Layout with eMOTions by Cuchy

I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to see layouts that are made with my papers, transparencies and stamps- it is just something to special…hard to describe- but believe me …it rocks :) So this layout by sweet Cuchy – Carmen – from Spain is just making me plain giddy and happy :)  Cuchy is such an amazing artist and I’m so happy I was able to meet her last year in Barcelona at my workshops – you have to check out her blog!!!

Ich kann es kaum beschreiben wie glücklich es mich macht, Layouts mit meinen Papieren, Transparenten und Stempel zu sehen – es ist einfach etwas besonderes für mich – schwer zu beschreiben – aber glaubt mir – es rockt :) Also dieses Layout von Cuchy – Carmen aus Spanien macht mich einfach total glücklich und schwindelig vor Freude :) Cuchy ist eine grandiose Künsterlin und ich bin so froh, dass wir uns letztes Jahr in Barcelona bei meinen Workshops getroffen haben – Ihr müßt Euch Ihren Blog anschauen!!!

“I must say that was so funny to play with it. The papers are great quality and also the overlays. I’m not a super fan of acrylic stamps, but they stamp well and the font is gorgeous. love it.

Love your designs. They are funny and creative. The papers are beautiful “per sé”. You can see the texture through them.

I didn’t want to make a busy layout, I wanted to see the papers, so it is a simple page.

i cut out the heart to make a frame for the picture of me and my brother in his 2nd. wedding. the edge of the frame is clear embossed to show a deep colour of the background. the strip below is one of your papers transferred to sticky canvas. i almost lost my fingertips rubbing :) and stitched to the background. A torn upper corner to show a dotted overlay and a couple of stars on the other corner.”

This layout is kind of like an art journal page- it reflects some of
my thoughts and self doubts about my art. I chose a poem by Charles
Bukowski to keep me going :)

Close To My Heart

In this minialbum workshop you will cherish the “things” that are close to your heart. Nathalie will show you how to create a little book using canvas fabric and lots of acrylic paints. You will use different techniques and Tattered Angels Stencils to create a unique and heartful book. The techniques that are taught can be used in future projects and are versatile. Each student will create personal piece with beautiful Prima Marketing Papers, Tattered Angels Stencils, Stamps and Glimmer Mist. This workshop is for the creative mind that has no fear to get the fingers dirty and be playful. All Workshop materials and media will be at the class. A list of tools and some additional supplies that students have to bring will be provided before the workshops.

Wonderland

You Color My World

In this Minialbum Workshop you will pay a special tribute to someone who you love and who colors your world. Nathalie will show you how to work with Glimmer Mist and Glimmer Glam and how to create some colorful layered album pages that speak out of your heart. You will learn how Glimmer mist can be used in a different way then spraying them and you will also keep some focus on your journaling. This workshop is perfect to learn easy techniques with a quick and beautiful outcome and is great for beginners and advanced scrapbookers. Each student will create a unique and personal piece with beautiful Tattered Angels Products including some new Heidi Swapp signature products as well with some basic products that are easy to find in each household. This workshop is for everybody who wants to play with colors and learn some easy techniques and loves to try something new and playful. All Workshop materials and media will be at the class. A list of tools and some additional supplies that students have to bring will be provided before the workshops.

DT Work: Hello Spring *ScrapTastic April Kit*

Love this month’s kit with it’s fresh colors – I had a lot of fun working with it.

Ich liebe das diesmonatige Kit mit seinen frischen Farben – ich hatte eine Menge Spaß damit.

And here are my layouts:

I used the Pink Paislee Rub On Sheet as a whole and rubbed on textured white cardstock –

my sweet godson on his first birthday.

*You make my world*

Painted the bottom of the paper with acrylic paint and used a comb to get the structure. Punched out some scalloped circles, used those as masks and sprayed over with Glimmer Mist. Afterwards cut the circles into spirals and created the roses.

This is my last month at ScrapTastic. I really enjoyed my last year on the Designteam but it is time for a change. Thank you so much Bec and my other fellow Designteam friends- it was wonderful :)

Finally I can share some layouts and videos – by me and some lovely Design team members of Infocrea with my paper line eMOTions – I hope you like them.

