SignUps for the 2nd round are closed now- will reopen again appr. April 2012
Welcome to my first workshop in the Über*Media series:
The PanPastel Online Workshop
You can watch the video also here:
In this PanPastel online workshop
we will start with the basics and in five lessons over six weeks we will make our way up to more complicated techniques.
Each of the first four lessons will end with a tutorial for two artjournal pages showing the learned techniques.
After that, in week five I will answer questions that might have occured during the class and share your work too.
Finally in week six I will show you how several of the learned techniques can be combined and used on a project whether it be a scrapbooking page or an altered art project.
During the fun workshop lessons you will also learn a lot about all kinds of materials, mixed media, layering and design principles. I will share with you why I’m doing things, how I got the idea and what works and what doesn’t seem to work. Mixed Media doesn’t have to be intimidating!
I will also set up a flickr gallery for sharing your work so that we all can see it and have a group to chat about the work and see it!
How this workshop works:
Each week I will post new videos and a downloadable text-only- PDF that covers the essentials of the videos.
We will start on Sunday, February 5th, 2012. I will always post at around 6pm (18.00) Central European Time.
Then on the following weeks each Sunday I will add the next lesson. You can ask questions in the comment section for all to see.
You can work at your own pace and the workshop will be available here for you to play until July 31, 2012. After this date the password will be changed.

WHAT FORMER STUDENTS SAID ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP:
Martha Richardson, USA:
Nathalie’s workshop introduced me to techniques using PanPastels, an art medium that I had never used before. To be able to concentrate on just one art medium allowed me to gain knowledge that I can use over & over again. I highly recommend taking an online workshop with Nathalie. I will be signing up for the next in the series of her workshops!
Carmen Sanchez, Spain:
“Über*Media PanPastels workshop has been so much fun. Nathalie knows how to make things amusing. The workshop covers lots of different uses for PanPastels in the mixed media field. The videos and pdf files are very useful and descriptive. The sample projects are so creative. Also the timing is great. You have plenty of time to play and practice in between classes and Nathalie is always willing to help and answer your doubts. I’d totally recommend it”
Hedwig Schlötjes Belle, The Netherlands
Nat is a very inspiring and experimental girl who shows you good, new tricks and all new kind of techniques. Because of her experimental nature, you can be YOU in her workshops. No need to make what she does, but it’s about being creative yourself. Much better, if you ask me, and i have experience as i was in her PanPastel class which i liked VERY much. Besides that, Nat is a kind person, quick in answering questions and encouraging you as a student.
What are PanPastels?
PanPastels are highly pigmented pastels that come in a pan form. The beauty about them is that they can be used as paints and they do not dust as much as regular pastels. The colors are absolutely amazing and there are many fun things you can do with them using them in combination with other materials and media.
Are they like Oil Pastels?
No – the difference is that PanPastel are bind with a drying binder while oilpastels are bound a non drying oil-and wax binder. So the consistency is different and the appearance and the possibilty on what to use on and with them.
Where can I buy PanPastels?
PanPastel has a great list of stores on their website also including online stores. They do have startersets which might be the way to go when you have never tried panpastels.
Which colors should I have for the workshops?
Choose the colors that you like! There are different combinations and there are no rules on what colors you have to use during the workshop. I want you to work with what YOU love!
If you have more questions- post them here – chances are other people have the same questions – and I will absolutely answer them directly and here

Have signed up for this, can’t wait for the class to begin.
