I just bought Taking Flight, too. I am not an artist. But I do advanced techniques in scrapbooking. This book is wonderful to read, and I didn’t even realize that until I got it home. It’s stuffed with “feel good” messages and has given me the confidence to try painting!
Simply wonderful.

I have this book ordered, I’m just waiting for it to come. I have also ordered Mixed-Media Self Portraits by Cate Coulacos Prato.
I can also recommend Collage Unleashed by Traci Bautista. It’s got some fantastic techniques in it.
