*Show me your Hands!*

    LG,

Layout: These Hands

I love this photo of my beloved Aunt Margot’s hands. I also used a handwritten letter of her and included it as part of the layout. And isn’t it awesome how you can create a nice background with just white Cardstock and some Tattered Angels Products :)

*These Hands*

Journaling: These hands write beautiful letters, touching my cheeks and “talk”! I love these hands – they are yours! Aunt Margot July 2009

Supplies: Prism Cardstock, Tattered Angels Stencil, TA Glimmer Mist and Glimmer Glam. Rainbow Ink pad, TA Swirl Stamp, White Crepe Paper, Doily, Crepe paper by TA and Heidi Swapp Chipboard Letters, TA Chipboard Heart, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3 L, Faber Castell Foil Pen

I sprayed over a heart stencil with Glimmer Mist and then applied Glimmer Glam.  I did the same with the chipboard Heart and the piece of handwritten card. I also sprayed the doily and the TA Crepepaper. I cut a piece of white crepe paper and sprayed it with Glimmer Mist and then applied it behind in ruffles behind the chipboard heart. Stamped randomly with the Rainbow Ink and a Swirl stamp.

Huge hugs :)

Here is what she wrote:

“It’s a piece of stampbord that I inked with distress inks. Then I stamped one of your stamps and scratched some of the accents. I then painted the stars edges with cosmic shimmer and gave the whole piece a coat of clear and brightz UTEE.

Das Stempelset, das sie benutzt hat – the stampset she used Rêves

Something different…simple..well- LOL – for me and on 12 x 12 :)

*Fun in the Park*

next to the pictures it says- fake rock climbing, fake rock touching, fake ACME Rock, fake album cover

I also used the NationalPark Magazine-I loved the drawing and I thought it is pretty alone with not much other stuff.
Stamped with bubblewrap to tie the elements together, so it is not floating.

Supplies: Sultane Kraft Cardstock, National Park Magazine, Eco Green Crafts Acrylic Paint, K&Co – handmade adhesive borders,SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVE by 3L™, Heidi Swapp Chipbaord Letters

Layout: I create therefore I am

Just for fun – using up some snippets , trying things :)

*I Create Therefore I am*

Journaling: I never thought of myself as a creative person. I liked art in school and had ok results but never felt this was a path for me. I chose the “non-creative” way for my life. Only in the last couple years I allowed myself to be more creative, embrace it – use it as an outlet and I have become a so much better person. It calms me down and makes me happy to be in my studio and let my hands do what they want. I’m lucky to find this out – I create – therefore I am :)

Supplies: Scraps of papers for example: KI-Company, Prima, Rose Moka, Graphic 45, Basic Grey, Autumn Leaves, Old postcard, pieces of doilies, Glimmer Mist, Golden Medium, Fabric, vintage lace, Tattered Angels Stencils, Rose Moka Stickers, Prima Centers, Quote-tag for books, Hambly transparent Stickerstripes

Techniques: I applied little – hand ripped pieces of scraps with a palette knife and golden medium to  a piece of cardstock. I used a stencil and sprayed over it with  Glimmer Mist to tie everything together. For the same purpose I sewed some crazy pattern over. I then glued down some of the strips vertically and  horizontal. I misted the Quote Tag – which I have from a book store and applied my journaling. I rolled fabric and old lace to a flower on some old music sheet paper and then misted this too.

Have a creative day :)

*Family Fun by Catherine Matthews-Scanlon*

I love the stitching and how she let the paper show through the paper punched stripe! And the map – sooo cool!

*Brimfield Antique Market by Catherine Matthews-Scanlon*

This mixture of photos in black and white and color is so cool and I love how she cut my paper with the lace pattern and added those amazing elements on top!
