About how cool it was to go to CHA and how this experience inspired me.

Supplies: Hambly Screenprints Peacock Paper, Journaling Overlay, Rose Moka letter stickers, Crepe Paper, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and Glimmer Glam, Acrylic Paint, Scrapbook Adhesives Photo Tape

I used different Glimmer Mist colors on the white Crepe Paper and also some Glimmer Glam. I painted with grey acrylic paint on the back of the Hambly Transparency so the writing would be visible.

LO: Reunion *Hambly Screenprints*

If you know me and my work some time- you know I’m a huge huge fan of Hambly Screenprints. I did write about this manufacturer alredy in 2006 and declared my Love ;)  I love the design, the smell, the colors – EVERYTHING about their overlays, papers and rub ons – if it wasn’t just so hard to get here in Germany. So when Allison gave me some of her limited colored screenprints at CHA, I was totally stoked. And inspired.

Wer mich und meine Arbeiten schon seit längerem kennt, weiss, dass ich ein großer Fan von Hambly Screenprints bin. Bereits in 2006 habe ich über diesen Hersteller geschrieben und meine Liebe erkärt ;) Ich liebe das Design, den Geruch, die Farben – ALLES an ihren Overlays, Papieren und Rub-Ons -wenn es halt nur nicht so schwerig wäre, die Sachen hier in Deutschland zu bekommen. Als  Allison bei der CHA mir ein paar der farblich limitierten neuen Screenprints gab, war ich total glücklich. Und inspiriert.

Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Basics – Videos

As you might know I’m on the Designteam for Tattered Angels and before I have been an Tattered Angels Educator – I also just got certified and will go back to the Teacher’s team some time after my design team term. After I received a couple emails with questions about how to use the Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist I decided to do a short video on some basics of using it. And I decided to do it with a voice over – so I could actually do an English and a German version. So I hope you enjoy and if you are new to Glimmer Mist will find some questions answered :)

Wie Ihr wisst, bin ich im Tattered Angels Designteam und davor war ich ein Tattered Angels Educator- ich bin sogar gerade erst zertifiziert worden und werde bestimmt nach meinem Designteam-Jahr wieder ins Lehrer-Team zurückgehen. Nachdem ich einige Emails mit Fragen zu dem Gebrauch von Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist erhalten habe, habe ich beschlossen ein kurzes Video zu machen, in dem ich die Basics erkläre. Und ich habe beschlossen das ganze so zu machen, dass ich die Stimme hinterher aufnehme, so dass ich eine englische und eine deutsche Version machen kann. Ich hoffe es gefällt Euch und beantwortet Euch ein paar Fragen, wenn Ihr gerade erst anfangt mit Glimmer Mist zu spielen :)

LO: French Cooking Class *Studio Calico Anthology*

So in Love by the new paperlines that Studio Calico came out with. Here is a layout I created with the new Anthology line.

see this? After Jan had me bringing him one over I wanted it badly- so here is a brad made with the paper and the I Top Brad Maker– soooo cool!!!! You can even use fabric with it and make your own brads.

Seht Ihr das? Nachdem Jan mich gebeten hatte ihm so ein Werkzeug mitzubringen, MUSSTE ich das haben – einen Brad-Macher (hehehe klingt schön) mit dem Papier und dem  I Top Brad Maker – so genial!!! Man kann sogar Stoff damit verwenden und seine eigenen Brads herstellen.

Expect Miracles *g.c.d Chip Art*

I told you that one of my many favorite new products at CHA has been the g.c.d Chip Art designed by Melody Ross. I hadn’t had time to do the Make and Take there and was totally thrilled then Melody gave me a stampset, tool and chipboard pieces at lunch.

Ich hatte ja schon erzählt, dass meine neuen Lieblingsprodukte bei der CHA die g.c.d Chip Art Kollektion designt von Melody Ross waren. Leider hatte ich keine Zeit das Make and Take zu machen und habe mich dann super gefreut, als Melody mir beim gemeinsamen Mittagessen eines der Stempelsets, das dazugehörige Werkzeug und ein paar Chipboard Stücke gab.

And so it comes that I tried my very first piece of jewlery two days ago. Now keep in mind I said FIRST piece…LOL – I by no means think this is perfect- but it was fun, I love it and I’ve fallen even more in Love with the Chip Art Products :)

Und so kommt es, dass ich vor zwei Tagen mein allererstes Schmuckstück angefertigt habe. Nun…ich sagte ERSTES Stück, vergesst das bitte nicht …LOL – heißt ich weiß, dass es nicht perfekt ist – aber es hat Spaß gemacht, ich liebe es und ich finde die Chip Art Produkte jetzt noch cooler :)

you can see the rose engraved in the chipboard much better in real life- it is really cool. I wish I had more of those pendants – I’m ready and wish to create more :)

Die in den Karton eingestanzte Rose kann man in Echt viel besser sehen – sieht voll cool aus. Ich wünschte ich hätte mehr dieser Anhänger – ich würde so gerne mehr kreieren :)

Valentine’s Shadow box

My sweet and supertalented friend Vicki Chrisman had the idea for this shadow box Die Cut which was then produced by AccuCut. So I was really honored when she handed me a cuple of those boxes at CHA and asked me to create something with them. I did my first one and I love love love it.

Meine süße und unglaublich talentierte Freundin Vicki Chrisman hatte die Idee für diese Objektrahmen Stanzer, die sodann von AccuCut hergestellt wurden. Ich habe mich sehr gefreut, als sie mir einige Ausgestanzte Objektrahmen bei der CHA gab und mich fragte, ob ich nicht was damit kreieren könnte. Ich habe gerad mein erstes kreiert und ich liebe es total.

I’m also so in Love with the Crafty Secrets Products– those Cotton Swaps and the Fairy Scrap Sheets are the sweetest to work with.  Every Vintage-Loving heart just beats a nodge higher with those products :)

Ich habe mich auch total in die Produkte von Crafty Secrets verliebt – diese Baumwoll-Swaps und der Fairy Scrap Bogen sind so superknuffig. Jedes Vintage-liebende Herz schlägt da gleich ein wenig schneller :)

Photos: Frozen Lake Alster

Our Lake Alster it frozen. This happens really rarely – about every ten years- last time 13 years ago – and it is a huge event here in Hamburg. Here are some pictures of the fun. If I would only know where my ice skates are …I haven’t seen them since the last move – lol

Unsere Alster ist gefroren. Das passiert ungefähr alle zehn Jahre – zuletzt vor 13 Jahren – und es ist ein Riesenereignis hier in Hamburg.  Hier sind einige Photos vom Spaß. Ich wünschte nur, ich wüßte, wo meine Schlittschuhe sind…mmmh ich habe sie seit dem letzten Umzug nicht mehr gesehen – LOL.

The most right steeple you see is our city hall

about 40.000 were on the lake. This is nothing – if the lake will be frozen even more they add little cabins on the lake and have a little “Party” – then there will be hundreds of thousands.
