Photo Transfer: Mod Podge

Mod Podge ist, einfach eine Variante des auch hier erhältlichen Serviettenklebers. Mit Mod Podge kann man ebenfalls hervorragend Bilder auf Leinwand transferieren.

You can do an awesome transfer technique with Mod Podge on canvas

Zunächst bestreicht man die Leinwand drei bis viermal mit Mod Podge. Jede dieser Schichten muß ungefähr 30 – 45 Minuten trocknen.

First you cover the canvas three to four times with Mod Podge and let each layer dry for about 30-45 minutes.

Auch hier ist ein möglichst kontrastreiches Bild – fotokopiert so dunkel wie möglich, damit so viel wie möglich Toner auf dem Bild haften bleibt – die Garantie für beste Ergebnisse.

You will need a fotocopy which is high in contrast – so that a lot of toner is attached to the copy – this is the guaranty for best results.

Das fotokopierte Bild legt mit dem Bild nach unten auf die Landwand . Man bestreicht es sodann über das Bild hinausgehend wiederum Mod Podge und damit keine Luftblasen entstehen, mit einer kleinen Reibwalze einglätten.

Place the fotocopied picture face down onto the canvas. Apply another layer of ModPodge on top and go over it with a brayer to avoid air bubbles

Das ganze über Nacht trocknen lassen. Mit einem Schwamm Wasser auf das Bild draufgeben und einwirken lassen und sodann vorsichtig das Bild abrubbeln. Voila! Fertig ist der Transfer auf die Leinwand.
Let this dry overnight. Use a little sponge with water and let the water soak in. Rub off the paper – be careful to not rub to violently. Voila – the transfer is on the canvas.

Der Aufwand ist schon groß, aber das Ergebnis ist klasse – ich liebe das feste Material und Aussehen. Probiert es einfach mal aus!
