Canvas MiniAlbums *Tattered Angels*

I want to show you two mini albums I had taught the last year and have not shown yet. They are both made with Canvas pages.

LiebeIstMinialbumTA_01

For the album I had cut out 6?x6? pieces of canvas fabric and then sprayed with different techniques with Glimmer Mist over Glimmer Screens and added our wonderful Screen Print Clear Stamps. A wonderful way to show that love is a lot of different little things in a relationship.

LiebeIstMinialbumTA

The second minialbum was created almost the same way – it is a 3×6? size.

I love how you can add lot’s of texture and techniques by adding canvas pages. One of my favorite things to play with is to see how different the Glimmer Mist settles on the non treated and treated side of  canvas fabric. As you can see in the “Liebe ist…” Album the Glimmer misted screen images are more subtile and a bit dreamy and blurry. This is because I used the gesso treated pages here. On the pages for the minialbum below I used the non-treated pages – so the Glimmer Mist could settle right in which ends in a very crisp and sharp image.

Canvas- sooo awesome- I love this surface :)

Wishing you a wonderful day/night!

Awesome Nat! I am working on a canvas album and wondered if I need to put a coat of something over the finished product? I think that it is untreated (it’s by Maya Road). Maybe I’ll review your online course for suggestions:-)

Banner *Tattered Angels and Punky Sprouts*

For my friends I created this banner using the amazing Punky Sprouts Album Sweetie Sprout as well as some yummie yummie Tattered Angels Products.

punkyTA Banner

The album has two canvas pages which I sprayed with Glimmer Mist and stamped with the Tattered Angels Architectural Trims. The acrylic pages btw were sprayed with Chalkboard Glimmer Mist and then stamped over- I so love the effect.

PunkyBanner_Nat_07
I also sprayed the Punky Sprouts Bloomers with Glimmer Mist and flicked some Glimmer Glaze over them, then rolled them to flowers. Each one I did with a different technique.

PunkyBanner_Nat_02

For the Tattered Angels Framed Fonts on the pendant I used Glimmer Glam Organic Garden to paint them. And as there is no Ü in an American Alphabet I used Glimmer Glaze and simply added to dots on the U – I think that works just fine :)

Tattered Angels: Layered Texture Stamping

There is so much you can do with the new Glimmer Glam and Glimmer Glaze- it is really fun to try it out. One of my new fun techniques I like to do is what I call “Layered Texture Stamping”. I love texture on my embellishments and layouts and the new Tattered Angels Media give you an amazing possibility to add a tactile extra oomph to your pages and projects.

For Fall Card I used the fun Halloween Hauntings Glimmer Screens and the Halloween Hunting Stamps.

I used the Haunted Tree Screen and sprayed it with three different colors of the yummie Glimmer Mist Fall Edition.

Sugar Maple, Pomegrenate and Dragonfly- ohhh yummie colors :)

Then you carefully lift the Stencil and put it upside down on a piece of paper/Cardstock

You can over the whole screen with a paper towel and roll over it so the Glimmer Mist sets into the paper. Then lift the screen.

You can see that I wasn’t really covering the whole screen- so there are some spaces that are not nicely transfered- but…with the layering we can fix this :) No need to throw this away. Use the Glimmer Glaze Color of your choice and put it with the little attached Brush right onto your Stamp. Don’t forget to clean you stamp real quick as the dried Glimmer Glaze will otherwise hurt your stamp. Then stamp on top of the misted tree.

Next I love to stamp with Versamark and emboss with clear embossing powder.

You can see the wonderful texture that is created already – the tree trunk actually has the texture of a real one

Now I put the tree stamp on again – but a bit off the already created shape and sprayed with Apple Glimmer Mist – also Fall Edition – over the crown of the tree.

I love how the Glaze and embossed areas resist the Glimmer Mist and give the tree even more dimension and depth. Next I wanted to mimic the Changing of the colors during Fall inspired by the wonderful Leaf Peaking Roadtrip I once did in New England in Fall. So I used some of the Glimmer Glam and stippled with two different colors with a fan brush into the crown.

I then also used another color of Glaze and went over some parts of the tree again. (I never know when to stop- LOL)

Then I cut the image out and mounted it on a tag for a card for someone.

I did something similiar with another card and image for Halloween- the cat – you will see the card in my design team post on the DesignTeam Blog at the end of the month :)

You can learn this and other techniques using Tattered Angels Products in on of my upcoming workshops for example

DT Work: From the Heart – ShadowBox

I told you already that my sweet and supertalented friend Vicki Chrisman had the idea for this shadow box Die Cut which was then produced by AccuCut

When I received another of this beauties in my Tattered Angels Designteambox I was really happy and here is my second Shadow Box :)

I used the Fanciful Screens over the frames and sprayed with Glimmer Mist over. I also used some Golden Glimmer Glam for a finish.

I used one of the wonderful Heidi Swapp Rockin’ Renaissance Costum Cut Outs and sprayed with Glimmer Mist and Glimmer Chalkboard. On the Nature Glimmer Chips I used some Glimmer Glam and Glimmer Mist as well. I used the stamps from the amazing Timeless Romance Stamp Set for the banner and the borders of the frame.

You see I used the heart stamp of the Timeless Romance Stampset and put one of the Copper Antique Keys on top.
