Layouts with eMOTions by Alice Dabush

The sweet Alice Dabush from Israel who had invited me to teach workshops earlier this year created this stunning layout with my papers about her niece- I love how she used the flower paper as a nice background.

DT-Work: This City is Full of Music *InfoCrea*

I love when you find things in the city that speak to you – make you heart spring and make you happy :) Like this laundry – like music notes lined up…ahhhhh!!!

*This City is Full of Music*

To unify the background and blend the music theme even more, I used a music sheet stamp and used Dye Inks. I misted the stamp after applying the inks with water for a softer look.

Supplies: Studio2Mer “Rhapsody”-Papers, Infocrea MusicSheet Stamp, Rose Moka Sticker Letters, Ecco Green Crafts Paris Trunk Inks, SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES by 3L™ Foam Pads and E-Z Runner.

I hope you are all well and wish you a gorgeous day!

DT-Work: Easy Folders *InfoCrea*

InfoCrea sent all the Designteam members those fun and practical 12×12 inch folders by Sultane and challenged us to alter them and use a closure too. I used this green one – because I love green :)

And this is how the folder looks now  – und so sieht die Mappe jetzt aus:

I first cut out the journaling label of the folder with a sharp cutting knife. I used the eMOTions Transparency and painted the stars from the back with Acrylic Markers and attached the transparency to the folder. I also cut out two of the clouds from the eMOTions paper and mounted one of them for dimension on foam pads. I re-attached the journaling lable to the transparency. I stamped the letters with the eMOTions letter stamp and cut them out. Some of them are mounted on SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES by 3L™ Foam Pads.

For the Closure I used one of the small Transparency Stripes from the eMOTions collection and cut two slits into the cover of the folder. I attached the strip to the back and weaved the stripe on the front through the slits. Very easy and effective closure.

Have a wonderful day!

Euch einen schönen Tag!

Fun Workshop and Surprise Guest – Julia Andrus

What a weekend! It was HOOOT – LOL – about 95 Fahrenheit when I had my Eternal Love Workshop in my own apartment. And it was fun. With a nice group we had a ball using paints, inks, Glimmer Mist, Alcohol Inks and all kinds of fun stuff – while melting away, eating and drinking and chatting. :)

And then we had a surpise guest – Julia Andrus – an amazing women and artist – who is not a stranger in the bussiness (I just say she developed some really popular products for a different company and wrote an AMAzING book). She now co-owns a company called Eco Green Crafts which makes the coolest Acrylicpaints, Inks, Artist Media and other artist materials – ecofriendly and free of harmful substances. We all just loved the quality of the rich pigmented colors – here are the acrylic paint tubes – packed in recycled material and the dye inks – you have to see the colors and how it works in real person!

Julia did not only share her uplifting and hope raising story with us on how she survived cancer and how this made her change her lifestyle and actually choose another career path. It was simply eyeopening and touching!  – she also shared some of her techniques with us -We loved it. She was just doing one after the other in such a fun and inspiring way- I could have watched and listened to her forever!

Thanks to everyone who came – it makes me actually once again realize what a wonderful hobby it is and how grateful I am to get to know such gorgeous people! And Thanks to Julia for sharing her short time with us in Hamburg- it was such a pleasure to meet you …and maybe not for the last time ;)

….and then the game….woowaahh

…und dann das Spiel ….wowwahh
