One little Word diese Woche: Create. Der Hintergrund ist aus einer Unterlage geschnitten, die ich während verschiedener Techniken zum Schutz meiner Arbeitsplatte verwendet hatte. Die Textur ist interessant und das ganze habe ich mit einer Lasur übermalt, damit alles miteinander verbunden wird.

One little Word this week: Create. The background is a piece from a piece of paper I used as a protection for my desk during several techniques. I like the interesting texture and I painted the piece with glaze so everything comes together.

Bei One little Word gibt es ein neues Wort – Schritte – dazu ist mir spontan was eingefallen. Außerdem hat es wieder mal Spaß, gemacht mit Farbe rumzuspielen.

There is a new word up on One Little Word – Steps – I had an idea right away. And it was fun to play with paint again.

Schwups – schon ist Weihnachten wieder vorbei – aber es war schön! Wir hatten eine schöe und besinnliche Zeit mit vielen lieben Freunden und kleinen Rabauken (LOL – so tapetenabreissende Knirpse sind schon ein Weihnachtshighlight – wird in jedem Fall für die nächsten Jahre die Weihnachtsstory bleiben)

Swwooosh – and Christmas is over – but it was so wonderful! We had a wonderful and relaxed time with a lot of friends and little rascals (LOL – little boys ripping of wallpapers will be a christmas story for the next years – although my poor friend S. won’t laugh about it right now!)

Hier mein Layout zur Photochallenge The Place I live #9 – Kunst. Es gibt diese Flyer ja überall in Hamburg, sie hÃängen an der Wand, in Hofeinfahrten, an Zäunen, an Bauwagen. Raketen, Affen, Roboter – total cool – ich wei߸ nicht wo sie herkommen – aber ich finde sie cool. Es macht Spa߸ die Augen aufzuhalten, um sie zu entdecken. Auf dem Layout ist tatsÃächlich ein Foto von einem Flyer – ich habe es ein wenig bearbeitet und auf Chipboard gepackt.

This is my layout for the photochallenge “The Place I live #9 – ART. There are those flyers everywhere in Hamburg, they are glued to walls, in hallways, on fences, contractor’s sheds. Rockets, Apes, Robots – totally cool – I have no clue where they come from – but I love them. It is so much fun to keep the eyes open for them. On the layout there is actually a photo from the flyer – I distressed it a bit and matted it on Chipboard.

Journaling: Welcome-Signs – When I’m coming home from work and I’m there at the bridge and see the graffitis and the sign I know I’m close to home. I love this.

Hatte ich schon erwähnt, dass dies meine Lieblingstechnik ist zur Zeit- LOL. Und hier ist nun mein Layout mit dieser Technik – in Echt wirkt der Hintergrund noch viel cooler- wirklich!

Have I told you that this is my favorite technique at the moment- LOL. And this is my layout with this technique – in real live this is way cooler with the background – really!

Journaling: Besides shopping at the farmers market and at our turkish supermarket we get an organic box each week. It is filled with what is in season, bread and eggs. And the best: It gets delivered in the 6th floor…no elevator :-)

Journaling says : Those two guys grew up together 40 years ago in the same town, went to the same Highschool and University. One lives in Vermont and one in Germany now – and they are still close friends. That’s amazing. Vermont, USA 5/2007

Used bubble wrap painted with acrylic paints as a matting for the photos to repeat the pattern on the wonderful papers.

Journaling says: When I saw this picture in a pile I knew instantly it shows my Mom. Those eyes are so familiar – I know you – I love you!

I sealed the cardstock with gel medium and added some texture with a paper tissue. Afterwards I used different alcohol inks on the smooth and structured surface. I also added alcohol ink to the Dream Street Papers Letter Stickers, and raised the cirlces and the star with Diamond Glaze.

*Magazine Holders*

I bought plain white magazine holders for 1.99 EUR at IKEA, painted the surfaces, peeled some of the paper off to release the corrugated cardboard underneath, attached the paper, stamped it with some swirls and Distress Ink and made some chipboard lables.

Nun wisst Ihr, was ich die ganze Zeit so getrieben habe :-)

So now you know what I did all the time :-)
