Deck of Me: Card #12

Woran glaubst Du? Das war mehr oder weniger die Frage, die Emily uns sich zu stellen bat. Nun, bis zu einem gewissen Grad glaube ich daran, daß Gutes demjenigen widerfährt, der Gutes tut ;-) Die Karte ist übrigens mit der Plastikfolien-Knautsch-Ordentlich-Rum-Technik entstanden.

What do you believe? That is more or less Emily‘s question this week. Well – to a certain degree I believe that good things come to those who are doing good ,-) The card was treated with the clingwrap crinkle technique.

Studio DaphNat: Clingwrap Crinkle Technique

Claudine Hellmuth hat Daphne und mich mal wieder inspieriert und wir haben diesmal die Plastikfolie-Krumpel-Technik (freie Übersetzung – LOL) angewandt. Und ich sag Euch- das ist eine meiner Lieblingstechniken geworden – das Ergebnis ist ganz nach meinem Geschmack!
Daphne and I got inspired again by Claudine Hellmut and used clingwrap for a crinkle technique. And I tell you – this is one of my favorite techniques – the result is right after my fancy ;-) !

Was man braucht: Frischhaltefolie, verdünnte Acrylfarbe oder Farbe ähnlicher Konsistenz wie zum Beispiel Alkohol Inks oder Wasserfarbe, Pinsel und einen Untergrund, den man bemalen möchte.

What you need: clingwrap, watered down acrylic paint or paint with a similar texture like alcohol inks or watercolor, brushes and a surface you want to paint.

Zunächst habe ich die Technik auf einer mit Gesso bemalten Spielkarte und mit Ecoline Farbe angewandt:

First I tried the technique on a card painted with gesso and Ecoline paint:

Ecoline draufgeschmiert, ein paar verdünnte Tropfen braune Acrylfarbe

Apply some Ecoline and some watered down drops of brown acrylic paint


Danach ein Stück Frischhaltefolie auf die Karte legen und die Folie ein wenig mit den Fingern zusammenknautschen.

Put a piece of clingwrap onto the surface and crinkle it a bit with your fingers.


Nachdem die Farbe getrocknet ist, die Folie vorsichtig abziehen und so sieht das Ergebnis aus:
After the paint is dry remove the foil – this is the result:

Als nächstes habe ich die Technik mit Acrylfarben auf der mit der Klarspüler-Technik bearbeiteten Technik angewandt.

Afterwards I tried this techniqe with acrylic paints on the canvas I used the rinse aid resist technique with.

schön Falten reinmachen ;-) nice crinkles

Und das Ergebnis – welches mir richtig gut gefällt, weil man die Klarspüler -Technik noch mit erkennt!

And the result – which I love because you can still see the rinse aid technique!

And here – something which created a lot of texture – cardstock treated with Mod Podge – then with acrylic paints

    WOW this is awesome, they turned out so beautiful. I have used the clingwarp to dab paints and ink on but never like this. So totally cool!!!

Layout: Flower Girl

Ein neues Layout für unsere Foto-Swap Runde- diesmal für Svenja!! Ich hoffe Du magst es ;-)

Journaling: Ein modernes Flower Girl stelle ich mir genau so vor – frisch und funky – herzallerliebst und talentiert…wie Svenja halt :-)

In anderer Sache – gibt es französische Leser hier? Ich bräuchte ein französische Buch, hartes Cover, was im Regal rumsteht und nicht mehr gebraucht wird aber noch intakt. Ich möchte gerne ein Buch zum Thema Paris altern and fände es schön ein gebrauchtes französisch sprachiges Buch zu benutzen. Im Gegenzug gäbe es natürlich was Schönes ;-)

On another note – are there any french readers here? I would like to have french book, hard cover, something you have in your shelf and don’t need anymore – but that is still good. I would like to alter a book and give it the theme Paris and I would love to use a used french book. And I would give something nice in return ;-)

Deck of Me: Card #11

Obwohl ich Emilys Idee, eine Karte über den Anfangsbuchstaben seines Namens zu machen, nicht schlecht fand, habe ich mich damit extrem schwer getan und auch die Karte sieht genau so aus – LOL! Aber ich zeige sie trotzdem – seid nachsichtig mit mir ;-)

Though I really liked Emily’s idea of a creating a card about the first initial, I had difficulties to design it and unfortunately you can tell by looking at the card – LOL! But I will show it anyway – please be forgiving ;-)

Tomboy

Das bin ich mit 16. This picture shows me with 16

Journaling in the star reads: A tomboy – that’s what I have been most of my youth – hanging around with guys – doing the same stupid things as they do. Sports – all kind of sports and I was good. And then with 16 years I was the only girl that still behaved like a boy so I started growin my hears and trying to act more like a girl – a bit successful – but to tell you the truth: I’m still a tomboy – I like hanging around with guys, driking beer, watching fun movies, talking in a lanuage which is no girl talk And? So what? It’s fine – I’m a wonderful woman: I take boths sides and I love it :-)

Pimp My Flat

So sah unsere Wohnung aus – ein alter Dachboden – als wir sie das erste Mal sahen.

