Review ScrapScene E-Book: Mini Book Projects

This book can be purchased at scrapscene.com and costs 21.95 $ as a downloadable pdf.file. It has 43 pages and you can either read it on your computer or print it out.

The book includes eleven different mini book projects plus an extra chapter about binding techniques and printable patterns and templates.

All of the mini book projects are described with a photo of the project itself and start with a short description as what inspired this special project or where the idea came from. They also include a material list, very detailed step by step instructions including photos and tips and inspirations for other similar projects. Along there are also instructions for extra embellishments that are included in the mini books.

From how to create an altered book art journal to a painted cloth mini book, from a fabric mini book to creating a book made out of scraps. From a photo keeper to polymer super mini book: There are eleven books included that let your creative juices flowing.

I have to admit that I’m not creating a lot of mini books – but this book really made me want to create one right away. I was so inspired by those projects. The painted cloth mini book really touched me and is breathtaking. It is my favourite mini book in this issue and I positively want to create one myself.

Another feature of this book that I really liked is that it explains shortly different binding techniques. This list gives you a brief idea to how you can add some oomph and the binding to your mini album.

I really like this book – the projects are beautiful, inspiring and unique. Definitely a good investment if you love mini books or want to get new ideas and if you don’t mind purchasing an electronic book which you either have to read on your screen or have to print out at extra costs.

Ich habe mich durch die Liedzeile “It’s amazing how you can speak Right to my heart” inspirieren lassen.

Blog Love: It Takes All Kinds and Crop Day

I’m really happy to announce that Francine invited me to be part of this project:It Takes All Kinds – no challenge blog, but a blog there a group of diverse scrappers – diverse in where they come from, their style and ambition – comes together and inspires each other. Right now the team introduces itself and it really starts from September 2008 – so don’t forget to bookmark the blog – it is going to be very inspiring :-)

The crop day at Scrapbook King was amazing! Not only the weather was fantastic – no also our hosts. We scrapped in the garden with wonderful sunshine, barbecued and laughed :-)

Ok – actually – and this is a little insider joke “lol” I wanted to write a dolphin poem- but I’m not that creative that morning- *snigger*. My friend M. was here from San Francisco – we haven’t seen each other for almost 2 years.  It was awesome and it was as if we had seen each other just recently! Hopefully it won’t take as long again to meet each other.

I’m leaving for today to a Crop at Scrapbook Kings -I can’t wait to see many known faces again and for the first time :-)

DT Work: Don’t be Sad – OLW *BE*

Last week I received my Rose Moka Design Team Kit – WOOOWOWWW! A huge package full with the most amazing papers. I couldn’t believe it. The paper isn’t only wonderful it is also amazing in quality. It is pretty thick and has a nice feel to it and is printed on both sites. I also love the Alphas a lot.

So hier ist eines der ersten Layouts mit meinen Rose Moka Papieren für den ebenfalls grandiosen Challenge Blog “One Little Word” – Diese Woche das Wort “BE”

So here is one of my first layouts with my new Rose Moka papers for the also amazing Challenge Blog “One Little Word” – this weeks word is “be”
