Poppen und Pantschen or Let it Pop and Splash

Heheeh- this is something that is more amusing for my German Readers- because it translates not well. Actually it came from my Denglish during my Austria-Workshops. See…it is not easy when you had a workshop several times taught in English and then all of a sudden you hold in German. I know, I know, it is my own language…but you have phrases that you used over and over, that it is hard to translate. Like “you can really make it pop” – well….there is a verb in German “poppen” that actually means something else – LOL . My students were giggling the whole time- it was quite funny. Anyway- one of the students – the ever cute Sandra made a layout about this – and I love it so much. Such a cool layout – and check my posture out- LOL

Hehehe.

Cherry Pie Creations – Workshop in The Netherlands

It was such an amazing and fun Cherry Pie Creations weekend in The Netherlands in Venray. My sweet Liz and I drove 6 hours down and we had a blast. While Liz was taking a total of 9 workshops and showed up once in a while with piles and piles of materials and projects, I taught my classes and enjoyed having students from Israel, Italy, Ireland, Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands. All the students were amazing and all the groups had a really fun vibe and the outcomes were all different, unique and stunning! Here are the classes I taught. I might teach them again in a small group in Hamburg- but for now they are retired :)

Eternal Love

*Tribute Album*

It was also such a fun and good time to hang out with the other teachers. Birgit, Natasja and Vicki are such wonderful personalties- we had a very good time and laughed quite  a lot- LOL – AR!!!!! Manita did a great job organizing the Event and it was fun shopping at Special Memories and Scrapheap

I met so many wonderful students and I can’t all poin them out – Ingeborg was so nice to send me a couple pictures- here is Ingeborg and me staring the the sun- LOL

And here is Viv – who sent me the pic- see – I love how different the outcome is with her layout:

And Ingeborg sent me hers- isn’t that amazing?

I have to say that this is my favorite part of this workshop for me…all the different outcomes and how students get excited about it…and if you were in one of my workshops…you know I get totally excited about it too- LOL

The girls from Special Memories did an amazing job helping and my special thanks go out to Judith and Anja who helped during my classes as well to the other sweethearts that treated me with tea, and Wilhelmina Peppermints :) Love you girls- you are the best! Here is a photo of all of us (also stolen from Vicki Boutin – I hope she is not killing me!)

Here is Manita and us workshop teachers – it cracks me up how we all look in different directions :)

and here is the nice picture that I stole from Vici’s Blog :) I love this picture of Natasja, Vicki, Manita, Birgit and me! We are beaming…because it was so awesome!

Hopefully I will see many of you again!

huge hugs

Hi. I’m Anat, Mya friend that was in your class. We met Ingeborg in the middle of mastricht. She came towards us and ask if it us that were in the weekend. I was so exited about the meeting that I forgot to take her e-mail for some chatting. And here you are putting yours photo and I’m looking and say – oh my god – there she is, the same lady that we met in Mastricht accidentally. What a coincidence. I’ll be glad if you can connect us or throw me her e-mail. I’m going to make a post on my blog about beautiful Mastricht.
    Thanks alot.

Workshops in Austria – Scrapqueens Designtage

FUN – that describes it best :) It was a wonderful weekend, amazing organization by the Scrapqueens` owners Karin and Conny, heartful and warm welcome by them and the other girls, a beautiful location Galerie Zentgraf for the workshop itself and an amazing landscape. Austria is pretty cool  and I want to come back :)

After the flight to Vienna we were picked up by Karin and drove about an hour to Lake Neusiedl where we had a nice talk to the girls and a drink.

The workshops started on Saturday and it was amazing again how different the results were. Here are some samples drying.

Everyone was in a good mood and after  a while I think even the people that don’t like messy stuff enjoyed themself. :)

We had a nice lunch outside on the terrace and it was really hot!

here a food photo – you know I can’t go without one – LOL

Christiane and me

After the second workshop we went to eat Pizza and strolled around a bit in Mörbisch.

