What can I say…I’m tired but inspired Our event was so much fun. Anna and I arrived on Thursday and did some work and organization before the event started…still having some time to sit in the wonderful sun outside

Was kann ich sagen…ich bin müde aber inspiriert Unser Event hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht. Anna und ich sind am Donnerstag angekommen und haben noch einige Arbeiten erledigt, bevor das Event dann began…aber wir hatten trotzdem noch Zeit in der wunderschönen Sonne draußen zu sitzen

We started Saturday with my Layout Workshop “The thoughts are free”

Los ging es am Samstag mit meinem Layout Workshop ” Die Gedanken sind frei”

and continued with Anna’s Canvas Workshop
und machten mit Annas Leinwand Workshop weiter

The last workshop was my Minialbum workshop – well…I did really not take a lot of pictures-

The next day we woke up and all was white outside
Am nächsten Tag wachten wir auf und alles war weiß draußen

Anna taught her wonderful two classes and I taught my Canvas Workshop this time.
Anna gab ihre zwei wunderbaren Workshops und ich habe meinen Leinwand Workshop gegeben.

As always my favorite thing was that all pieces were different and that the students had fun to work – for some of them – outside the box.
Wie immer war ich besonders glücklich darüber, dass alle Werke unterschiedlich aussahen und dass die Teilnehmer Spaß bei den Workshops hatten – für einige vor allem dabei, einmal etwas völlig anderes zu tun.

Vintage Street Market – so much fun!

One of my visits at the Winter CHA has been to the Vintage Street Market booth – I had discovered them a couple months ago in the www and subsribed to their amazing blog not even realising for a long time that the two owners are the wonderful Allison and Michelle – who I know for a bit

Their booth was really amazing – a real eyecatcher - and I love the concept of their Products. Not only Vintage themed, no you can use their products for Scrapbooking AND Giftwrapping AND Homedecor. Seriously fun!!!

I have been so lucky that they gave me a pack of their Dimestore Vogue Kit and I had a blast playing a bit with it.

The kit will come with

-Two 24″x36″ decorative printed paper sheets

-One 24″x36″ aqua foil sheet

-One 24″x36″ brown crepe sheet

-One 12″x12″ sheet of coloful Tags & Things-decorative die cut embellishments

and I have to admit at first I was a bit stunned at how to work with a 24″x36″ piece of paper – well…no problem. You can easly cut the piece with your paper cutters in individuell 12″x12″ pieces- but the beauty is that you can also use the bigger pieces to wrap up presents or work on bigger projects. I have always been trying to use my scrapbooking papers for gift wrapping- but they were either to sturdy and/or to small for most gifts. So this rocks.

I also love the huge foil and crepe paper sheet coming with the kit – I see a lot of other fun things created with them.

I also love that the package itself is really cute and the whole thing about Vintage Street Market is also sharing Memories and fun facts about Vintage related things.

I created the flower with the Aqua Foil.

*Celebrate Card*

For this card I used the die cut girl and tag from the Die Cut Sheet. The Background was created with the a fun technique using Letraset Promarkers, Ranger’s Blending Solution and the beautiful stamp by La Blanche on the also really cool LaBlanche Keramikpaper.

And the best…there is still so much left from the kit- that I can play even more ! Love it- check them out!

Upcoming Workshops February and March,2011

Time flies – I can’t believe that the ScrapJause Event at the end of this month is so close. I so can’t wait for this- Anna, Birgit and I are pretty excited about our Mixed Media/Scrapbooking Weekend.

Die Zeit fliegt – Ich kann es kaum glauben, dass das ScrapJause Event am Ende des Monats schon so nahe bevorsteht. Ich kann es gar nicht mehr abwarten – Anna, Birgit und ich sind ziemlich aufgeregt und freuen uns auf unser Mixed Media/Scrapbooking Wochenende.

Also coming soon is the Scrapbooking Convention in Denmark, Middelfart. It is the third time I’m teaching there and I’m looking forward to see all the girls again

Ebenfalls bald findet auch die Scrapbooking Convention in Dänemark, Middelfart statt. Es ist das dritte Mal, dass ich dort Workshops gebe und ich freue mich schon darauf, all die Mädels bald wieder zu sehen

I will be also at the Creativa Trade Fair, a convention for design product and crafting in Germany, in March (16-20) demoing for SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES by 3L. If you are there – you can find me at the Creavil Booth- I’m looking forward to see you

Never forget Tattered Angels

Oh – I totally forgot about this layout I created with the new Prima MIST-ab-les for the CHA Tattered Angels Booth.They are 12×12 inch printed Canvas Sheets. I love the Mist-ab-les – so much fun to work with.

