Über-Californication-Jump-Case

After indulging the last days into the sweet nothing or as my Italian heritage side would say: Dolce far niente – I’m back running, crushing my heals into the asphalt, because yesterday I checked my calendar….and EEEEEK it said 3 weeks till my flight to California.

Because…if I haven’t shouted it out yet from all roofs with trembling tonsils ;) (not a nice picture – LOL) – I am teaching in California at the Scrapbook Island in San Jose on January 21 and 22. I am soooo excited and nervous and …all of that you know.

(Did I ever tell you that I’m still nervous before each workshop – yep I am – but maybe that is a good thing, you don’t take everything for granted ;) )

It is going to be fun! If you live near by- come on – and see what you can expect :

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKvoqR3Bp5Q]

I am also working like crazy on all the Creative Jump Start logistics – I tell you- that is so awesome. All those posts and videos by the Jump Starts – AWESOME!!! (have to practice my California lingo ;) )  I watch the videos as they come in and it itches me to start creating right away- no kidding. If you do not know what the crazy German is talking about -check it out:

More infos here

It is one of the biggest collaboration projects I have worked on so far and I’m so happy that my idea months ago was received so well. All of us Jump Starters are pretty excited. The first post will go up on January 2nd after the holiday – so in exactly one week.

Also working full time on my Über*Media Gesso Class – a five week Online Class starting January 15th, 2012. There is so much in this – it is ÜBER full with techniques from easy to intermediate to advanced :) check it out here:

That is like a TV- Jingle show here- hahaha. And last but not least I’m working on my Designer Showcase at CHA – so it is out- I said it….no backing from this one. That is actually maybe the scariest of all the named projects I’m working on right now- LOL. That and the boxes that are piling here for projects for CHA for some booths – so …I better get going! Wish me luck ;)

See you tomorrow and have an awesome day!

I so wish that I was going to be near you for the workshops which look like such fun (especially the RAW mini-album). BTW, I love your large blue ring you’re wearing in the video (nice focal point). Best wishes for 2012 my scrappy friend.

        Hi Karen

It arrived at my place on Christmas Eve, but I wasn’t in.
Then I had to work between the holidays, so I never made it to the post office in time to pick it up. So finally received your ornament on Saturday. (Sorry for not posting sooner)
So pretty! Thank you very much!
I will definitely hang it up next year.
Also lots of thanks for the cute card and the kisses! :)

        Best wishes,
        Katja

New Facebook Page for n*Studio

Finally did it – and created a page for n*Studio. I was really hesitant to do this but it was really hard to keep private and business apart. Some of my friends love my work but they are more interested in my private life ;) and some of my friends are just interested in my business life and not in my private life :)  So I would love you to join my new side – I’m looking forward having you there :)

Wirb ebenfalls für deine Seite

Thank you!!!

Congrats on the new FB page. I was on Julie’s blog where she was talking about her visit with you. (Looked like fun.) I popped over here and saw your blog and remember your face from SIStv. It’s been a while.

Wishing you all the best on your endeavours,

Accomplished – XXL Scarf

Finally…LOL -I finished up my XXL-Scarf. It is 7.20 feet long (2,20 m) – warm and cozy, topped off with some wonderful Prima Flaxence Barley Flowers and I finished it just in time for going to Berlin with Julie Fei Fan Balzer who arrived yesterday :)

I will try to post some pictures of us in Berlin before the Mixed Media Circus starts :)

Have a great day

Hausfrau or ….the 50s

Don’t laugh at me ….this layout was something I was smiling while doing it, tongue in cheak included and photoless.

I totally love  the wonderful images on the Vintage Street Market Family Paper Pack especially for a while now I have a nack for 50s clothing and last CHA you could have seen me wearing a nice 50s Sailor dress (and I have a new style dress for the coming CHA ;) ) . I love 50s furniture too.

But there is one thing that I really don’t wish back….the way how a women’s path was determined  back then. I think we are very fortunate today that the way how women are treated and the possibilties that women have nowadays  have changed so much. Although….a bit of gentlemen attitude by men could definetly come back (DUDE you could help get my suitcase up in the baggage net in the train…and NO you do not have to let the door crash into my face and YES…even though I act as if I do not want you to treat me special because I’m a woman…I love it – keep going- hahahha) – LOL.

Good thing my hubs is a true gentleman – he laughs about my attempts in doing as if I don’t care- so if you read it ….here you go…truth out!

A little Memo- on – yes I like it clean – but no – I’m not a Hausfrau :)

I used my new yum yum Tonic Studios Border Punches with the Papers and also with my all time favorite metallic paper sheet from the Dimestore Vogue Kit.

What do you like from the 50s?

Have a gorgeous day

Although I call myself a domestic goddess I really am not a hausfrau (at least I don’t think so). I do like the 1950’s postcard-type items that have the “traditional” woman on them with a modern day quote. One of my favorites is the woman in bed with a smile on her face and saying “I dreamed my whole house was clean”.
