I created this layout for my sweet friend Daphne who had her little baby girl :) I miss her and hope to see her soon again!

Sometimes there are things in our life that make you think that there is no way out…but this isn’t true – sometimes it is good to sleep over and see if there is a different path that you have missed before.
Manchmal denkt man ja es gäbe keinen Ausweg aus einer Situation …aber das ist nicht wahr – manchmal ist es gut ein wenig Ruhe einkehren zu lassen und dann zu schauen, ob es einen anderen Weg gibt, den man zuvor gar nicht gesehen hat.
So I decided to create a layout in a situation when I felt exactly the way I describe above. I love to use transparencies to add layers :)
Ich habe also ein Layout kreiert in einer Situation, die genau der oben beschriebenen entspricht. Ich liebe es Transparente zu verwenden, um damit noch mehr Ebenen zu kreieren :)

Glimmer Glam: Golden Goddess, Chandelier, Bordeaux
Regal Glimmer Glass
Framed Fonts Butterfly and Traveler
Glimmer Screens: Elegant Emblems and Fanciful Screens

Cardboard
Crafty Secrets Fairy Sheet
7Gypsies Paper Tape
Ranger’s Crackle Paint, Sepia Archival Ink Pad and Glossy Accents
Tim Holtz Tokens
German Borders
Posca Marker
SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES by 3L™
Magnets
half pearls- unknown
Acrylic Paint
vintage music sheets
Cut out a house shape out of Cardboard. Paint with acrylic paint.
add some stripes of paper and/or tissue paper
Place a stencil over the house and start spraying with chalkboard. Set aside to dry
Take a Frame from the Frame Fonts and spray with two different Glimmer Mist Colors
go over the frame with an archival ink pad and paint with clear crackle paint. Set aside to dry.
Paint Houses with Glimmer Glam which is also going to work as a sealer. You can use two different color – one for the roof and one for the bottom of the house.
Now take the Pearl Glimmer Mist and spray over the House – heat it up – don’t burn it with the heating gun and move the liquid around with the heating gun. Once everything is dry, spray it again and repeat. Do several times until you get a mother-of-pearl like look.
Do this until you are satisfied with the look
You can now dress up your houses – doodle with markers around the edges, add scraps and fairies, some nice inspirational sentences and the frames.
Attach strong magnet to the back – and take a walk to the fridge ;)
And there you go – a nice little present or to keep for yourself – an inspirational Fridge magnet.

I am so in awe of Anna’s work and I am so glad that you pointed her to us after your trip to Poland. I visit her blog everyday and what she did with your papers is stunning!!!

Don’t be silly – you have achieved something that most of those negative naggers can only dream of: you poured your energy into creating a fab paperline – they pour energy into stupid little words….who is gonna last longer? Your papers of course!

