Spring Canvas

Nachdem mein Welcome-Canvas eine weiter Reise von Hamburg nach Utrecht, von Utrecht nach Amsterdam, von Amsterdam nach New York City und von dort nach Kalifornien angetreten hat (hint, hint, hint ;-) ) mußte ich den etwas hässlichen freien Raum an unserer Wand mit einem neuen Canvas füllen. Und hier ist er- der Frühlings Canvas.

Well after my welcome canvas had to take a journey from Hamburg to Utrecht, from Utrecht to Amsterdam, from Amsterdam to NYC and from there hopefully to California (hint, hint, hint ;-) ) I had to fill up the ugly white spot in our eating area with a new canvas. And here it is – the Spring Canvas.

Supplies: pigments, Heidi Swapp Maks, Paint Pens, Bubble Wrap, Danyeela Patterned Paper, Making Memory Journaling Spot, Stencils, Neocolor II Crayons.

I think it looks way better in real live :-)

DT Work: Scrapmuse March Kit Part II

Frohe Ostern :-) Das Wetter ist grandios- die Sonne scheint, der Bauch ist voll mit Köstlichkeiten – und gleich geht es raus! Aber nicht ohne noch den Blog mit dem zweiten Teil meiner Arbeiten mit dem Scrapmuse Kit zu updaten

Happy Easter or Happy Spring! :-) The weather is gorgeous – the sun is shining, my tommy is full with yummie food – and it is time to go out! But not before I showed the second part of my work with the wonderful Scrapmuse Kit.

*Newly Wed*

DH and me at our wedding in the States 2004.

The Cherry Arte Paper on the rectangled blocks are is treated with crackle gloss – so it looks like old wallpaper in real life.

*Traditions*

Home for Christmas means dinner at Shalimar – 2001

I painted a piece of Cardboard with Ranger’s Crackle Paint and added the 7 Gypsies Metal border.

I used Masking Tape as a background and painted it with water soluble Crayons- my new found love (Thanks Celine!).

Ok – die Möhrenmuffins sind fertig, nun kann ich rausgehen ;-)

Alrighty- the carot muffins are done – I gotta go out now ;-)

    die LOs habe ich schon bei scrapmuse bewundert. absolute fantabulous. besonders das crackle gloss hat es mir angetan.

DT Work: Scrapmuse March Kit Part I

Das Scrapmuse-März-Kit hat mir richtig Freude bereitet. Die schwarz-weiß Papiere von Cherry Arte mit den roten Farbtupfern schrieen geradezu nach Romantik ;-) Eine Ausnahme gibt es- LOL.

The Scrapmuse March kit was totally fun to work with. The black and white papers from Cherry Arte with those red colors splashes are screaming for romantic layouts ;-) A little exception is there too – of course – LOL

I added some pigment paint on to the polka dots and the cut out butterfly and also painted the Chipboard letters in the same color. The edges of the white cardstock where made with Neocolor II.

    I like the bright red in that one, very pretty. I bought a lot of black & white papers recently, hopefully when I get to them, they will look as nice as yours. Love the photo in the 2nd one :)

Ich finde ja 1973 ist ein recht guter Jahrgang ;-)

Spring-Cleaining Mega RAK

Ok – Ihr kennt das sicher – die Sonne mischt sich mit Hagel und Schnee, die Heizung gluckert im Wechsel einem klappernden geöffneten Fenster, die Laune steigt und …das Haus wird auf den Kopf gestellt: Frühjahrsputz. Oh yes. Jedes Jahr von der Speisekammer über den Medizinschrank, von der Dachterrasse zum Scrapzimmer, alles muß dran glauben – und da ist im Scrapzimmer so einiges schönes zusammengekommen – schaut selbst!

I’m sure you know this – the sun takes turns with hail and snow, the heater grumbles when the window is not open, the mood is getting better and better…and the house is turned upside down: spring cleaning. Oh yes. Every year the same procedure: from the food pantry to the medicine cabinet, the roof terrace, the scraproom – everything has to be cleaned and so I piled up some nice stuff from my Scrapbooking drawers – but see yourself!

Rouge de Garance, Cherry Arte, Dream Street Papers, Elsie Love Papers- and more – Rub ons, Minialbums, Chipboard, Flowers, Ribbon – a huge pile!

    I love what you do with chipboard/grungeboard. Just from scrolling down through your posts I was really inspired to try some new techniques with chipboard accents (painting, etc.).

Blog Love: OLW – Find your Path

Nach einem Photoswap mit Jennifer bekam ich von ihr dieses Foto ihrer Tochter Zoey, das den Namen “Zoey in the Woods” trägt. Und da fiel mir spontan etwas zu dem dieswöchigen Wort bei One Little Word ein.

After a photoswap with Jennifer I received a photo from her which was namend “Zoey in the Woods”. And I had an idea right away related to the word this week at One Little Word.

Supplies: Basic Grey Paper, Lasar PaperWerx Digi Paper printed on cardstock, Danyeela Patterned Paper, Heidi Swapp Chipboard Letters, Hambly Screenprint Rub Ons, Grungeboard, Perfect Pearl, 7 Gypsies Dye Wash, Ranger’s Glossy Accents

I mixed perfect pearls, water and 7Gypsies Dye Wash and sprayed it on the Grungeboard, heated it up and put the Glossy Accents on top. I like how it turned out in real life.

Art Journal: My thoughts – right now

Kennt Ihr diese Tage wo man kränkelt, schlecht gelaunt ist, sich nicht geliebt fühlt und einfach nur im Bett bleiben möchte? Also ich kenne die – und da habe ich mich gezwungen meine Gedanken an einem solchen Tag mal künstlerisch zu verwerten – und heute bin ich schon wieder ganz lustig drauf ;-)

Do you know those days where you feel sick, cranky, unloved and want to stay in bed? Well –  know those but I forced myself to put my bad thoughts in a creative way – and today I feel pretty funny about it ;-)

Hässlich? Kann sein – aber das war ziemlich befreiend ;-)

Ugly? Maybe – but it was really freeing ;-)

Layout: Yummie Old Man

Dies ist eines der Layouts die während des Workshops in Utrecht entstand. Der Hintergrund ist bemalter Malerkrepp – das ging mir recht schnell von der Hand ;-)

My DH had some problems turning 40 so I told him, I hope he won’t turn into a grumpy old man – LOL – but when he finally hit the 40 I told him he is still a yummy old man ;-)

Der Stempel an der Seite gehört Celine -ich habe mich so in diesen Stempel verliebt, dass ich die letzten Tage ununterbrochen an ihn denken mußte. Ehrlich – kein Scherz. Ich habe lange nach ihm gesucht und dann hat die süße Liz ihn für mich gefunden und nun ist er hoffentlich bald MEIN SCHATZ :-)

The stamp at the right site is from Celine – oh boy I fell so in Love with this stamp – I couldn’t stop thinking about it the last days. Seriously – am I weird? I have searched long for it and then it was found by sweet Liz and now it is hopefull soon MY PRECIOUSssssss :-)
