I love creating travel layouts- It takes me back to the places I have been, memories of the adventures, the colors, the smells, the people and the noises are coming up while I create – usually another reason to include some techniques just to extend the remembering ;)

Reiselayouts mag ich total gerne. Sie tragen mich zurück an die Orte, an denen ich gewesen bin. Erinnungen an Abenteuer, Farben, Gerüche, Leute und Geräusche werde wach während ich kreiere – normalerweise auch einer der Gründe, dass ich ein paar Techniken mit einfüge -einfach um auch die Zeit des Erinnerns zu verlängern ;)

*Athens*

Athens was definetly one of my highlights this year- what a gorgeous city, wonderful people- yummie food :)

Athen war eines meiner Highlights dieses Jahr- was für eine tolle Stadt, grandiose Leute und leckeres Essen :)

The title was created with Letraset Markers.

Den Titel habe ich mit Letraset Markern gestaltet.

Love little twine loops – and I cut out the numbers of the Jillibean Paper and mounted them on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam squares. they actually look a bit like old tiny typewriter keys now.

Ich liebe diese kleinen Schnurkreise. Die Zahlen habe ich aus dem Jillibean Papier ausgeschnitten und auf Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam squares geklebt. Sie schauen ein wenig aus wie alte aber winzige Schreibmaschinentasten.

*Colors of Singapore*

Singepore was just a constant creative input with the colors everywhere. It was like color overflow – LOL- I loved it.

Singapur war einfach ein konstanter kreativer Farbinput. Total genial.

I used some yellow acrylic paint on bubblewrap to tie the cut out elements together.

Ich habe die ausgeschnittenen Elemente mit ein wenig Acryl-Luftpolsterfolien-Stempelei optisch verbunden. 

I actually left the chipboard letters naked as there was enough color on the page already.

Die Buchstaben habe ich hier einfach so gelassen wie sie waren, da ja schon genug Farbe auf der Seite vorhanden ist.

i’m addicted to creating mini-albums and i love using felt, fabric and other not really scrapbook related materials. there are so many lovely ways to use felt, and i just wanted to share a few with you.

felt is a cheap material and you can use it in any way you like. for this mini-album i used felt in numerous ways. first, i started with the title. don’t make it hard on yourself. write with pencil lightly on felt. cut it out with scissors and glue it on. if you need a guide, you can always use chipboard letters as a template or create your title in Word, print it out and use that as a template.

you can use felt as a page. make some cute flowers, simply works perfect for me. and when you use Tacky Glue it really really sticks. 

use it for creating embellishments. or as a basis for your journaling.

embroider sweet words on it. create hearts & houses.

really. try. if you’ve used it once, you’ll keep coming back for more! i hope i inspire you just a bit to use some felt in your next creation!

For the title I used the blank chipboard letters in the kit and stamped on them and then used PanPastels and Glossy Accent to give them a little textured grungy look.

Für den Titel habe ich die blanken Chipboard Buchstaben im Kit verwendet, bestempelt und dann mit PanPastels und Glossy Accent bearbeitet, um einen texturierten grungigen Look zu erreichen.

The Great Sand Dunes were a highlight of our USA trip last year especially for my husband :) He could have stayed there FOREVER. I’m a sissy though if it gets windy and I have sand in my eyes, my ears, my nose….blahhhh – LOL

Die Great Sand Dunes waren ein Highlight unserer USA Reise letztes Jahr – besonders für meinen Mann :) Er wäre am liebsten ewig dageblieben. Ich bin ja ein wenig muffelig, wenn es windig wird und ich Sand in den Augen, meinen Ohren und meiner Nase habe…bähhhhh – LOL

When Mireia and Tina from Scrapbook Werkstatt told me they are planning on having their own paperline and stamps I was stoked. I think it is about time that we have more quality papers and stamps manufactured in Germany and also with German words. When I received the Zeitreise Collection I was even more excited! BEAUTIFUL! The doublesided printed papers are of high quality and the acrylic stamps are detailed, and also of great quality. I had a lot of fun playing a bit and I’m looking forward to more of their upcoming collections.

Als Mireia undTtina von der Scrapbook Werkstatt mir erzählten, dass sie eine eigene Papierlinie und Stempel plannten, war ich total begeistert. Ich denke es ist an der Zeit, dass wir mehr Qualitätspapier und -Stempel, die in Deutschland und auch mit Deutschen Worten versehen, herstellen. Als ich diese Zeitreise Kollektion dann erhielt, wir ich noch begeisterter. Die beidseitig bedruckten Papiere sind von großartiger Qualität und die Acrylstempel sind detailiert und ebenfalls von großer Qualität. Ich hatte total viel Spaß mit der Kollektion zu spielen und ich freue mich schon sehr auf mehr der noch zu erwartenden Kollektionen.

I stumbled across those fun photos in my grandaunt and granduncle’s album showing a VW Beetle peeking out in a lot of their pictures. The beetle has been their first car and and they took it everywhere and it was entered in “sunday” clothes and in “sock -and -sandal” outfits going out for fishing :)

Ich bin über diese Bilder in dem Album meiner Großtante gestossen – auf diesen und anderen sieht man immer wieder diesen VW-Käfer rausblitzen. Der Käfer war das erste eigene Auto meiner Großtante und meines Großonkels und sie sind damit überall hingefahren. Und man stieg da auch in jeglicher Kleidung ob “Sonntagskleidung” oder “Socken-und-Sandalen-Kleidung” zum Angeln ein :)

Ich habe das neue  Family Fun Paper Kit  von Vintage Street Market und einen kleinen Schnipsel von ihrem  Dimestore Vogue Kit  verwendet.

For the background I used PanPastels blending different colors together. I love the gentlemen printed on the newspaperprint.

Für den Hintergrund habe ich PanPastels ineinander geblendet verwendet. Ich liebe diesen Gentlemen auf Zeitungspapier gedruckt.

I love this picture – isn’ t it fun how the guys are standing there enjoying a cold drink at the lake with their fishing pol in the hand? And let me just one more time point out the dressing socks and the sandals ;)

Ich liebe dieses Bild – ist das nicht witzig wie die Beiden da stehen und ihr kühles Bierchen genießen mit der Angel in der Hand? Ach und lasst mich doch bitte nur noch einmal die schönen Socken und Sandalen hervorheben ;)
