Endlich habe ich mein Designteam Scrapmusekit erhalten – leider hing es lange beim Zoll fest – aber umso größer die Freude als ich es öffnen durfte – wunderschön der Inhalt!

Finally I got my design team Scrapmuse kit – it had been haning in costums for a while – but I was so happy when I opened it – gorgoeus content!

Ich arbeite also wie wild an meinen Projekten fü Scrapmuse und habe dies gleich mal zum Anlass genommen, Euch mit einem ersten Video mit meinem neuen Spielzeug zu quäen. Seid nachsichtig, ich habe das noch nie gemacht – LOL.

So I’m working like crazy on my projects for Scrapmuse and thought it would be a good idea to show you a video with my new toy about my messy working. Please bare with me – I have never done a video before – LOL.

Heute ist mein Mann endlich wieder aus den Staaten zurückgekommen und das ist natürlich das Beste ;-). Darüberhinaus hat er aber auch viele Geschenke mitgebracht. Außer dem iTouch gab es noch ein besonders Spielzeug, in das ich mich gleich verliebt habe – mein neuer Flip Video Camcorder. So groß wie ein Mobiltelefon, leicht und mit einer Speicherkarte für eine Stunde Film. An der Seite ein rausschnappender USB Stecker, die Editerungs-Software ist bereits im Gerät installiert. Super easy, super cool – grandiose Qualität und Schnäppchenpreis. Ich werde Euch also demnächst mal mit ein paar Videos nerven ;-)

Today my DH came back from the States- what is the coolest news;-) But furthermore he brought me loads of presents. Besides the iTouch I got another real cool toy which I totally love: my new Flip Video Camcorder. It is small like a cell phone, light, stores about an hour of video and has a flip USB Arm. The software for editing movies is already preinstalled on the cam corder. Super easy, super cool – super quality and cheap! So look out for some videos soon ;-)

Nachdem ich ja nun meine Weihnachtsleinwand wieder abnehmen mußte, habe ich letzte Woche gleich eine andere Leinwand gestaltet. Das wird jetzt wohl die Leinwand bis März – gröhl – ich kann ja noch ein paar zum Tauschen machen ;-)

Finally I had to put down my Christmas Canvas – so I created a new canvas. I guess this will be my canvas on the wall till march – lol – I can just create some new ones to exchange them all in a while ;-)

Ein erstes Layout für dieses Jahr – von unserem Treffen im Dezember- es war echt so schön. Und das Foto erinnert mich, dass ich so viele wunderbare Menschen durch das Scrappen kennengelernt habe.

A first layout for this year – it is about our meeting in December with was really cool. And the photo reminds me that I got to know so many wonderful persons through Scrapbooking.

Supplies: Prima IOD Papers and Chipboard, Hambly Overlay Cosmo Cricket Chipboard and Paper, Heidi Swapp Chipboard Letters. Painted the Prima Paper with a acrylic glaze in blue. Used some Prima leftover negative chipboard as borders.

Im letzten Jahr hatte ich mir das Wort Zeit ausgesucht- hat ganz gut geklappt ;-) Aber dieses Jahr wähle ich Energie. Energie um Dinge anzupacken, Energie mich Dingen zu widersetzen, Energie zum Erfolg, Energie im Sinne von Motivation und natürlich nur positive Energie :-)

Last year I picked myself the word time- well that worked pretty good ;-) But this year I choose energy. Energy to get things done or try new things, energy to resist certain things, energy to be successful, energy in the sense of motivation and of course please only positve energy :-)

In diesem Sinne starte ich mal den Motor.

In this sense I will start my engine.

Schon ist das Jahr bald zuende. Ich wünsche Euch allen ein wunderschönes und erfolgreiches, gesundes Jahr 2008! Vielen Dank Euch allen fü das stetige Mitlesen und Eure wunderbaren Kommentare, die mir immer sehr viel bedeuten und mich wissen lassen, dass auch andere Spaß an meiner Arbeit und Projekten haben! Danke an alle die mich unterstützt haben und danke, dass ich so viele tolle Menschen wiedersehen und kennenlernen durfte! Danke an Daphne – der ich ganz herzlich zu ihrem Familienzuwachs gratuliere, für die grandiose Zeit, die wir mit Studio DaphNat verbracht haben und danke an meine Mädels, die mit mir gemeinsam die Idee des Workshopwochenendes in Hamburg umgesetzt und organisiert haben! Wir lesen uns im Neuen Jahr!

Seid Ihr auch immer so kritisch mit Euren Layouts? Ich bin es jedenfalls. Das ausklingende Jahr ist eine gute Gelegenheit mal die Sachen rauszupicken, die man gerne mag. Ich liebe noch immer die Farben und die Erinnerungen die ich mit diesem Foto verbinde – und…ich bin ein klein wenig stolz, dass dies eines der Layouts ist, das im Buch Scrapbook Styles Defined veröffentlicht wurde.

