Inspirational Video

And Macheath, he has a knife, But the knife one doesn’t see.

Thoughts that go through my mind right now …reflected perfectly by this song :)

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRyDB4RWJdw]

originally from Die Dreigroschenoper – Bertolt Brecht & Kurt Weil, 1928 .

I think this is a perfect prompt for my art journal page today ;) Which leads me to this question:

Which song reflects your thoughts right now?

Have a gorgeous day

Nat

Why Street Art is amazing!

I loved what faith47 a street artist had to say about her art and I love what she does

    What a talented individual – her work is awesome. Creating something that only “lives” for a short period of time doesn’t bother me as much as I thought it would after watching this video. In Faith47’s case, she shared her talent and touched a lot more people with her temporary painting than if she had created that project for just one person. Its the circle of life.

    I have found that the most frequent ‘constant’ we can find in our life is change, so why not create in that mood? I love the quote “Life is permanently temporary”. ♥

    How incredible to watch something that detailed on such a large scale come to life! I think my masterpieces are too few and far between for me to be okay with them being short-lived. I feel like my best works are happy accidents that I could never recreate even if I tried. That said, having a photo or digital image of something I made would suffice for me if the original got ruined or painted over. Faith47 is lovely, and her art incredible! Thank you for sharing her with us!

    It would be awesome to run across an artist working on street art around here. Not likely in my town with no buildings that are waiting to be torn down. Maybe on some trees or horses (would that still be street art or nature art?).
    I like her attitude that life is fragile and you can’t hold on to anything.
    Makes me kinda sad if I have to let go of my art, but then again once it’s made it means that the emotions are now “out of me” and I can move onto something else.

    Thank you for sharing that video! I love marbled papers, and I even have a couple of the flower marbles like he does in the video. Not much beauty yet in my day, except in the ring my mom made me at CREATE. But I plan to go outside at lunchtime and find as much beauty as I can :)

The message of this short film is so true – and that is why I love working with other artist friends :)

Which artists (music, painting, mixed media, film making, scrapbooking – whatever genre and cross over) would you like to see working together on a project ?