I so love what Gaelle and Mauri did – it is pretty cool to see the first time what other do with your own paper designs :)

    Wow! Ich bin platt! Die LO´s von Gaelle sind der Wahnsinn! Also ich bin ja eigentlich nicht so der Knallfarben Typ! Aber wenn ich ihre Werke sehe, komme ich doch glatt in Versuchung!!! Da krieg ich sofort Lust, auch mit deinen Sachen zu spielen! Zumal ich ja ein absoluter Transparency Fan bin! Hm…ich glaub ich muss zu Scrapbook Kings….oje… ;-)

    Wow was für tolle LO´s. Das Hamburg meine Perle gefällt mir besonders gut. Ich finde es richtig toll, dass es die Papierchen jetzt beim King gibt. Meine habe ich mir an dem Sondertag bei Sultane schon gesichert ;-) … ich sollte sie dann jetzt auch mal langsam “verarbeiten”

Pendants for Scrapbook-Werkstatt

When Tina and Mireia asked me if I would like to create some pendants for their shop-blog Scrapbook-Werkstatt I didn’t hesitate, because I wanted to try those Ranger’s Inkssentials Memory Frames and Memory Capsules for a long time :)

Als Tina und Mireia mich fragte, ob ich gerne ein paar Schmuckanhänger für ihren Laden-Blog Scrapbook-Werkstatt kreieren wollte, habe ich gar nicht lang gezögert, denn ich wollte diese Ranger Inkssentials Memory Frames und Memory Capsules schon lange mal ausprobieren wollte  :)

Jewlery is such a huge trend right now and with those products you can create a unique, fun and quick project. First of all I used one of the capsules to trace a piece of background cardboard.

Schmuck ist ja sowieso ein großer Trend derweil und mit diesen beiden Produkten geht das auch noch super schnell und einfach! Zunächst habe ich eines der Capsules, die man auch wunderbar alleine wie eine Shadowbox auf Layouts benutzen könnte, ausgesucht und diese als Schablone für die Größe meiner Hintergrundpappe verwendet.

I added some old music sheets on the background paper and picked a nice Glimmer Glam by Tattered Angels Color to paint over it.

Auf die Hintergrundpappe habe ich altes Notenpapier geklebt und dies sodann mit dem bald bei der Scrapbook-Werkstatt erhältlichem Glimmer Glam von Tattered Angels bemalt.

The Glimmer Glam gives the music sheet a nice shimmer and also some extra texture.

Das Glimmer Glam gibt dem Notenpapier einen wunderschönen Schimmer und zugleich eine zusätzliche Textur!

I cut my grandaunt out of an old photo and also a fun hat from a Crafty Secret’s Fairy Sheet. I mounted the hat on some Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Foam Pads.

Aus einem alten Foto habe ich meine Großtante ausgeschnitten. Aus einem Fairy Sheet von Crafty Secrets habe ich sodann eine Kappe ausgeschnitten und auf 3D Pads montiert.

Then I glued the photo, hat, a beadapplication and other fun stuff down.

Photo, Kappe, Schmuckapplikation und Text sodann festgeklebt.

and glued down the Capsule too with some Ranger Glossy Accents

und sodann habe ich die Kapsel mit Glossy Accents  aufgeklebt.

You can open the Memory Frame easily on the side and slide the project in.

Der Rahmen (Memory Frame) kann an der Seite aufgemacht werden, so das recht einfach das geschaffene Werk mit der Kapsel (Memory Capsule) reingelegt werden kann.

And here is the finished pendant.

Und hier ist der fertige Anhänger.

For this project and filled in some halfpearls.

Bei diesem Anhänger habe ich noch ein paar Halbperlen zugefügt.

and for this pendant I chose a more colorful version by printing out two of my own Papers from the “eMOTions” collection as an Indexprint and glued it to the background paper.

und bei diesem Anhänger habe ich eine farbenfrohere Version erstellt, indem ich zwei meiner eigenen Papiere aus der Serie “eMOTions” als Indexprint ausgedruckt auf das Hintergrundpapier geklebt habe.

It was so much fun to create those pendants and I will defintely create more! Those Inkssentials are amazing as a personal gift or beautiful accent on a layout! I’m sure I will create more in the future.
Es macht soviel Spaß diese Anhänger zu kreieren und ich werde sicher noch mehr davon machen! Als ein persönliches Geschenk oder ein wunderbarer Accent auf einem Layout sind diese Inkssentials einfach der Knüller!

Tattered Angels’ Glimmer of Hope

April is Autism Awareness month. I’m so proud to design for a company that gets involved in causes like this and others.
Tattered Angels is introducing a new campaign called Glimmer of Hope. Periodically through the year they will be creating very limited new colors in honor of various illnesses/conditions, and a portion of the proceeds will be awarded to research organizations.

In honor of Autism Awareness, Liz and Patti from Tattered Angels have created a custom color called “Piece of Heart” representing the “puzzle pieces” that Autism Awareness is known for as well as for the beautiful of art/heart that each child represents. This color is a beautiful medium turquoise blue with a vivid golden glimmer. This limited edition color will sell exclusively on the Tattered Angels site for $5 and part of the proceeds for the sales will go towards Autism Speaks .
