Scrapbooking Convention in Denmark

Ok – as promised I show you some pictures of the Scrapbooking Convention in Middelfart Denmark. It was so cool. 170 People and 9 shops – 6 classes and an amazing organization. All that just 1 hour across the German Border!

We arrived on Friday before the start – and the set up was still in progress.

Heidi the organisator, Christiane and me. (stolen from Maj-Brits Blog…sorry sweets- don’t kill me- think of the DRAMA – LOL)

There was a midnight crop with Bingo – and we had a lot of fun!

Early in the morning the hall filled up pretty quickly.

And the workshops began in the workshoprooms.

Und die Workshops begannen in den Workshopräumen.

Little sneak into Christianes first Workshop.

Einmal kurz reingelinst in Christianes Workshop.

Maj-Brit is the cutest!!!!

Maj-Brit ist die Knuffigste!!!!

The next Scrapbooking Convention in Denmark will be on October 3rd – I won’t be there …I will be somewhere else….still a secret…tell you soon :) But next year in March/April I will be definetly teaching again at the Scrapbookign Convention in Denmark :)

Project 365 – Week 13

I can’t believe I’m going back to normal – and normal means a very very busy work week! But I had a great time in Denmark – I will show more pictures about it later – and tell more about it later :-) For now I leave you with my pictures for week 11 this year.

*82/365*

I love how B. just went shopping with us girls in a Mall in New Jersey – and was hanging out at the Tube Tops :)

*83/365*

Fred enjoying the New Jersey sun – such a cute cat!!!

*84/365*

After the yuckie long over night flight from the US to Germany, laying on the sofa and sleeping on and off is my main thing to do this day.

*85/365*

No Spring in sight – so I got the spring inside ;)

*86/365*

Denmark, here we come! Christiane and me in the car on our way to Denmark – fun roadtrip :-)

Far traveled Danish Brew – brought from Copenhagen to Memphis, presented to J. – then traveld to Dayton, Ohio – from there to Newark, NJ and then to Hamburg, Germany where we drank it celebrating Workshops in the USA and Denmark- yummie IPA!

Workshops at PortraitBug New York City

So finally I can show you some pictures of my workshops in NYC at PortraitBug. It was so much fun. Kim the owner is amazingly sweet as well as her hubby and her cute little daughter. I had a great time staying there and I’m sad that Kim lives so far away- it is as she and I connected :-) I also loved the staff – Boys and Girls- you rocked and kept me sane! Thank you so much! Love your spirit and energy! The workshops were creative and fun. I didn’t take photos of my very first workshop with the kids on Friday afternoon – I think I have been a bit too excited – but it went very well and I loved the creativity of the kids!!!

Friday evening I taught my Brayer Workshop two times – which was a lot of fun!

Afterwards was a crop and I went to bed at 3 am. I was unbelievable tired but nonetheless my head was spinning and I think I slept at around 5 am and got up again at 7am. My next workshop on Saturday after sorting Materials and Organization stuff was the Canvas Workshop –  I loved how differently all the canvases turned out and I had a lot of fun and wonderful conversations with all the different women in this class!

I love how this looks like a little Porsche in the City :-)

Brigitte – maybe I’m coming back but otherwise take classes with Julie- she rocks the house!!!

And yeah – a yellow city taxi!

After the Canvas Workshop I taught my “Make It Flatter” Workshop and forgot again to take more pictures :(

Those two were so cute- I loved their laughter :-)

After the workshop I walked to the front of the store and there she was, waiting for me….Julie Fei Fan Balzer!!!! I tell you this girl is the coolest- LOL. I love her! And funny enough I felt as if we know each other for a long time. I tried to rub my hands on her arms all the time (I guess she thinks I’m weird) in hope her creative mojo rubs on to me ;-) We went to a Mexican Restaurant, had a lot of fun and ate yummie and then we went back to the store where Kim had a photosession with us. I do not have the originals yet- these are scanned in from a touching card Kim gave me at the end of the workshops. Boy, I have laughed so hard…I cried LOL.

This is my favorite – with Asher in the front -LOL – look at her cute face!

