Review ScrapScene E-Book: Mini Book Projects

This book can be purchased at scrapscene.com and costs 21.95 $ as a downloadable pdf.file. It has 43 pages and you can either read it on your computer or print it out.

The book includes eleven different mini book projects plus an extra chapter about binding techniques and printable patterns and templates.

All of the mini book projects are described with a photo of the project itself and start with a short description as what inspired this special project or where the idea came from. They also include a material list, very detailed step by step instructions including photos and tips and inspirations for other similar projects. Along there are also instructions for extra embellishments that are included in the mini books.

From how to create an altered book art journal to a painted cloth mini book, from a fabric mini book to creating a book made out of scraps. From a photo keeper to polymer super mini book: There are eleven books included that let your creative juices flowing.

I have to admit that I’m not creating a lot of mini books – but this book really made me want to create one right away. I was so inspired by those projects. The painted cloth mini book really touched me and is breathtaking. It is my favourite mini book in this issue and I positively want to create one myself.

Another feature of this book that I really liked is that it explains shortly different binding techniques. This list gives you a brief idea to how you can add some oomph and the binding to your mini album.

I really like this book – the projects are beautiful, inspiring and unique. Definitely a good investment if you love mini books or want to get new ideas and if you don’t mind purchasing an electronic book which you either have to read on your screen or have to print out at extra costs.

Layout: Abba???

Today our neighbors get married. So yesterday night we and some other neighbors decorated the hallway of our appartment building and tried to do it secretley. That was so much fun and a bit like being back in school again – when the light went off we giggled and when someone entered the door we giggled, until the entering person joined us too and giggled with us. It is a wonder that the bride and groom didn’t notice the whole procedure – LOL

And here is a layout from an afternoon which was filled with giggle giggle a go go also – LOL

*ABBA???*

sorry – taken down for publication

Ich wünsche Euch einen wunderbaren Donnerstag!

Wishing you an amazing Thursday!

I created this canvas for my collegue’s 15th office anniversary…I think he liked it – at least he grabbed a hammer and a nail and put it right on his deskwall ;)

——————————————————————————————-

Ok – actually – and this is a little insider joke “lol” I wanted to write a dolphin poem- but I’m not that creative that morning- *snigger*. My friend M. was here from San Francisco – we haven’t seen each other for almost 2 years.  It was awesome and it was as if we had seen each other just recently! Hopefully it won’t take as long again to meet each other.

I’m leaving for today to a Crop at Scrapbook Kings -I can’t wait to see many known faces again and for the first time :-)

Photos: London Part II

Und nun der zweite Teil ;-) .

And here is the second Part ;-)

*St. Pauls Cathedrale from Tate Modern*

There was an awesome exhibition inside Tate Modern – called Street & Studio (an urban history of photography) and outside we went hunting for the Street Art Exhibition on the Street. And as most of you know how much I love Street Art – this was the coolest!

*My absolute favorite photo of this journey – how awesome is this message?*

*:-)*

And then we took a taxi cab and went to Jamie Oliver’s Restaurant Fifteen in London to celebrate our Anniversary a bit early (Anniversary is on the 22nd). We had a great wine tasting and a 5 course menue.

*Exciting hungry Nat in taxi cab*

*love this wall in the restaurant*

*Dang – they knew – LOL*

*romantic walk back to the hotel ;) *

*Last Day- glad they told me where to see the old buildings *snigger*

*Meeting Hubby at Lunchbreak (he works – I shop :-) )*

That was it – after Lunch I had to head out to the airport. It was really good to relax for a couple days :-)