DT-Work: ScrapMuse March Kit – Part I

So ein geniales Kit von Scrapmuse diesen Monat – ich hatte unglaublich viel Spaß damit zu arbeiten. Meine Layouts zeige ich mal in zwei Teilen, hier Part I.

Such an amazing Kit this month from Scrapmuse – I had so much fun to work with it. I will show my layouts in two parts – here is the first.

Yikes…Fried Oreos

Also bitte – fritierte Oreos – schaut Euch mal das Gesicht an!

I mean – common – fried oreos – look at my friend’s and DH’s face!

Ich habe die AC Sterne mit Acrylfarbe bestrichen. Der Titel ist aus einem Foto ausgeschnitten.
I painted the AC Stars with acrylic paints. The title is the cut out title of a photo of the sign.

Easy Hummus

Das ist eine Rezept Karte für meinen Rezepthalter in der Küche. Ein einfaches Hummus Rezept. Das Foto zeigt Kichererbsen, Jalapenos, Zwiebeln und Koriander im Mixer.

This is a recipe card for my recipe holder in the kitchen. Easy Hummus. The photo shows the garbanzo beans, jalapenos and onions as well as cilantro in the mixer.
I used the stars as bullet points.

This Place

Das Photo zeigt den Eingang einer Bar hier um die Ecke, die sehr klein ist und unter einer S-Bahn-Brücke. Es spielen dort jede Menge Bands am Wochenende und häufig auch Bands, die wir kennen.

The photo shows the entrance of a bar around the corner which is tiny and underneath the streetcar bridge. There are a lot of bands playing there on weekends – often bands we know.

Journaling reads:
This place
is moldy, overcrowded, loud and filled with smoke
but it is a freakin’ awesome
place to hang out.

Studio DaphNat: Rinse Aid Resist – Result

Vor einiger Zeit hatten Daphne und ich mit Klarspüler rumexperimentiert und heute wollen wir Euch zeigen, was wir aus den Ergebnissen gemacht haben. Ich habe den Buchseiten-Hintergrund benutzt um für den Fotoswap mit Danyeela ein Layout zu machen. Irgendwie war ich der Meinung, für Danyeela ein selbstgemachter Hintergrund zu verwenden wäre ,-) Ich hoffe, dass ihr das Layout einigermaßen gefällt – wenn nicht, ich mache gerne noch eins!

Some time ago Daphne and I experimented with rinse aid and today we want to show you what we created with those results. I used the book side background for a layout for a photo swap with Danyeela. I had this urge to use a selfmade background for Danyeela ;-) I hope she likes it a bit – if not, I create a new one!

Layout: I am What I am

Bei diesem Layout habe ich mal wieder wild rumgespielt ;-)

I played around wildly with this layout ;-)


Zunächst habe ich den Cardstock mit Gesso überzogen, das ganze ein wenig abgeschliffen, gestempelt und an den Kanten Acryl Glasperlen Gel aufgetragen, das ganze mit Kreide überzogen. Das Notenblatt mit Acryl Lasur und Acrylfarbe überzogen, das Foto mit Alkohol Inks bearbeitet und mich mit den Stickles ausgetobt – wattn Spaß :-)

First I added Gesso to the cardstock, used a sanding block to get rid of it at parts, stamped it, applied acrylic glasbead gel and chalked the background. I mixed my own acrylic glaze and painted the note sheet, used alcoholic inks on the foto and totally flipped out with my stickles – oh boy – what a fun :-)

Altered Books

Ich bin gerade total fasziniert von Altered Books – und arbeite an einem kontinuierlich nach der Arbeit, kann es aber nicht in Gänze zeigen, weil es ein besonderes Geschenk für ….mmmhhh….jemanden sein soll, der ab und zu mal hier vorbeilinst – LOL! Und da diejenige kein Deutsch spricht, sei soviel für meine deutschen Freunde verraten, es ist ein Hochzeitsgeschenk für meinen Schwager und seine Bald-Frau ;-)ÂÂ Hier ein paar Sneaks.

I’m totally faszinated by altered books right now and I’m working constantly on one after work – but I can show the whole book right now because it is going to be a present for someone special :-)ÂÂ Just a few peeks- does this look interesting?

Ich liebe ja Bücher, so daß es für mich zunächst recht befremdlich war, Löcher reinzuschneiden, Seiten rauszureißen und was weiß ich noch damit zu veranstalten, aber wenn man sich erstmal überwunden hat, geht es ganz von selbst – grins.

I do love books, so it was a bit strange to cut holes in books, rip pages out and what else you can do with it, but once you started you get the fun – LOL!