I know we will see each other again :-)

Afterwards another Crop and going to bed at 2.30 am – Asher when started to show me her wonderful doll house furniture very early in the morning “this is the diaper station, this is the rocker, this is….” – LOL – but you can’t be mad at such a cute little English Teacher, can’t you?

So Sunday morning my 4 1/2 hour acrylic minialbum workshop took place and again I had an amazing time will all the girls :-)

A lot of them I have had the pleasure to know online before and it was absolutley thrilling to get to know them in real life! I hope we will see each other again!

Cheryl – oh boy I wish I lived in NYC to join her NYC Scrapbooking Meetups. Girl you got my heart :-)

Jan: Thank you so much for you wonderful ATC and the sweet words- you rock girl !

Jill – you are the sweetest – big hugs to you!

Sandi you cracked me up – you are so funny and awesome! You and Cheryl made me giggle the whole time :-)

Gotcha! :-)

My last class on sunday was the “When I was…” Minialbum Workshop.

Justin – you are too cool!!! And…maybe he will join this years’ Christmas Ornament Swap – he promised Karen- LOL

Harmonie – see- I told you you would love flowers….there are black flowers in the package also – LOL

And my sweet friend Karen came to the workshop too – see her T-Shirt? How cool is that? I couldn’t believe my eyes. Harmonie thought Karen is a weird stalker though and asked her “Do you know Nat? Because this is a bit scary!” I still laugh about this! LOL. And you will see this T-Shirt on more photos soon – LOL

So that were my workshops in NYC! Thank you all again- and sorry for those of you I missed to take photos of – if you have any- send me photos!!!!! If you want some- email me! Maybe we will see again :-)

…..

Off to my workshops in Denmark – You bet you get some pictures about those workshops too :-)

Project 365 – Week 12

I’m back. Arrived this morning – totally tired (although I was lucky and the seat next to me was empty – but Twilight and James Bond kept me awake- LOL). I had a wonderful time with the Workshops, my friends, new friends and so on. I will tell more later. I’m busy packing materials and stuff for my Denmark Workshops :-) So for now you get the late pictures of the week :)

Paterson NJ – Great Falls -Unbelievable that this town has been a wealthy city in the late 19th century and been known as silk city. Nowadays lot’s of old abandoned houses and industrial buildings.

*78/365*

We went to the Lambert Castle in Paterson NJ – just for fun and be goofy and see the biggest spoon collection in the world. This old piano caught my interest – love this!

*79/365*

Brayer Workshops I taught in New York City that day- the people had so much fun to get creative and wild – I loved it!

*80/365*

Picture taken at my Canvas Workshop on Saturday in NYC. I loved the way how creative people got and how different their outcome was from my proto type :-)

More or less all I saw from the city while teaching the workshops

Later Gators- time to go to bed :-)

An Interview and I arrived :-)

Yes…that is what you do when you are awake since 5 am because of the jet lag…you edit photos and write a blog entry- LOL. So I arrived safely in NJ, had a nice family dinner, and met my brother and sister in law and I now stay at a friend’s house. I feel still a bit sick -but it is overcovered with excitement and fun. I guess that is the best to get healthy again :)

Here some photos-  I leave the photos of the day out and show those later :-)

*Graffiti in NJ*

In the little town my parents in law live – everything is clean and nice. So I was trying to find some graffiti – and it took quite a while….but I think the dog poo painted with a black marker on this funny sign counts – don’t you think? LOL

*Tin Back Splash*

My brother in law and his wife who are for me not only family but friends and have a really cool kitchen – added these tins as a back splash – I love love love this. I got some little pieces of those tins and I have some ideas for projects.

*Great Falls, Paterson NJ*

My friends J. and S. live close to Paterson, NJ. We did a little tour and then I learned that Paterson actually has falls – so we had to go there. I expected like a mini fall  – but that was actually pretty big and LOUD!!!

*J. and Nat*

My friend J. and I – while he looks nice and friendly I look like  white bed linnen- LOL.

—-

On another note – I got interviewed for this wonderful German blog which is part of a Creative Community. This month they feature Scrapbooking and show all kinds of things to their community so they can learn about Scrapbooking. Love this concept.

Schaut doch mal rein :)