The photo is a bit poor in quality- since taken late night before going to CHA

The butterlies are from another sheet of those MIST-ab-les.

I love how yo can cut them out and use them for different projects. All Glimer Mist Colors used are the Coordinating Prima Colors.

2011 Mini Album Punky Sprouts

I created this album for the Punky Sprouts CHA Booth and I loved playing with different media and the fun book. It is about my look out for 2011.

Not showing you all pages- it is just too much- LOL

sorry for the poor quality of the photos but the sun somehow decided to make a rare show up – up here in the North each winter- LOL.

Heavy Metal…on Tattered Angels

is the theme this month and here are my projects

I found these 3 metal flower magnets- which funny enough also have a light bulb in the middle- so to make a little garland. I used some Glimmer Glaze just for the tips of the petals to make the color more prominent. They look so fun.

I altered this metal box that I found at a bazar using mostly Glimmer Glaze and Glimmer Glam.

I painted the the details using Glimmer Glaze, and the bigger areas using one of my favorite Glimmer Glams – the Tinsel Town. To finish it off I sprayed the box with the new Firefly Chalkboard Glimmer Mist and lifted some areas off again.

CHA Winter 2011 – This is just a LOVE NOTE to all I met and all I saw :)

I hadn’t much time to walk the floor and I have to admit that most of the time I didn’t even take photos. I just wanted to enjoy the time I had, looking, breathing the creativity and just meeting old friends and new wonderful people. There are many thoughts on my mind about the mood and behaviour on the floor – but I leave the deeper not so wonderful thoughts for my newsletter and just talk about the fun stuff here – so this is all about LOVEEEE and it is Picture heavy!

One of my personal highlights…and that was not even personal- lol- but I was just so giddy with excitement for my friend Julie Fei Fan Balzer – was her licensing booth. Ever since she told me about it in November I have been crossing my fingers for her and I was sooo excited. When I went down the hall on Thursday and she wasn’t there cause the flights were cancelled because of the weather – I almost cried…no kidding. I love her sooo much…yep – and I miss her dearly cause man…this New York Girl is right up my alley (ok- that is enough now…LOL)

Whenever I had a bit time I visited her and her mother Eileen down in the basement hall – and afterwards- I couldn’t stop laughing. Thanks for keeping me sane girl – Look at her awesome booth- I sooo love her work!

BTW….when you were not at the booth….Birgit and I did a little inpersonation of you – snigger

Another gorgoeus booth with amazing products was Vintage Street Market. I have been eyeing the amazing blog for a while now- and …yes…man…I’m really slow sometimes…hahahhaa- I just found out before CHA, that the new company is actually run by Michelle and Allison – who I know too- LOL. I love the concept and can’t wait to work with the yummiee goodies.

Meeting Julia Andrus from Eco Green Crafts again has been another favorite of mine – She is amazing and her products are so yummie. We had lot’s of chatting and we will have more in the future

Another pleasant surprise was the La Blanche Stamp Booth – wow – German…as most Germans know of course the name “LaBlanche” and the stamps- amazing. Can’t wait to play with them either.

My absolute HIGHLIGHT…the Canvas Corp. Booth – I’m in Love with those products- I wanna dive in, start working on canvas, burlap, denim – totally up my alley and the people working there were the nicest people on earth. You will definetley see me working more with those products

I had a loveley short visit at the graphic45 booth- always in Love with their projects and decorations and I love Diane and Aimee!

this circus stage…blew me away – I couldn’t stop looking at it. I forgot which of the amazing design team members did it…but whoever it is…GIRL you ROCK!!!

Time to sneak in a picure of mine- LOL – I bought this vintage dress on Hollywood Blvd. Man- do I love this dress…I so don’t care if someone thinks this is the only dress I own – LOL – you will see it a lot in the next years- just get used to it

The Prima Marketing Booth – I was really thrilled that I was asked to do some samples for them too – the funny thing though was that people didn’t recognize my work- they said it was different to my usual work…mhhh – I wonder…maybe I felt too pressured and didn’t stay true to myself? Mhhh – I still think it is me…

The canvas shows my BIL and SIL – so surprise to you guys…:) It will be on your doorsteps soon.
