Art Of Living as an Artist

Project 365 – Week 12

I’m back. Arrived this morning – totally tired (although I was lucky and the seat next to me was empty – but Twilight and James Bond kept me awake- LOL). I had a wonderful time with the Workshops, my friends, new friends and so on. I will tell more later. I’m busy packing materials and stuff for my Denmark Workshops :-) So for now you get the late pictures of the week :)

I always forget what a car focused country America is. But this mail box with it’s opening to the street side says it all.

*77/365*

Paterson NJ – Great Falls -Unbelievable that this town has been a wealthy city in the late 19th century and been known as silk city. Nowadays lot’s of old abandoned houses and industrial buildings.

*78/365*

We went to the Lambert Castle in Paterson NJ – just for fun and be goofy and see the biggest spoon collection in the world. This old piano caught my interest – love this!

*79/365*

Brayer Workshops I taught in New York City that day- the people had so much fun to get creative and wild – I loved it!

*80/365*

Picture taken at my Canvas Workshop on Saturday in NYC. I loved the way how creative people got and how different their outcome was from my proto type :-)

*81/365*

More or less all I saw from the city while teaching the workshops

Later Gators- time to go to bed :-)

I love seeing your observation of the direction our mailboxes face–I’ve never known anything different and would have had no idea that in some that would look backward. It’s so cool to see our world shrinking. I’d love to see our country become less car-centric.

Great photos and congratulations on your workshop here. Sounds like you’re having some amazing success!

Project 365 – Week 10

This is one of those weeks I would love to totally ban from my mind and actually I know this is true for the coming week too. Yes – I know – you don’t know me like that, but this is a phase where I have so much to work (the normal work and the Scrapbooking related stuff ;) ) and nothing works.

*61/365*

First thing I do when I come from work, throwing keys and bag onto the table.

*62/365*

We often get silver trees with “evil eye stones” from our clients. They are supposed to protect us.

*63/365*

New Shoes …good feeling – empty pockets, guilty feelings – oh well :)

*64/365*

that is how I felt that day!

*65/365*

March 6-2009: Funny the Bridge – Schulterblatt – get’s more and more artsy. Love to see all the new little things each week.

 *66/365*

Crazy saturday- just rushing around- at least I took the time to work out- that felt pretty good :-)

*67/265*

Tough week, nothing works as it is supposed to do, communication fails with many ends and on top…I scratched my LCD Monitor on my Camera – so here is my Mantra!

Have a good one :-)

Project 365 – Week 9

Yeah – March!!!! All is getting better! Even the little bird outside is yelling his lungs out and tells the sun to try harder to get through the yuckie fog and mist. Keep it up Dude – it will be getting wamer soon :-) And here are the photos of my week.

*54/365*

I cooked a nice warming “The Sisters Stew” – yummie. Great seasoning mix we bought in Portland, Oregon.

*55/365*

Office desk – I have to talk on the phone so much daily- I actually dislike talking on the phone when I’m at home .

*56/365*

Saw this bus on my way to work – I want to hop on it with a bunch of friends and do a fun roadtrip!

*57/365*

Niles insists to be in the picture again – he gives me the “iffe lookkeee couldee kill” expression

*58/365*

I got a rose as a thank you from one of my bosses. I had brighten her lousy day and she wanted to show me how much she liked that. That then lightened my day. Lovely chain reaction :-)

*59/365*

I was invited to the little tiny King’s – Jule’s – baptism. It was a wonderful ceremony and I actually liked the church a lot too.

*60/365*

I bought pussy willows. When I was a little kid my Mom and I used to buy them as a sign of spring coming for our living room. I loved to touch them (well – I still do). So Spring – here we come !

Have a great weekend you all!!!

  • Sue Clarke

Project 365 – Week 8

Schon die 7. Woche- wahnsinn – die Zeit vergeht :-)

Already week 7 – wowsers-  time flies :-)

*47/365*

Some things on my mind – Fridge poetry :-)

*48/365*

Bambi with teeth on my way to work :-)

*49/365*

View from my office desk – for the first time in months clear and sunny.

*50/365*

Mojo made an appearance for a couple hours and left me happy and with messy paint fingers :)

*51/365*

I can’t wait till the tree in front of my studio window is finally all green with leaves again.

*52/365*

I loved this crop day- the conversations, the dynamic – wonderful time there!

*53/365*

The big stamp on the right is new – I guess I need to use my stamps more often :-) Those wooden blogs make me happy.

Ich wünsche Euch einen grandiosen erholsamen Sonntag.

Project 365 – Week 7

A crazy week – but still not uncool – LOL

*40/365*

London – British Museum – it was such a weird light that day- but I like this. I love the big courtyard and try to go there just to rest every time I’m in London.

*41/365*

Nothing better than a super fresh Ciabatta – here with rosemary – and then some  drizzles of good olive oil and fresh lime and a bit of salt…this is what my family in Italy loved to eat for breakfast and I always love this as comfy food.

*42/365*

Since my Mojo is missing Niles tries to help. He is a good trooper that day…unlike last weekend then he pied in my husbands suitcase to show how much he dislikes that we are going away….well …at least he knows who bought the tickets! :)

*43/365*

Trouble #3 paid us a visit. Such a funny guy. LOL – look at his flew – heheheh!

*44/365*

I got some Roses on Friday already – ahhhhhhhh :-)

*45/365*

I got my godson a little globe in London for his birthday- his english is quite good now – so he should be ok with the english geographic names.

*46/365*

My friend A. and her baby. Paula is listening to the piano while A. is giving me the usual “you don’t take a photo of me, don’t you”-Look :-)

….

Have a great evening :-)

Project 365 – Week 6

A little bit late – because of my London Trip – the photos of week 5 :)

*33/365*

So funny- on my way to Sylvia this monday morning I spied this – I have never recognized it- although I have lived a couple years right across this spot. (mmmhh???)

*34/365*

Valentines Day is on it’s way – I love this. On my way to work – makes me happy :-)

*35/365*

I love getting our box from the organic farm each wednsday- we also get a yummie bread and eggs in it.

*36/365*

So the washer broke on monday- and to remove it from it’s spot we had to put down our wash basin from the wall – totally stupid. I also was in a bad mood because I couldn’t wash our clothes – mmmphhhffff

*37/365*

And all was good on friday when our new washer- a real space ship…which can ..I think even cook coffee and clean the house – arrived!

*38/365*

London – on our way to our favorite beer bar and restaurant: Belgo.

*39/365*

London – Brick Lane Market – well – Jimmy Hendrix lives, and the 80’s are back too :-) It was so fun!

—-

Baby it’s cold outside!

I showed you one of the photos of the “frozen” Hamburg harbour  – and now you have to survive the rest- LOL. I was so so fascinated by all the structures, colors and the movement on the lake!

*Hamburg- Harbour*

The ice moved really fast- and that made me a bit motion sick – LOL

See my cool green scarf? I got from Liz for Christmas- I so so love it!!!

It looks so unreal!

The dock-  kind of hard to shoot against the sun.

big ship coming in.

Loved those orange touches.

That was exactly the moment then I thought my ears are going to fall off…maybe my nose too …actually me ten fingers also! LOL

so after this photo I was almost running to the Underground (that goes overground at the harbour – LOL)

Loving those pictures….especially the one of the latte *yum yum* and the snowflakes. 5 minutes is lasting longer than they do with us, because they never visit us here *sniff*
