Layout: Follow Your Path *Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L*

I love heritage photos and this one of my husband with his two siblings is really special for me. I love how they all walk on the tracks and that my sweet mother in law had a good eye in taking this one.

FollowYourPath_3L_01

I love using my MyStik™ permanent dispenser as it lets you adhere circles in such an easy way fanning out the little adhesive pieces.

And then on top it also is amazing cause you can just use single tiny pieces of the strips to adhere for example those flower stems to your paper.

FollowYourPath_3L_02

I also love using the 3D Foam Squares to add some dimension with the title and some of the flower petals.

Supplies:

SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES BY 3L™: 3D Foam Squares, MyStik™ Permanent adhesives

Susan Weckesser: Papers

Sultane: eMOTions Stamps by Nathalie Kalbach

Golden: Acrylic Paint and Gesso

Tattered Angels: Glimmer Glaze

Various: Stamps

Layout: Balancing Act *Tattered Angels*

I did this post for the Tattered Angels Educator Blog.

If you know my work you know I love texture and layers on my projects. Something about haptics on a layout make me happy :)

*Balancing Act*

BalancingAct01

This layout is about how I try to find the balance between all those things that I  or other people are expecting from me. Have time, be positive, be grateful, stay in touch ….etc, etc. – and I try, I really do….

For this layout I used the Tattered Angels Color Kit that goes with the Pink Paislee Paper Collection Daily Junque. I sprayed the background with the included Glimmer Mist Aquamarine and Dark Denim and then used Ranger’s Clear Rock Candy Crackle Paint on top. After it dried and crackled I added some of the Pewter Glimmer Glaze to a foam pad and rubbed it over the surface to achieve a metallic finish and release the crackles even more.

BalancingAct02

I also used the Pewter Glimmer Glaze and Organic Glimmer Glam and blended it together on the Pink Paislee metal embellishment. I also painted the wooden embellishment with Glimmer- I love the effect on wood.

Have fun to play with the different Tattered Angels Media – the possibilities are endless.

Layout: Happiness- Return Requested *Vintage Street Market*

When I saw the Travel Kit with all those beautiful little bits and pieces I instantly knew I wanted to use some of the Australia photos with it.

Als ich das Travel Kit mit all diesen kleinen Vintage Stückchen erhielt, wußte ich, dass ich es mit einigen meiner Australien Photos verwenden wollte.

Happiness_VSM_01

I love the layered look and dimension the Aged Tinted Tape adds to the paper and I also added some Gesso to blend it in with the background. I thought those vintage buttons would look great as flower centers on the Epiphany Crafts Frayed Felt Flowers.

That little koala was my favorite in the zoo – we watched it forever and it was a really fun and happy day – Return Requested :)

Der Käse aka…untraditonal wedding page *Tattered Angels*

The theme for the main Tattered Angels website this month is wedding. and therefore I would like to show you a wedding layout which is a bit different :) I have done a couple wedding layouts the last couple months – romantic and quite traditional but I also wanted to do something non-traditional.

Der Käse ist alt und vergammelt – aka – The Cheese is old and moldy

HUH? You might think I’m crazy :) Well I am- but actually this has a little background story. We had a cheese platter as an entry at our outside wedding in the United States and our friend Bill came up to me with a piece holding it right into my face and said the only German sentence he knows “Der Käse ist alt und vergammelt” – which means…The Cheese is Old and Moldy. As you can see in the picture I laughed a lot about this :) Why he is able to say this sentence belongs to a different layout ;)

I used first Hayride Glimmer Glam on the Basic Grey Ledger paper and then sprayed over with Rum Punch Glimmer Mist. For the Hambly Screen Prints Transparency I used Firefly Chalkboard Glimmer Mist. I attached the transparency and then stamped the edges. The flowers are sprayed with the same colors.

I used the Tim Holtz Tissue Paper Traveler and create a banner with it – painted parts of the banner pieces with Mellow Yellow Glimmer Glaze and then sprayed with Glimmer Mist Patina.

Have a gorgeous day :)

Vintage Street Market – so much fun!

One of my visits at the Winter CHA has been to the Vintage Street Market booth – I had discovered them a couple months ago in the www and subsribed to their amazing blog not even realising for a long time that the two owners are the wonderful Allison and Michelle – who I know for a bit :)

Their booth was really amazing – a real eyecatcher –  and I love the concept of their Products.  Not only Vintage themed, no you can use their products for Scrapbooking AND Giftwrapping AND Homedecor. Seriously fun!!!

CHA_25

I have been so lucky that they gave me a pack of their Dimestore Vogue Kit and I had a blast playing a bit with it.

The kit will come with

-Two 24″x36″ decorative printed paper sheets

-One 24″x36″ aqua foil sheet

-One 24″x36″ brown crepe sheet

-One 12″x12″ sheet of coloful Tags & Things-decorative die cut embellishments

and I have to admit at first I was a bit stunned at how to work with a 24″x36″ piece of paper – well…no problem. You can easly cut the piece with your paper cutters in individuell 12″x12″ pieces- but the beauty is that you can also use the bigger pieces to wrap up presents or work on bigger projects. I have always been trying to use my scrapbooking papers for gift wrapping- but they were either to sturdy and/or to small for most gifts. So this rocks.

*Chic*
Chic_01

I also love the huge foil and crepe paper sheet coming with the kit – I see a lot of other fun things created with them.

Detail:
Chic_02

I also love that the package itself is really cute and the whole thing about Vintage Street Market is also sharing Memories and fun facts about Vintage related things.

*Present*

Present

I created the flower with the Aqua Foil.

*Celebrate Card*

CelebrateCard_01
For this card I used the die cut girl and tag from the Die Cut Sheet. The Background was created with the a fun technique using Letraset Promarkers, Ranger’s Blending Solution and the beautiful stamp by La Blanche on the also really cool LaBlanche Keramikpaper.
CelebrateCard_02

And the best…there is still so much left from the kit- that I can play even more ! Love it- check them out!

I’m off to head to our  ScrapJause Mixed Media Workshop Event  – see you soon :)

Huge hugs

Never forget *Tattered Angels*

Oh – I totally forgot about this layout I created with the new Prima MIST-ab-les for the CHA Tattered Angels Booth. They are 12×12 inch printed Canvas Sheets.  I love the Mist-ab-les – so much fun to work with.

The photo is a bit poor in quality- since taken late night before going to CHA

MistablePrimaGM_01

The butterlies are from another sheet of those MIST-ab-les.

I love how yo can cut them out and use them for different projects. All Glimer Mist Colors used are the Coordinating Prima Colors.
