Das große Finale bei Scrapjacked – hier ist mein Layout zu Missy. Hat echt Spaß gemacht, obwohl dies eher gar noch so mein Stil ist – also normalerweise – meine ich – LOL.

This is the grand finale at Scrapjacked – and here is my take on Missy’s Layout. It was really fun although it is not exactly my style – I mean usually – LOL.

Stärke – das Thema dieser Woche bei Emily -das find ich gut ;-)

Strength is the theme of this week’s challenge at Emily’s – this I like ;-)

Die Schnippsel habe ich großzügig mit Kleber festgeklebt und auf die Nahtstellen Embossingpowder gestreut und erhitzt – das Ergebnis…na ja…netter Versuch- LOL

I attached those scraps with lot’s of adhesive and added embossing powder on the additional glue and heated it up -the result…well…nice try – LOL

and…nice typo, guess that is not my strength today- oh boy – LOL (auch noch falschgeschrieben- na super Rechtschreibung ist also heute keine Stärke – LOL)

Zeit für eine neue Technik bei Studio DaphNat – diesmal aus dem Buch von Bernie Berlin “Artist Trading Card Workshop” – grandioses Buch.

Time for a new technique at Studio DaphNat – this time taken from Bernie Berlin‘s book “Artist Trading Card Workshop” – an awesome book.

Man braucht Acrylfarben, Cardstock, Embossing Pulver, Stempel, einen Heißluftfön, Pinsel und ein Bügeleisen, VersaMark Watermark Stempelkissen.

You will need acrylic paints, cardstock, embossing powder, stamps, a heat gun,brushes and an iron, Versamark Watermark Stamp Pad.

Bemale Cardstock mit Acrylfarbe und lasse sie trocknen.

Paint cardstock with acrylicpaint and let it dry.

Dann nimm einen Stempel und mit dem Watermark Stamp Pad bestempele den Cardstock. Streue Embossing Puder darüber, entferne das überschüssige Embossing Puder wieder und erhitze das ganze mit dem Heißluftfön.
Take a stamp and the Versa Mark Stamp pad and stamp on the cardstock. Sprinkle embossing powerd on top, get rid of the extra non sticking powder and heat it up with a heatgun.

Bestreiche das ganze erneut mti einer anderen Acrylfarbe und lasse diese vollständig trocknen.

Add another layer of acrylic paint and let it dry.

Nimm ein Stück Cardstock und lege es auf Dein bearbeitetes Stück Cardstock und gehe mit einem heißen Bügeleisen darüber. Man muß hier recht fest drücken. Während das ganze noch warm ist, das Papier langsam runterziehen.

Take a piece of cardstock and put it on top of your painted piece of cardstock. Iron this giving some pressure. While everything is still warm remove the paper slowly.

Eine schnelle, einfach und wie ich finde sehr effektive Technik! Leider hatte ich diesmal nicht so viel Zeit zum experimentieren – aber das kommt vielleicht noch. Schaut mal was Daphne mit der Technik so gezaubert hat.

A quick, easy and really effective technique. Unfortunatley I hadn’t had time for more experiments – but I will try to do this later. Take a look at what Daphne did with this technique.

Gestern war ein richtig netter Tag – halt so ein schöner Herbsttag – LOL – sagt sie, mit Pullover an und während es schon wieder regnet wie aus Eimern. Meine Freundinnen Sandra und Jen waren hier- beides eigentlich “Nichtscrapper” und wir hatten eine Mission – ein Geschenk zu machen – besser einen Canvas. Wir hatten eine Menge Spaß und haben nebenbei noch schön ein Hühnchen zubereitet, Kuchen gegessen, eimerweise Kaffee getrunken, alle Papiere durchforstet, Layouts gesichtet und gequatscht wie die Großen – LOL. Schreit nach Wiederholung.

Yesterday was a really wonderful day – a real autumn day – she says while sitting at the desk in a sweater and while it is pouring cats and dogs outside. My friends Sandra and Jen were here – both are non-scrappers – and we had a mission – to create a gift – better a canvas. We had a lot of fun and managed to cook chicken in between, eat cake, drinking gallons of coffee, look through my paperstash and all the layouts and chit chatting like mad – LOL. Woman are really good in multitasking – don’tcha think? We gotta do it again very soon.

Auf Scrapmuse habe ich heute eine neue Photochallenge begonnen – 12 Wochen lang geht es um den Ort an dem wir leben und lieben. HeuteÂÂ habe ich die Aufgabe gestellt ein Foto von etwas zu machen, das man an seiner Straße besonders liebt. Vielleicht habt Ihr Lust mitzumachen, linkt gern Euer Foto. Mein Foto zeigt unsere Straße – während miesester Wetterverhältnisse. Ich liebe besonders, daß unsere Straße so schön grün ist – die Bäume – und das obwohl wir in so einer großen Stadt wohnen.

At Scrapmuse I started a 12 week long photochallenge – about the place we live and love. The challenge this week is to take a photo of something in your street which you really love. You can play along if you want – either on Scrapmuse- with the chance to win something or her by linking the photos. My photo shows our street – while it was really terrible weather. I totally love that our street is so green- all those trees – and that besides the fact we are living in such a big city.

Maddy von Scrapmuse wird unser Designteam ab September verlassen, um zu neuen Abenteuern aufzubrechen. Wir werden sie sehr vermissen – sie ist eine großartige Frau!!!!

Maddy, thank you so much for being on this Designteam! You have been here ever since I joined the board in August 2004 and you have had a huge influence on me with your encouraging words and awesome challenges. You are one of the main reasons why I loved it here and really got into scrapbooking. Thank you for this! I’m “pressing” my thumbs for your future adventures .- though I’m sure you will have a great success! We will miss you in the Design Team and hope you will stay around!

Guten Morgen!!!! Ahhhh – ich habe nach langer Zeit einen freien Tag und bin total gut drauf – yep! :-) Hier meine Karten für die letzte und für diese Woche bei der Deck of Me Challenge. Bei Nummer 33 ging es darum in genau 10 Minuten die Karte herzustellen – ich habe alles benutzt, was auf meinem unglaublich unordentlichen Schreibtisch zu finden war. Nummer 34 hatte Lustiges zum Thema – nun ich bin ein Mensch der sehr gerne und viel lacht und ich lache auch besonders viel über mich selbst- weil ich so töffelig bin ;-)

Goooood Morning!!!! Ahhh – I have a free day – the first one for a long time and I’m absolutley in a good mood – yep! :-) Here are my cards for the last and this week for the Deck of Me Challenge. Number 33 was about creating a card in exactly ten minutes – I used everything I found on my totally dirty desk. Number 34 was about Funny-hahaha – well I’m a person that loves to laugh and laughs a lot – mostly about myself – as I’m such a klutz ;-)

Altered Canvas

Ich wurde gestern fein ausgeführt und wir hatten einen besonderen schönen Abend im Weißen Haus :-) mit einem köstlichen Überraschungsmenue!
