I’m happy to show another gorgeous layout which my sweet friend Birgit Koopsen from the Netherland created. I so can’t wait to see this talented Girl again at the ScrapTastic Event 2010 in Belgium where we both teach.

Ich freue mich riesig noch ein weiteres wunderschönes Layout zeigen zu können, das meine Freundin Birgit Koopsen aus den Niederlanden gemacht hat. Ich kann es kaum  erwarten sie endlichbei dem ScrapTastic Event 2010 in Belgien wieder zusehen, wo wir beide Workshops geben werden.

“…Nat …. she designed some gorgeous artistic papers, overlays and stamps that make you want to scrap right away. … Luckily I found some time this weekend to play a little and I made this LO using an old picture of my sweet son, taken almost 13 years ago when he was only 1,5 years old. I so love getting emails with layouts and projects using my eMOTions-Collection. Today I want to show you two wonderful layouts that Melanie Scharke created!

Ich liebe es Emails mit Layouts und Projekten mit meiner eMOTions-Kollektion zu bekommen. Heute zeuge ich Euch zwei  wunderschöne Layouts, die Melanie Scharke kreiert hat!

*A Longtime Friendship by Melanie Scharke*

Melanie: Für dieses Layout habe ich die Punkte, die schon auf dem Overlay drauf waren, einfach weiss übergemalt und schwarz eingerahmt. Noch ein Bommelband dazu und eine Uhr von Tim Holtz dazu, fertig ist auch dieses Layout. Ich finde die Papier selber schon so genial, dass da gar nicht mehr an “anderen” Papieren oder Cardstock zu muss, wäre einfach zu schade

I love how many photos she put in here and how she colored the dots of the transparencies in white.

Ich finde es großartig, wieviele Photos sie auf dem Layout untergebracht hat und wie sie auch die Punkte auf dem Transparent weiß hervorgehoben hat.

Melanie: Die Qualität ist einmalig, fast wie Cardstock und das Design ist der Hammer, die Papiere alleine sind schon ein Layout wert.

Bei diesem Layout habe ich es wie Nat gemacht und die Overlayteile mit Acrylfarbe “hintermalt”. Ein bisschen gedoodel, Sterne aus einem Overlay ausgeschnitten aufgeklebt und fertig.

My very talented friend Nat Kalbach has a beautiful line of papers called eMotions and it’s so lovely!  Best of all the painty look makes it super easy to create an artsy layout in just minutes.  Here’s what I was able to whip up.

I simply combined these two papers.

…with a sewing machine and some chipboard letters.  And now I’ve got a layout with all the depth that paint and texturing creates, but my hands are completely clean!

I love how she used the clouds as journaling spots and also used two different papers under the Transparency.
