Artful Adventures with Henri Matisse - Online Workshop

The Artful Adventures workshop series will introduce you to master artists from around the world and throughout history, and through their techniques and style inspire YOUR mixed media art journaling and artmaking. This workshop focuses on Henri Matisse - the beloved artistic master of color, shape, and line from the 20th century, with an artistic style that is expressive, playful, and inventive. Through 4 technique lessons discover how to translate some of Matisse's signature elements into your own art journaling and art making practice. Learn about Matisse's paper cut outs and compose a scene using collage and pattern. Experiment with different color palettes and the expressive use of color by drawing from Matisse's work. Play with repetition and experiment with some of Matisse's favorite subjects and motifs. Finally delve into the reductive method of art making to create focus and emphasis in your work. Are you ready to go on an Artful Adventure with Henri Matisse?
