Tattered Angels – Guest Designer

I was so thrilled when I was asked by Tattered Angels, one of my favorite Manufacturers, if I would like to be the Guest Designer for August. LO: Inspire

This weekend I played a lot with all kinds of stuff and stencils. I’m not really satisfied with the outcome- but I’m working on it :)

Detail:

I love the outcome of my umbrella man – the rest didn’t get the sharp crisp edges that would make it really cool.

I really love the song we do have this week at Scrapping The Music and as it is a song my husband loves too – it was pretty obvious what to do – LOL. The Romantics with “What I Like About You”.

    Hi,

Just wanted to let you know I love this page. The colors and details are wonderful. Fabulous work!!! I was reading your comments on the CC DT call. Lucy called the other day to tell me who got the team. I often wish I were on a design team, but feel some what like you. My work is not main stream and I am not going to change because then it becomes work and a struggle for me. I hope eventually a company needs my talent. For now Somerset continues to pick up my work for their different publications.

CJ-Entry: I can fly

It took me a while to do the entry for Kerstin‘s Circle Journal – simply because this book is sooo amazing!!!! The theme of her book is to yarn a story/promise the moon – well…make up something. So…but finally I came up with something and I hope she likes it :)

*Ich kann fliegen/I can fly”

Journaling translated: When I was in elementary school I was able to fly! Really! Everytime I went out with our dog and reached the bridge I jumped into the air and did some swimming moves and …I flew a couple meters! One day I made the mistake to tell my friends on the school yard about my ability. They all laughed and asked me to fly right now. I started to doubt myself and of course it didn’t work anymore. Several months ago I met a woman. She looked at me and said ” I was able to fly when I was a kid”. I replied “Me too”. And we  nodded knowingly at each other! I know if I do stop to doubt myself I will be able to fly again!

Supplies: Claudine Hellmuth’s Sticky Canvas, Acrylic Paints, Ranger’s Colorwash, Oil Pastels, Staz On, Tim Holtz Script Stamp, Newspaper Stamp, Neocolors II, Wooden Letter Stamps, Tim Holtz Grungeboard, Glimmer Mist, Tim Holtz Stencil Letters

Take a flight today :)

Super! Maybe you won’t believe me but I was able to fly as well but I ended up with a really big bump on my forehead while trying to fly from the stairs with my head right on to our front foor. That was the end of flying for me

LO: Du hast den Farbfilm vergessen…*STMG*

So honored that I was asked to be guest designer on the Scrapping the Music Germany blog. And the song is Nina Hagen’s “Du hast den Farbfilm vergessen” (You forgot the technicolor) A really cool song from the 70s. I chose a photo of Anja who does an awesome job on sewing victorian dresses.
