what Gaelle and Mauri did – it is pretty cool to see the first time what other do with your own paper designs :)

*Gaelle Fauglas*

using my paper and the negatif alphabet stamp set.

*Mauri Cita*

using my paper, transparency stripes and also the negatif stamp set.

Mauri also did a cool video:

And here are some two layouts I created

*Zion*

I love how the “sun” paper and the clouds transparency fit together :) I also used the positif stamp set I created.

*Hamburg meine Perle*

A layout about my love for Hamburg- Hamburg meine Perle is from a song in German – Hamburg my Pearl – you can hear some snippets of the song in the following video :)

Painted the transparency stripe with some acrylic paint

Love the cut out positif stamp alphas

and of course you need some pearls for this layout :)

If you created something with my papers, transparencies or stamps- send it to me – I would love to see it !
