LO: For Me *STMG 15*

There is a German Scrapping The Music Blog and this week they do have a song that I absolutely love for a long time. It is by Hildegard Knef and called “Für mich solls rote Rosen regnen” which means “For me It should rain red roses” When I was a teenager this song was a big part of my life- I used to crank it up and sing along and I still get goosebumps when I listen to it.

*For Me*

Journaling:

For me it should rain red roses
Aged 16 I used to say I want
Want to be big, want to win,
want to be happy, never lying,
Aged 16 I said in silence I want
Want everything or nothing at all.

For me it should be raining red roses.
I should meet with all of the wonders.
The world should rearrange itself
and keep its worries to itself.

And later I else said, I’d like to understand,
see a lot, get to know, maintain,
And later I else said,
I don’t want to be alone but still free.

For me it should be raining red roses.
I should meet with all of the wonders.
Luck should behave gentle,
It should reign my fate with love.

And today I say in silence, I should agree,
reduce myself, can’t agree, don’t want to reduce myself,
still want to win,
Want everything or nothing at all.

For me it should be raining red roses.
I should meet with completely new wonders.
Start up again far from the old,
Keeping most of the expected,
I want, I want!

Layout: Honesty – Dig Deep #1

Vivian Bonder inspires me constantly with her work and her new Challenge called Dig Deep comes at a time where I seek a deeper meaning in my scrapbooking pages yet again. Her first challenge is about Honesty .

*The Art of Spoken Word*

Journaling: Honesty – something I seek. It hurts but actually dishonesty hurts even more. When you hear critique behind your back or find out someone you call a friend is dishonest. Often times you are dishonest yourself – not telling you know the truth – it’s a facade – it hurts even more.

I try to be honest to my friends and they value it – most of the time- although it is hard to be honest. Sometimes I do what hurts me with others – just because I don’t know how to say it.

For me Honesty is the Art of Spoken Word. I try to get better at it.

Supplies: Jillibean Soup Spicy Pumpkin Paper, Ranger Color Wash, Camera Stencils, Ranger Inkssentials Pen, Staples and Copic Markers

DT: April ScrapTastic Kit “The Velvet Room” Part IV

What a great holiday start yesterday- wonderful weather – tempartures around 68 Fahrenheit – nice bicycle tour and first BBQ on our roof deck this year…yeahhh :) For now I leave you with my last two layouts I created with the Aril ScrapTastic Kit.

*You Got It*

Journaling: Seriously you do! You are amazing. I hope to meet you soon again. :) NYC March 2009

For this background I used the KI Butterfly Lace in the kit and used it as a mask with Spray paint. I also used Ranger Dimensional Pearls on top of the American Crafts Felt Letters.

And I played a bit with Ranger Spraypaint on top of the white Primaflowers– love the effect.

*That’s Why…*

Journaling: …eloping is not an option – because your friends make you laught and feel good on your wedding day and you will never forget those wonderful moments. July 3rd, 2004 USA

I used the Butterflies I had sprayed over before on the You Got It layout. I also used my cuttlebug Script Embossing Sheet in my BigKick (I start to get the KICK out of it- LOL)

———

That is it for now…gotta run- we have planting plans for today :)

DT: April ScrapTastic Kit “The Velvet Room” Part II

I’m still working with my kit and I really love the romantic feel of it. So here is a layout and a card I created with it…more to come :-)

*Love*

I so love this photo of my BIL and his wife at their wedding.

For the wallpaper looking background I used the Prima stamp in the kit and used it several times to form diamonds. I also used a distress inkpad over it. I cut off the paper from the Prima Flirty Paper and mounted it on foam pads to give it more dimension.

*Bunny Card*

The not so usual Easter Card- LOL. As you can see I used the heat embossed lace as a background. For the bunny tail I used Ranger Liquid Pearls.

Have a gorgeous day!