I must say that posting those layouts with my eMOTions papers created by others make me happy to no end. Can you imagine what a ride this is for me? LOL – I mean when I was asked last year to create my own paperline I was scared to death. Really! I mean hello – me??? Yes I love to create but I know the diversity my work sometimes create – LOVE or HATE – and I did not feel even worthy to take up such a task!
Ich muß schon sagen, dass es mich total glücklich macht, diese Layouts mit meinen eMOTions Papieren von Anderen zu posten. Könnt Ihr auch vorstellen was für eine Achterbahnfahrt so etwas ist? LOL – mal ehrlich, als man mich letztes Jahr fragte, ob ich meine eigene Papierkollektion kreieren wollte, habe ich mir fast in die Hose for Angst gepieschert. Echt! Ich mein – Hallo? – Ich??? Ja, ich liebe es etwas zu kreieren, aber ich weiß auch, dass meine Arbeiten manchmal sehr umstritten sind – GEHASST oder GELIEBT – und ich fand mich eigentlich nicht gut genug um so etwas zu machen!
Then comes the bold part- the one that tells you “I can do it- I will do it – It will work” and I started creating, learning how to create papers for prints and it was a hard process which many people that I cherish! – helped me along the way. And again when I finally sent my papers I feared rejection. Now they would finally see that I was not worth it and tell me “sorry but this is not gonna work” – but they didn’t!
Und dann kam das Wagnis – unterlegt mit “Ich kann das- ich will das – das wird schon klappen” und ich began die Papiere zu kreieren, lernte wie man das überhaupt macht und es war ein sehr schwieriger Prozess, bei dem mir sehr viele wundervolle und mir nahe stehende Menschen! halfen. Und dann…als ich meine Papiere dann einschickte, habe ich mir wieder in die Hose gespieschert und gefürchtet, dass es jetzt kommen würde – Nun würden sie endlich sehen, dass ich es nicht wert bin und mir sagen, dass dies nicht funktioniert – aber das passierte nicht!
So you think that I would have been cool like ice coke then? Nope…the Release Day….there you go. You see your paper promoted for the first time- you see your papers in print for the first time and you pee in your pants because now everybody is going to see them. It is a mixture of joy and fear – a hell of a ride – a fun ride. You start to see the first super positive reactions- you start to hear the negative reaction – of course you listen to the negative reactions more and start crying and thinking “See, I knew it – it is not gonna work – my work sucks!”
Man könnte denken, na dann war sie doch cool oder? Nö – dann kam der Tag der Veröffentlichung…da ging es erst richtig los. Du siehst wie Deine Papiere zum ersten Mal promoted werden – Du siehst Deine Papiere zum ersten Mal gedruckt und dann piescherst Du Dir in die Hose, weil jetzt alle sie sehen werden. Es ist eine Mischung aus Freude und Angst – eine Höllenfahrt- und eine geniale Spaßfahrt. Du siehst die ersten super positien Reaktionen – und Du hörst die ersten negativen Reaktionen – natürlich hörst Du erstmal auf die negativen Reaktionen mehr und fängst an zu heulen und denkst “Siehste, wußte ich es doch- klappt nicht – meine Arbeit ist Mist!”
And then I listened to some really good friends…and they told me to stop listening to the negative stuff…you will never please all the world – it is more important to be pleased with yourself. Why not just celebrate what you archived – a dream- something I never thought would happen! Why do we always have to punish ourself -I’m not good enough, I’m not worthy, they don’t like me, they don’t like my work???? Stop the nagging voice!!! I started to see the cool thing about it – that there are people out there that love my creations- and as this creation is a part of me…it is Love for me that I find :) And then the first layouts were sent to me I was filled with such a joy!!! It makes me happy – it makes me feel connected to those people :)
Dann haben mir ein paar wirklich gute Freunde den Kopf gewaschen …und haben mir erzählt, ich solle mal aufhören mir den negativen Schrott reinzuziehen…man kann es nicht allen recht machen (außerdem gibt es ja ne Menge Neidhammel und mißgünstige Ätzer da draußen!) – es ist doch wichtiger, dass man es sich selbst recht gemacht hat. Wieso nicht mal einfach das zelebrieren, was man erreicht hat – einen Traum – etwas, von dem ich niemals glaubte, dass es passieren würde! Wieso müssen wir uns eigentlich immer selbst so zerhackstücken – ich bin nicht gut genug, ich bin es nicht wert, keiner mag mich, keiner mag meine Arbeiten??? Halt den Mund Du Dauermeckerstimme!!! Ich habe also angefangen, das schöne an dieser Kollektion zu sehen – dass es Menschen gibt, die meine Kollektion lieben und da diese Kollektion ein Teil von mir ist…ist das ein Stück Liebe, das ich da einkassiere ;) Als also die ersten Layouts an mich geschickt wurden, wurde ich mit einer Riesenfreude erfüllt!!! Es macht mich glücklich – es verbindet mich mit diesen Menschen :)
So this is why I have to post twice today-it wants to get out – LOL – there you have it ….
Und deswegen poste ich zweimal heute – es muß raus…LOL – da habt Ihrs…

Nat, you already know that, but I’ll repeat again: here, far away from Germany, me and some friends DO love your work! It’s different from others scrappers, with so much more emotions in there (yes, you had a perfect choive for your paper line).
Unfortunatelly, I didn’t have time to make a layout with yous papers yet. But they are here on my desk, waiting for a bit of time to come to a great layout, you’ll see!

Today I want to show you a non photo layout – I called it “Fly” – the journaling says: Since I stopped worrying about my bikini figure I grew wings and have fun!
Heute wollte ich Euch mal ein Layout ohne Photo zeigen – Ich nenne es mal “Flieg” – Journaling: Seit ich aufgehört habe, mich um meine Bikini Figur zu sorgen, habe ich Flügel bekommen und habe einfach Spaß!
I used Baigneuses Nostalgie, Pompons Blanc Transparency and Ombrelle voYAgeuse Transparency
For the background I wiped Distress Ink Pads (Peeled Paint, Mustard Seed and Dried Marigold) onto a Ranger Craft Sheet, spritzed water to it, then used a paint brush and brushed the colors working them each into each other over a white piece of cardstock that was prepared with Tim Holtz Masks. Then I used Walnut Stain and stamped with a Tim Holtz Script Stamp over the Masks. I removed the Masks. Then I spritzed the whole paper with Water so I got a nice blurred effect. After this dried I used Cut’n Dry™ Felt and rubbed on several areas Spiced Marmelade, Aged Mahagony, Antique Linnen and Dusty Concord in to give the background more depth.Over this I added a thin layer with Perfect Perfect Pearls to get a more shiny and unified look. Then I cut the winged lady :) and added it with some foam pad underneath the wing tips – to get some dimension as well as the Transparencies.
