Ansonsten ist der Frühling eingetroffen -ich freue mich riesig und Christiane kommt vor ihrem Abflug zu den Workshops in Bad Aibling noch für ein paar Stunden zu Besuch – yeahhh!

Other than that spring is here- yippeah – and Christiane will visit me a couple hours today before she takes the plane to her workshops in Bad Aibling – yeaahhh

DT-Work: ScrapMuse April Kit Part II

Hier noch ein paar Layouts mit dem Scrapmuse Kit – ich habe von Simone eine Menge Fotos bekommen und es hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht ihre Kleinen zu verscrappen.

Here are some more layouts with the Scrapmuse Kit – I got a lot of photos from Simone and it was so much fun to scrap her kids!

I repeated the paper pattern with some crayons:

I used some alcohol inks on this glass piece and stamped on top with Staz On

Oh and I got this really cute award by Janine aka Aline and Vivian.

This award is generally given to bloggers based on their creativity, design, interesting material, and contribution to the blogging community, no matter what language. Very cool.
There are some rules that go with it..
1 – You have to pick 5 blogs who deserve this award for their creativity, design, interesting material and also contributes to the blogging community no matter what language.

DT-Work: ScrapMuse April Kit Part I

Hier sind sie – meine Designteamarbeiten für das Scrapmuse April Kit. Während das Papier mich sehr in Frühlingsstimmung versetzte, spielte das Wetter draußen allerdings gar nicht mit – LOL

Here they are – my designteam layouts/cards for the Scrapmuse April Kit. While the paper totally made me feel like Spring – the weather outside played a totally autumn game – LOL

Journaling reads: This strawberry looks pretty weird! I have no clue if you really thought this at the very moment – but boy I’m cracking up seeing you looking at this poor radish ?

Technique: I used a Typewriter font – printed it the text out on paper and cut the single letters out

Blog Love: The Best Vlaamse Frites -OLW-

Yup – Pommes ;-) Das fiel mir so ein zum auserwählten Wort bei OLW “BEST”- nämlich die besten Pommes von Amsterdam – LOL

Yup – French Fries ;-) That is what instantly came to my mind for the word on OLW “BEST” – the best french fries in Amsterdam – LOL

*The Best Vlaamse Frites*

Journaling reads: Every time in Amsterdam we eat French fries with Mayonnaise garlic sauce -so yummie. This time we had to check out the So called “Best Vlaamse Frites in Town” Oh and they were!

I painted the grungeboard heart with acylic paints and added crackle accents on top.

Supplies: Scenic Route Papers, Cherry Arte Chipboard, Junkitz Chipboard, Heidi Swapp Chipboard Letters, Elsie Love Graffity Paper, Hambly Screen Prints Overlay, Heidi Swapp Ledger Journaling Spot, Tim Holtz Grungeboard, Acylic Paints, Ranger’s Crackle Accents

Blog Love: Attn: Team Player Scrapmojo

Die neue -Herausforderung geht dahin einen Email/Büro-Betreff in den Titel einzuarbeiten und ein Büromaterial zu benutzen. Nun denn ;-) Oh und übrigens- The Office- also die amerikanische Version ist grandios – ich liebe sie! Ob wohl Pam und Jim jemals zusammen kommen? LOL

The new Scrapmojo Challenge is about using an email/office-subject line in your titlework and also using an office supply. Well – alrighty ;-) Oh and by the way – I love THE Office (the American version – I don’t get the BBC Version neither the German one – LOL) I wonder if Pam and Jim are hooking up some day ;-) LOL

Here is my take on the Scrapmojo challenge.

Journaling reads: we are good team player. Wheter while living together, traveling, being apart or else. That rocks.

ScrapbookKing meets Tim Holtz -and more ;-)

Wow- das war ein zugepacktes Wochenende- aber auch gutes. Freitag war ich beim ScrapbookKing meets Tim Holtz Workshop mit Liz – es war super! Jan hat uns die Techniken weitergegeben, die er beim Workshop in Holland gelernt hat und ich sage Euch es lohnt sich. Er wird sicher den Workshop noch einmal geben und Ihr solltet Euch in jedem Fall anmelden ;-)

Wow that was a packed weekend- but a good one. Friday I have been to the ScrapbookKing meets Tim Holtz Workshop with Liz – it was awesome! Jan taught us the techniques he learned in the Netherlands and I tell you it was so worth it. I’m sure he will be teaching this workshop again and I highly reccommend to go there ;-)

Nach dem Workshop habe ich natürlich noch ordentlich bei den ScrapbookKings geshoppt- es gibt dort alles was das Herz begehrt- vor allem die neuen Tim Holtz/Ranger Produkte! Und das führt dann schon zu dem zweiten Teil dieses Posts – nachdem ich feststellte, dass ich meine Sachen nicht mehr richtig unterbringen kann, stand ein Trip zu Ikea auf dem Plan und das ist das Ergebnis- neue Regale und Magnet-Leisten.

After the workshop I shopped a lot at ScrapbookKing. They have so much that makes one happy :-) – esp. the new Tim Holtz/Ranger Products! And this leads to the next topic. After I unpacked all my stuff I realized that I have no functional organisation anymore- cause I have no place to store my stuff. So…we decided to go to Ikea and this is the result- new shelves and magnetic bars.

Immer noch ein wenig chaotisch – aber das passt ja zu mir und es sieht schon viel besser aus – LOL

Still a bit chaotic – but well – this suits me well and I swear …it looks way better than before- LOL

Wonderful wonderful tags! I like your shelves and magnetic strips. That is very interesting. It must be very strong to hold up as your scrap/artist items. I’ll have to look into that here in the US and see what I can find.

Die Tags sind der Hammer, wie schade, daß Hamburg soweit weg ist, da wäre ich echt gerne bei gewesen, hmpf.

Canvas: City Blues and….I’m a Covergirl :-)

Wow – im Moment überschlagen sich die Ereignisse ein wenig. Ich bin ganz benebelt- lol. Erst bekam ich eine Mail von Somerset Memories (in Deutschland übrigens auch bei CreaVil zu erhalten), dass ein weiterer Artikel von mir in der August/September Ausgabe abgedruckt wird und dann bekam ich eine unglaubliche Mail mit dem Betreff: Surprise – wo drin stand, dass Somerset Memories eines meiner Layouts für das Juni/Juli Cover nimmt. Ich durfte es sogar schon sehen – woooowww- wahnsinn – ich freue mich so :-)

Wow – things are so exciting right now – I’m so stoked. First I got an email by Somerset Memories that they are printing another article of mine in their August/September issue and then I got another email with the subject line: Surprise – and this told me that Somerset Mempories chose one of my layouts for the June/Juli Cover. I had the chance to see it already – wooooowwww- that is incredible- I’m so happy :-)

Das witzige ist, dass ich keine Ahnung hatte, was ich mit dem Canvas mache, dann sah ich eines meiner dunklen Pigmente rumstehen und habe eine Mischung gemacht und den Hintergrund gemalt. Dann einfach Malerkrepp drauf, angemalt und dann plötzlich hatte ich die Idee – hat echt Spaß gemacht.

The funny thing is that I had no clue what I would do with the canvas until my eyes felt on a dark pigment. I mixed it and painted the background. And then I added masking tape, painted that and then -zooom- I had the idea -this was so fun.

Scrapmuse: April -Flying Kites Kit
