The Art Files – a Circle Journal

This is a premiere for me – a circle journal. I’m so looking forward to this round that was initiated by Danyeela! Honestly in the beginning I had a hard time to find a topic for the album and then I realized what I really want – I want to know something about the people who play along – regarding their hobby :-) So Anja, Daniela, Grid, Kerstin, Maja, Mirija, Nadine und Nina– here you go:)

And so The Art Files were born…free associated after the X-Files- LOL. So we are all little agents and we have to create files of us!

how it works:

And my file:

And now it starts to travel around and will be back hopefully in December :-)

DT Work: Pictures of You *STM 68*

Diese Woche bei Scrapping The Music der Song “Pictures of You” von The Last Goodnight” .

This week’s song at Scrapping The Music is “Pictures of You” by The Last Goodnight. I used photos of my family taken in 1962. Apparently they used to take photos every year in Alfred Krabbe’s garden – women and men sepparated. Alfred is somehow in each of the pictures – I think that is kinda cute :-)

*Pictures of You*

Supplies: Rose Moka Papers and Stickers, American Craft Thickers, Kraft Rhinestones, Acrylic Paint.

Vergesst nicht mitzumachen:)

Don’t forget to play along :)

Fearless – or…I’m so excited- LOL

I’m so so excited – in March – better from March 17th on I will be in New York City and teach workshops – yes…several! At Portraitbug! The flight is booked and the planning is running full force and I’m soooo looking forward to it! As soon as we have the exact dates for which workshop I will give you an update :-)

And this is supposed to be my word …hahahaa- so not true ….LOL

Your Word is “Fearless”

You see life as your one chance to experience everything, and you just go for it!
You believe the biggest risk is being afraid and missing out on something amazing.Sometimes your fearlessness means you’re daring. You enjoy risky activities.

And sometimes your fearlessness means you’re courageous. You’re brave enough to do the right thing, even when it’s scary.

LO: Note for when Life sucks

I totally forgot about this layout. But I was reminded when I thought about how much I …say…dislike January. I know know – January – is young and fresh – so what did this month do to me? Nothing…I just dislike January ;)

*Note…*

Supplies: 7 Gypsies Papers, 7 Gypsies Rub Ons and Stickers Riff Raff Flower,Hambly Screen Prints, Chipboard letters (all different), Neocolors II, Rangers Glossy Accents

LO: You’ve got a friend

I didn’t show you this layout so far. It was published in the Somerset Memories issue December/January 2009 and is dedicated to my friend Esther.

*You’ve got a friend*

inspired by James Taylor
Shows my friend Esther and me who moved away on her wedding day- me being the Maid of Honor. I’m missing her a lot and this is for her in troubled times.

Lyrics:
When youre down and troubled
And you need a helping hand
And nothing, whoa nothing is going right.
Close your eyes and think of me
And soon I will be there
To brighten up even your darkest nights.

You just call out my name,
And you know whereever I am
Ill come running, oh yeah baby
To see you again.
Winter, spring, summer, or fall,
All you have to do is call
And Ill be there, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Youve got a friend.

If the sky above you
Should turn dark and full of clouds
And that old north wind should begin to blow
Keep your head together and call my name out loud
And soon I will be knocking upon your door.
You just call out my name and you know where ever I am
Ill come running to see you again.
Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you got to do is call
And Ill be there, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Hey, aint it good to know that youve got a friend?
People can be so cold.
Theyll hurt you and desert you.
Well theyll take your soul if you let them.
Oh yeah, but dont you let them.

You just call out my name and you know wherever I am
Ill come running to see you again.
Oh babe, dont you know that,
Winter spring summer or fall,
Hey now, all youve got to do is call.
Lord, Ill be there, yes I will.
Youve got a friend.
Youve got a friend.
Aint it good to know youve got a friend.
Aint it good to know youve got a friend.
Youve got a friend.