There is a lot of wine growing there and they were harvesting the grapes with those tiny little tractors.

And afterwards we went back to the Galerie Zentgraf and joined a wine tasting session. They do their own wine there and it was pretty good! I really loved the concept there of good food, art and wine  and the family atmosphere!

We went to bed early and the next day we had again fun teaching our workshops!

Walking to work :)

Weg zur Arbeit :)

It was such a wonderful group! Thank you all so much!

Vielen Dank Euch allen!

After the latest workshop, shopping in the awesome Scrapqueens shop and some packing, Conny took as to the Lake were we enjoyed the beautiful landscape and sunset and asked somebody to take a picture of us. Unfortunatley it is blurry and more unfortunatley Karin wasn’t with us- but it totally shows the warm and settled feeling we all had at that moment :)

Thank you so much Conny and Karin for inviting me! I had a gorgeous time!

Vielen Dank Conny und Karin für die Einladung! Ich hatte ein tolle Zeit mit Euch!

Workshops in Barcelona – me gusta :)

WOOOWww- it was so much fun! Get ready for a couple posts with photos  :)

Friday after work I made my way to the airport. Already a bit stressed I entered the plane and accidentially put (not knocked!) my laptop bag on a guy’s feet. He yelled at me – although I apologized – for about 20 minutes – which caused me to have two thoughts “keep calm- bad Karma will eventually get you” and “let me be your bad karma and punch you into your face!”. So I arrvied after the 2 1/2 hour flight in an even more stressed out mood and the fact, that my luggage was in the totally different terminal to pick up which I and the rest of the plane crowd didn’t figure out for a while, didn’t add to a better feel. And then I got out of the terminal and…nobody there. As it turned out Lisa had been to the wrong terminal too. I waited for an hour, freaking out, realizing the phone number I had with me was wrong and ..I had forgotten to write down the address. Just let me tell you, I thought that this is going to be the most nightmare-trip I have ever started…nearly close to cry- LOL – nearly close to have a little melt down. And then there she was: LISA – LOL. And from there …it was the coolest trip ever ;)

We had a wonderful family dinner on the roof terrace, a good talk and I slept very good! The next morning Lisa and I get into her car and she brought me to the beach, where we had breakfast.

We ate Pa amb tomaquet with egg omelette- so yummie.  I loved the conversations with Lisa– she rocks :)

Then we went to Lisa’s studio where the workshops took place and it was so much fun with the first workshop – Eternal Love. The students totally put their own twists to it and it was amazing to see the outcomes. No layout looked like the other! Lisa did an outstanding job organizing the whole workshops!

We had a nice lunch at a restaurant – yummie gazpacho – and paella and I loved talking to the girls.

Afterwards the second Workshop “Tribute Album” started. All the students were so fun and free and heartful and Lisa did an amazing job translating and making everybody feel home!

And there was also a male student – Angel! He came with his little daughter and seemed to have a good time too :)

Mireia and me. Mireia was such a sweetheart and waited till I had packed everything and brought me to the hotel- which was a long trip because of a traffic jam- I loved it so much. She told me a lot about the history and art in Barcelona and the outlet of the city. She knew so much. Thanks again girl!!!

And here is a group photo – some students were gone already- but I love this. (I stole it from Lisa’s Blog- ahem :) )

Thank you so much Lisa, Scraphouse and to all the wonderful students I had the pleasure to meet this weekend!

I will post a lot Barcelona Pictures the next days- hope you don’t mind- but this city is just an inspiration with no end!

How wonderful! Everything looks so cool. (Well, except for the airport bit.) The artists did such a great job.

I LOVE the quote! I think I will lift it into something for my classroom.

Thanks for being so cool to read!

I love the pictures – it is so clear that the time you had was fab. But girl HOW do I feel for you about the flight and the arrival. I would have totally freaked, and cried, and cursed. Well done you for keeping your cool