I still like the colors and I love the memories behind the photo – and…I’m a little bit proud that this is one of the layouts that was published in Scrapbook Styles Defined.

Auch hier mag ich die Farben (mhhh – habe ich wohl einen Hang zu Gelb und Blau? LOL) und das Journaling, denn es kommt aus tiefsten Herzen. Wenn mir was nicht passt, sage ich es – hat mich schon Kopf und Kragen gekostet, aber wisst Ihr was? Ich mag lieber morgens noch in den Spiegel schauen, auch wenn der Blessuren zeigt- LOL

I also like the colors with this one (I might be attracted with Yellow and Blue – LOL) And I also like the journaling, as it comes right from my right. If something is bugging me – I say it – I often risked a lot with this attitude – but you know what? I want to be able to look at myself in the mirror even if that looks scattered – LOL

Diese Fotos stammen aus einem alten Automaten in San Francisco – jedes Jahr wenn wir da waren (wir waren ein paar Jahre hintereinander da) haben wir dort Bilder gemacht. Ich liebe es- und mir gefällt, wie sich das Glimmer Mist hier schön auf dem Hintergrund miteinander vermischt hat.

Those photos are from an old photo booth in San Francisco – we used to do this every year we were there. I love this and I like how the Glimmer Mist is coming together in the background.

Bei diesem Layout muß ich mich immer beim Foto bekringeln. Ich saß ja selbst auf einem Motorroller als Ole und Leema hier gerade vorbeifuhren – es war eine grandiose Rom Reise. Und der Hintergrund hat total Spaß gemacht- die Technik ist eine meiner Liebsten!

I still crack up when I see this photo. I myself had been riding on a motorroller then Ole and Leem were driving by – it was such an awesome journey to Rome. And the background is my favorite- this is one of my favorite techniques.

*Urban Art*

Das Layout macht mir auch immer noch Laune! Die Chipboard Blume hat soviel Struktur – das hat richtig gefunzt. Und natürlich war es eine besondere Ehre für Pencil Lines Gastdesigner zu sein.

This layout is fun for me! Love the structure of the chipboard flower- that was fun to do. And of course it was a big honor to be a guest designer for Pencil Lines.

Hahahaha- und an dem Tag war ich vielleicht schlecht drauf- LOL. Das Layout macht mir auch immer noch richtig viel Spaß- die Herausforderung mit so viel Overlays zu arbeiten!

bwaahahaa- I was sooo cranky that day- LOL. This layout is still fun for me – I loved the challenge to work with so many overlays!

Ha- alleine die Fotos zu machen war schon zum Kringeln! Mir gefällt das Layout vor allem, weil das auch mein Rekord an Fotos auf einem Layout ist – Ihr wisst ja, ich bin eine Ein-Foto-Frau – LOL

Ha- you should have seen me taking those photos! I love this layout because it shows my record of putting multiple photos on one layout – you know I’m a Single-Photo-Woman-LOL

Hier liebe ich zunächst auch das Foto – meine Großmutter, meine Großtante und mein Großonkel. Und dann hat mir die Technik so dermaßen viel Spaß gemacht – auch eine meine Lieblingstechniken.

Here I love the photo – my grandmother, my grandaunt and -uncle. And furthermore I totally love this technique – also one of my favorite ones.

Also der Canvas sieht in Echt meiner Meinung nach tausend Mal besser aus – ich habe richtig Spa߸ dabei gehabt – auch wenn es ewig gedauert hat, die Buchstaben aufzumalen- LOL.

Well – I think this canvas looks much better in real life – I had so much fun to make it – even though it took forever to paint those letters onto the background- LOL

Auch hier hat mir besonders die Hintergrundgestaltung auf Graupappe richtig viel Spaß gemacht und …ich bin froh, daß dieses Jahr einigermassen rund lief -bis auf ein paar traurige Zwischenfälle. Aber nächstes Jahr- gelle- da wirds richtig cool!!!

I loved creating the background on the cardboard so much …and I’m glad that this year was kind of a good year, besides some really sad incidents. But next year – right? that is going to be a really coool year!

Zwei große Feiern liegen nun hinter mir und jetzt kann auch mal ein wenig ausgespannt werden vor dem großen Tag morgen. Wir haben ganz viele tolle Päckchen unter dem Baum liegen und auch noch die eine oder andere völlig unerwartete Weihnachtsüberraschung gestern erhalten – ich bin happy!

Two big parties are laying behind me now and finally I can relax a little bit before the big day arrives. (Germans celebrate christmas and unpack their packages on Christmas Eve – we do celebrate it the German and American way- the advantage of a multicultural marriage ;-) ). We have a lot of awesome packages under the tree and we got some really cool and totally unexpected christmas surprises yesterday – I’m totally happy!
