Layout: Fun in the Park

Something different…simple..well- LOL – for me and on 12 x 12 :)

Etwas anderes …einfach…na ja für mich – LOL – und 12 x 12 :)

*Fun in the Park*

next to the pictures it says- fake rock climbing, fake rock touching, fake ACME Rock, fake album cover

I also used the NationalPark Magazine-I loved the drawing and I thought it is pretty alone with not much other stuff.
Stamped with bubblewrap to tie the elements together, so it is not floating.

Supplies: Sultane Kraft Cardstock, National Park Magazine, Eco Green Crafts Acrylic Paint, K&Co – handmade adhesive borders,SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVE by 3L™, Heidi Swapp Chipbaord Letters

Layout: I create therefore I am

Just for fun – using up some snippets , trying things :)

Einfach nur so aus Spaß – ein paar Reste verwertend und neue Dinge ausprobierend :)

*I Create Therefore I am*

Journaling: I never thought of myself as a creative person. I liked art in school and had ok results but never felt this was a path for me. I chose the “non-creative” way for my life. Only in the last couple years I allowed myself to be more creative, embrace it – use it as an outlet and I have become a so much better person. It calms me down and makes me happy to be in my studio and let my hands do what they want. I’m lucky to find this out – I create – therefore I am :)

Supplies: Scraps of papers for example: KI-Company, Prima, Rose Moka, Graphic 45, Basic Grey, Autumn Leaves, Old postcard, pieces of doilies, Glimmer Mist, Golden Medium, Fabric, vintage lace, Tattered Angels Stencils, Rose Moka Stickers, Prima Centers, Quote-tag for books, Hambly transparent Stickerstripes

Techniques: I applied little – hand ripped pieces of scraps with a palette knife and golden medium to  a piece of cardstock. I used a stencil and sprayed over it with  Glimmer Mist to tie everything together. For the same purpose I sewed some crazy pattern over. I then glued down some of the strips vertically and  horizontal. I misted the Quote Tag – which I have from a book store and applied my journaling. I rolled fabric and old lace to a flower on some old music sheet paper and then misted this too.

Have a creative day :)

DT-Work: Vision Possible *Infocrea*

Sometimes there are things in our life that make you think that there is no way out…but this isn’t true – sometimes it is good to sleep over and see if there is a different path that you have missed before.

So I decided to create a layout in a situation when I felt exactly the way I describe above. I love to use transparencies to add layers :)

Ich habe also ein Layout kreiert in einer Situation, die genau der oben beschriebenen entspricht. Ich liebe es Transparente zu verwenden, um damit noch mehr Ebenen zu kreieren :)

I used Printemps gourmand,Special Mariage Transparencies, Innocence

Wishing you a wonderful day!

Inspirational Fridge Magnets *Tattered Angels*

In May I was featured on the Tattered Angels Main Page with a Project of the Month and I thought I should share the tutorial with your here too :)

*Inspirational Fridge Magnets*

Supplies:
Tattered Angels:
Glimmer Mist: Turquoise Blue, Cosmos, Meadow Green, Delphineum, Pearl
Chalkboard: Evergreen, Cornflower
Glimmer Glam: Golden Goddess, Chandelier, Bordeaux
Regal Glimmer Glass
Framed Fonts Butterfly and Traveler
Glimmer Screens: Elegant Emblems and Fanciful Screens

Other:
Cardboard
Crafty Secrets Fairy Sheet
7Gypsies Paper Tape
Ranger’s Crackle Paint, Sepia Archival Ink Pad and Glossy Accents
Tim Holtz Tokens
German Borders
Posca Marker
SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES by 3L™

Magnets
half pearls- unknown
Acrylic Paint
vintage music sheets

Cut out a house shape out of Cardboard. Paint with acrylic paint.

add some stripes of paper and/or tissue paper

Place a stencil over the house and start spraying with chalkboard. Set aside to dry

Take a Frame from the Frame Fonts and spray with two different Glimmer Mist Colors

go over the frame with an archival ink pad and paint with clear crackle paint. Set aside to dry.

Paint Houses with Glimmer Glam which is also going to work as a sealer. You can use two different color – one for the roof and one for the bottom of the house.

Now take the Pearl Glimmer Mist and spray over the House – heat it up – don’t burn it with the heating gun and move the liquid around with the heating gun. Once everything is dry, spray it again and repeat. Do several times until you get a mother-of-pearl like look.

Do this until you are satisfied with the look

You can now dress up your houses – doodle with markers around the edges, add scraps and fairies, some nice inspirational sentences and the frames.

Attach strong magnet to the back – and take a walk to the fridge ;)

And there you go – a nice little present or to keep for yourself – an inspirational Fridge magnet.

Don’t be silly – you have achieved something that most of those negative naggers can only dream of: you poured your energy into creating a fab paperline – they pour energy into stupid little words….who is gonna last longer? Your papers of course!
