Trust

I loved creating this layout- I did this when I had a down moment- and what better moment when to scrap right then ;)

TRUST

using some of my favorite Crafter’s Workshop Templates on the background paper, spraiying with Mallard and Timberline Glimmer Mist.

The Basically Bare currogated Cardboard heart was painted with thick layer of Lipstick Glimmer Glam and Orange Crush Glimmer Glaze.

I used some Fern and Monolith Chalkboard Glimmer Mist on top of the Chicken Wire Template and also painted the JiliBean Chipboard letters with Pewter Glimmer Glaze.

For the canvas fabric I used my beloved My StampBox stitching stamp.

And I finally could get myself to use my beloved compass that I found in a fleamarket store…..good thing I have a couple more- LOL

Supplies: Prima Paper, Crafter’s Workshop Templates, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Chalkboard Glimmer Mist, Glimmer Glam and Glimmer Glaze, Canvas Fabric, My StampBox Stamp, Eco Green Craft Artist Medium, Basically Bare Heart, Canvas Fabric, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Crafty Power Tape, Jili Bean Letters, Compass- Vintage

Have a gorgeous day :)

NJ and NYC – more East Coast Vacation

After coming back from the Cape we spent another day with our family and I even managed to sneak out with my fun sister in law to Frenchtown to visit Two Buttons an awesome store owned by the writer Elizabeth Gilbert (Eat, Love, Pray and others). Loved the store and there are so many more cute stores in this town – we had a great afternoon :)

We carved some pumpkins with the kids which was too funny – and yes- it was a bit early- but who cares- it was fun!

On Friday morning we took the train to NYC and met Julie for breakfast. Afterwards we spent the morning at MoMa- oh loooooveeee – I wish I could go there every month.

A little bit of shopping at Antrophologie and meeting some friends in the afternoon in the Village- perfect day – topped off with an delicious and funny dinner with Julie and her husband. While the husbands crashed, Julie and I had a chatty night…as always when we meet- LOL.

Saturday we had our co-teaching class . Julie is such an amazing teacher and it was just pure fun to work with her. We had a blast and we hope our students had too – well we all laughed a lot and the techniques looked all so different and awesome.

Can’t wait to have her in Hamburg for our Mixed Media Circus Event – it is going to be a blast. And that was our vacation then – the next day we flew back to Germany.

I think it is the first time I heard myself saying I could vision myself living in NYC ;) I have been in the City a couple times but that it was never the city I could see myself to see living in the U.S. :)

The Cove, the Cape and ….East Coast Vacation Part I

What a whirlwind trip and it was fun fun fun. We came in on a thursday and went to see our family in New Jersey and spent some time seeing friends too on Friday. We had a little birthday party for the kiddos which was lots of fun and then on Saturday I went to Scrappers Cove in Milltown. It was so much fun. I even had two German speaking girls in my class :) and I loved the atmosphere – I hope to come back next time I’m in the area ;)

On Sunday then we drove to Cape Cod where we had rented a nice little house. It was the perfect time to be there. Our land lord said he calls this the “Secret Season” – was the leaves are turning, the weather is still wonderful and there is almost no one there – perfect. We did beach hikings, watched sunsets and sunrises, bbq-ed, rented a tandem and managed to ride it even, did some shopping, ate lobster and saw seals in the ocean – it was AWESOME

More pictures of our vacation and the workshop in NYC with Julie to come :)

Have a gorgeous day

nat

Homedecor Canvas

Lately I have been playing on bigger Canvases – love it – giving me so much more room to play with texture…only…where to put it- LOL. The Canvas was part of an article I wrote about the Canvas Corp. Products in the Fall ScrapArtZine.

For the background I used different kinds of coarse paint media- like gesso with sand and speckeling paste. I sprayed the background with the Limited Fall Edition Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels.

Those awesome canvas and bulap banner pieces by Canvas Corp are so fun to play with either as Homedecor times or for an album. I used a Pink Paislee Mistable Screen on top of the canvas banners. The Letters are from Tattered Angels.

For the flower I used some yummie Prima Lace and in the middle- hard to see I placed a self made denim brad. So beautiful how all those products work together :)

Rumor has it

This title is actually from a song by Adele- which I love really a lot. The song also speaks to me :) The layout was published in the Fall ScrapArtZine.

Dieser Titel ist entliehen von einem Song von Adele – welchen ich wirklich sehr mag. Der Song spricht mich einfach an :) Das Layout war zu sehen in der letzten ScrapArtZine.

Journaling: Sometimes I notice that someone I barely know tells stupid stuff about me. After short anger I get reminded – telling stupid stuff is probably their only joy in their miserable life – so let them have their short happy moment!
