DT-Work: Door Sign *Tattered Angels*

So as you might noticed :) our theme at Tattered Angels is WOOD this month. One of my projects was new Namesign for our door. I used a wooden board and also a natural wood sticker – which shows a deer.

Ihr werdet es vielleicht schon gesehen haben :) diesen Monat haben wir den Fokus auf HOLZ bei Tattered Angels. Eines meiner Projekte war eine neue Türschild. Ich habe ein Holzboard und einen Holz-Hirsch-Sticker verwendet.

I used the new Winter Glimmer Mist color Gumdrop and Jack Frost for the back and on the sticker I painted a bit Glimmer Glam- Hay Ride and then used Glimmer Mist Tattered Leather on top. I also used some of the new border stamps and spelled our name with the Framed Watch Fonts.

Ich habe die neuen Winter Glimmer Mist Farben Gumdrop und Jack Frost für den Hintergrund genommen – und auf dem Sticker habe ich ein wenig HayRide Glimmer Glam gestrichen und dann mit  Glimmer Mist Tattered Leather drübergesprüht. Ich habe auch einige der neuen Border Stempel benutzt und unseren Namen mit den Framed Watch Fonts aufgebracht.

It is really fun to use the products on wood. So many possibilities :)

Es hat so viel Spaß gemacht, die Produkte auf Holz zu benutzen. So viele Möglichkeiten :)

Secret Santa Ornament Swap 2010

It is this time of the year again – after some thought: We will have the Secret Santa Ornament Swap again :-), now the 4th  year in a row! If you would like to create one cute little ornament for someone please email me till next Thursday November 11  at nathalie.kalbach(at)gmail.com. Let me know if you would send out internationally and your address. I will email you your happy recipent by next sunday. You have to commit to send out the ornament the latest by December 1st! If you think you can’t keep up with this deadline, please do not play along – I don’t want any sad faces here!!! Last year one person did not receive her ornament – but it was sent out. It is always a risc here -but I can’t take responsibility. We can only trust each other and trust the mail system. Send me a picture of your ornament by December 1st. After December 15th I will show all the ornaments on my blog :-)

Es ist wieder so weit! Auch dieses Jahr gibt es eine Auflage des Geheimen Weihnachtsbaumanhänger Wichtelns, die 4. Auflage. :-) Wenn Ihr also Lust habt einen Anhänger zu basteln und diesen an jemanden weiterzuschicken, dann meldet Euch  bis Donnerstag, den 11. November bei mir per Email bis Sonntag: nathalie.kalbach(at)gmail.com. Schreibt mir bitte, ob Ihr auch international versenden würdet und Eure Adresse. Ich emaile Euch dann Ende der nächsten Woche den Namen Eures Empfängers! Der Anhänger muss bis zum 01. Dezember versandt worden sein! Wenn Ihr diesen Termin nicht einhalten könnt, dann meldet Euch bitte bitte nicht an, ich möchte niemanden enttäuscht sehen! Letztes Jahr gab es eine Person, die ihren Anhänger nicht erhalten hat, aber rausgeschickt wurde er. Es gibt immer ein Risiko- aber die Verantwortung kann ich hierfür nicht übernehmen. Wir können uns nur gegenseitig vertrauen und das gilt auch für das Versandsystem. Schickt mir von Eurem Anhänger bis 01. Dezember ein Bild. Ab dem 15. Dezember zeige ich dann alle Anhänger :-)

Last year we had 22 participants and you can see all the awesome and different ornaments  here – it’s a lot of fun.

Letztes Jahr haben 22 Leute mitgemacht und Ihr könnt all die grandiosen und unterschiedlichen Anhänger hier sehen – es hat so viel Spaß gemacht!

    Wanted to join again. But was a bit scared my ornament wouldn’t arrive as it didn’t last year (after two attempts, now it is somewhere… who knows)
    Anyway, the chocolat I put in the box is to old now or has been eaten by somebody else :-)

DT-Work: Home Sweet Home *Tattered Angels*

This little wooden bird house found a new home :)

Dieses kleine Holz-Vogelhaus hat ein neues Zuhause gefunden :)

I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and Glimmer Chalkboard as well as some Glimmer Glam on the base and then used a Tattered Angels Swirl Stamp and stamped randomly. On the wonderful wooden DieCut I used different Glimmer Glazes and Glimmer Glam. For the roof I used some flocked paper and painted it with Chalkboard and also Glimmer Glam.

Ich habe Tattered Angels  Glimmer Mist und Glimmer Chalkboard sowie etwas Glimmer Glam auf dem Hintergrund benutzt und stempelte dann mit einem  Tattered Angels Swirl Stamp hier und da auf. Auf dem wunderschönen Holz DieCut habe ich verschiedene Glimmer Glazes und Glimmer Glam verwendet.  Für das Dach habe ich geflocktes Papier ausgepuncht und mit Chalkboard und Glimmer Glam aufgetragen.

I had so much fun working on this…I think I might do a another one :)

Es hat so viel Spaß gemacht hiermit zu arbeiten, ich denke ich werde noch ein weiteres machen :)

Somerset Memories and Give away

In my article I wrote about how it is sometimes good to step back in the Scrapbooking World and create with just a few materials and ephemeras layouts that still or maybe just because of that reason have a meaning :)

    Lovely layouts…warm and rich and they all deserve a second and third look to grasp the different layers. I would like to read an article about using handwriting in scrapbooking (doesn’t everyone hate his own handwriting…) and also about the “truth” behind a layout… how long did it take to make… did it wait on your desk until suddenly you knew how to end it.. process of work.

    love the idea about stepping back.

    i always love to read about different media in your articles! i saw on the LO “soulmate” you created the title words yourself (?) that is something i love to do and i think i’d like to read about techniques how to create your own unique titles with different media.

    Also mich würde zum Beispiel ein Artikel darüber interessieren, was für Farben du verwendest. Von Acryl- bis Stempelfarben oder so..und was wofür natürlich :)

    Ja löblich das mal zu erwähnen, dass unser Hobby eben auch mit eher “profanem” Material eines der Schönsten is! :) Was nich heißt, dass ich nich auch regelmäßig dem Zauber des bunten, teuren Zeugs zum Opfer falle …
    Themenvorschlag hab ich auch. Wie man sich Layout-Ideen von den “Profis” holen kann, indem man sich Plakate, Zeitschriften, Bücher, Broschüren etc. mal genauer anschaut und ein wenig abkupfert.
