Some news: Scrap-Tastic Designteam

Ich habe eine Menge Neuigkeiten und platze schon seit ein paar Wochen – doch endlich kann ich eine Neuigkeit erzählen :-) Ab Januar 2009 bin ich im Designteam des Shops Scrap-Tastic und ich freue mich riesig darüber. Das coole daran…wir Designteam -Mitglieder stellen Kits abwechselnd selbst zusammen. Mein Kit wird im März rauskommen. Hier sind ein paar Werke mit dem JanuarKit: Frosted Elegance

I have several news and I’m really having a hard time to keep those for me – but finally I can reveal this one thing :-) From January 2009 on I’m in the Design Team of Scrap-Tastic a Shop that also has monthly kits. And the coolest about it…we design team member put the monthly kits together in rotation. “My” kit will be the March Kit.Here are some of my projects with teh January Kit: Frosted Elegance

Grandios Nat! Dein Text mit der Wunschliste der Katze für den Weihnachtsmann bringt mich zum lachen und könnte genau so für meine Katze gelten. Einfach wunderbar das du im Designteam aufgenommen worden bist. Da bin ich ja gespannt was du für ein Kit zusammenstellst.

Chatty Natty – this December

Wow- der Dezember ist wirklich unglaublich…aber ich finde es eigentlich sehr schön. Einige wunderschöne Ausflüge in die Natur bescherten ein…nun ja- nicht wirlich profihaftes – aber Photo dieser Rehe.

Wow – the december is really unbelievable…but I like it actually. Some wonderful naturtrips this month lead to this…well …really bad…photo of those cute deers.

Unglaublich viele meiner Freunde und auch meiner Familienangehörigen haben diesen Monat Geburtstag – wenn ich darüber nachdenke, ist es sogar der Monat mit den allermeisten Geburtstagen. Das führt zu schönen Geburtstagsfeiern …und auch dem 89. Geburtstag meiner über alles geliebten Tante Margot!

An unbelievable amount of friends and family members has their birthdays this month – actually if I think about it, this must be the month with the most birthdays for me. This leads to a lot of wonderful birthdayparties …like the 89.th birthday of my beloved grand aunt Margot!

Auch ein Scraptreffen gab es bei mir vor einigen Tagen – dabei durfte ich auch das kleine Baby der Kings endlich sehen – und da kommen wir schon zum nächsten Highlight des Monats – BABIES :-) LOL. Den kleinen J. durfte ich dann gestern in den Armen halten- er hat sich glaube ich wohl gefühlt und nun fehlt nur noch meine Freundin Antje…die jeden Moment ihr Kind bekommen sollte :-)

There was also a scrapmeeting at my place a couple days ago (no photos though) and there were also the Kings and I was able to see their little baby finally… which leads me to the next highlight this month: BABIES! LOL. And yesterday I hold the little J. in my arms…I think he really liked it – and now I’m waiting for my friend Antje who should receive the little holiday baby every moment :-)

Oh und dann gibt es natürlich auch noch einen BAUM! Jawohl! Hier ein Photo des bunt geschmückten, gut riechenden Oschis. Kater Niles gibt sich wie jedes Jahr völlig uninteressiert ;-)

Oh and then there is also a TREE! YES! Here is a photo of the colored, yummie smelling giant. Our cat Niles plays the cat who has no interests in blinking trees as always ;-)

*The Tree*

Gestern habe ich dann die wunderbare Mrs. Liz getroffen und wir sind ein wenig über den Hamburger Weihnachtsmarkt geschlendert und so langsam weicht das Stressgefühl…wohl auch wegen des ersten Urlaubstages- hehehe- einem wohligem “Hallo Weihnachten”-Gefühl. So kanns weitergehen :-)

Yesterday I had a gorgeous day with the amazing Mrs. Liz and we had a little time on the Hamburg Christmas Market and slowly the stressy feeling goes away…well maybe because this is my very first vacation day- hehehe- and a nice and cozy “Hello Christmas”-Feeling knocks on my inner door. This is how it can go on :-)

Und zum Schluß möchte ich noch einen Link mit Euch teilen …macht sehr sentimental – aber ich fand diese Photoreihe und den Text dazu unglaublich schön! Days with my Father. Seid gedrückt und habt einen wunderbaren Tag!!!

LO: Currywurst

Journaling: Sometimes my German Nature is showing and I crave Currywurst :)

Supplies: Ricco Papiere, Ricco Buchstaben, Acrylfarben AutumnLeaves Stempel, Marker, Signo Stift

A currywurst is essentially a German Bratwurst (sausage) cut up and served with ketchup that is mixed with curry powder – very yummie- LOL

NYC and NJ

so here you go with the last photos of the trip – I bet you want to see something else by now- LOL

We got back from Seattle to Newark on Sunday and went to NYC on Monday. We stayed there for two days as my DH was teaching a workshop in the Village and we wanted to meet some friends and do some shopping. We had a great time!

*Sitting outside and having coffee with friends in the Village…at the end of November- PRICELESS*

And while he was working…I was….ahem….shopping- LOL. I went to some of my favorite shops in the city and added another favorite: The first Scrapbooking Store in Manhattan “Portraitbug” – it was going to open in a couple hours and I was the lucky very first costumer. I loved everything they had in Store there- all my taste – and I loved the owner and the interior and absolutley all!!!! Portraitbug also has an Online Store which I highly recommend – seriously I fell in Love :)

The rest of our trip was pretty crazy – we slept every night at different places – met friends and family members in the morning, afternoon and evening and played Domino, shopped even more, had turkey three days in a row at different places, played rock band, went to a yummie Italian Restaurant, had amazing special beers, talked and laughed lot and had a good time.

Thanks Mom, Dad, Dave, Jess, Janice, Joe, JoeV, Shelly, Karen, Bill, Barb, Melissa and Mike for having us and being the amazing hosts you are – we miss you all already!

lucky you! i love that Y photo. too funny. i love the village. my hubby and i went to an Italian restaurant there for our anniversary a couple of years ago. LOvED it! Love all the street art. i’ll gonna check out the on-line store now.
