Leap Day – how fun! In German we say literally Switch Day…I like Leap Day better :)
Today I have an especially amazing day and one of the things that put a smile on my face was this post today on the Lil Sugar Blog which is a blog for Mom’s – Mommy’s Little Helper
This is a total Blast From the Past for me! This picture shows a paper bag frog which I have made in July 2006. And even funnier…my blog was only a month old…AND this was my very very first design work for my very very first Design Team. It was a German Kit Club which sadly doesn’t exist anymore. I was sooo excited back then to show my work – I feared the critic and I remember how cutting into the paper was feeling like a sacrilege because…hey….this paper was coming all the way from the States and there was only one sheet for you!
It is so much fun seing also how much my style has changed…so glad it did- LOL
When I received the sweet email from lil sugar if they could use my blog post from 2006 I was taken back in this time when I started Scrapbooking. I remember the hassle on getting products at all here in Europe and how this little community of people who at that time had heard about scrapbooking in Germany was supporting and helping each other in finding information about this “unknown” hobby. It were fun times – and it is still fun!
So much has changed over the years and so much developed, it is amazing to look back and remember. We have come a long way here in Europe and it is exciting to see this niche of Scrapbooking and Mixed Media in the art & craft industry in Europe grow.
And ….btw ….I actually really wanna do this little frog bag again – maybe a Mixed Media Paper Bag Frog, what do you think? Anyone playing along?
Happy Leap Day
“Waves, sand, fishing, ocean breeze, it’s all here in the Cocoa Daisy March Kit Pier 39. A color palette of soft aquas, greens, and corals, some die cuts and chipboard hexagons, an exclusive arrow stamp, and the texture of burlap and twine all come together to make a kit reminiscent of an afternoon on the pier.”
I sooooo can’t wait for it to arrive, so I can play with it!!!
I think I spot some new Dear Lizzy in there!
Here is a peek at the add-ons for March:
Those colors ………swoon!
Don’t miss out, sign up for the Cocoa Daisy Stamp Subscription.
Here is a little peek at the stamps that will be in March’s stamp subscription:
is the name of the February 2012 Cocoa Daisy Kit and it was fun playing with it. I do have to say that I really love working with those kits – it is so much fun how well the kits are assembled and yet there is such a versatility on what you can do with all the products, which reflects pretty well in the Design Team. This is the first month that the Design Teams are posting two times :) The National does it when the kit comes out and midmonth now we Internationals post our projects. And it is time for us now :)

It was a lot of fun at CHA and one of the funniest moments came up when Birgit, Ronda and I saw our girl …well let’s say our “Dirty Girl” doing her amazing Make’N Takes for Crafter’s Workshop. We screamed like Groupies – ahem ;)
The Journaling reads: There is not doubt about it that Birgit, Ronda and I are huge fans of Julie’s work and personality – we had to cheerlead at her awesome Make’nTakes at the Crafter’s Workshop.

I used the white Cardstock in the kit and mixed 3 different colors of Acrylic Paint together to create the background. On top I used the awesome Chevron Stamp – so awesome and of course Chevron Pattern is all over right now. I then used the Sassafras Tailored Deck numbers in the main kit and added it to create my own patterned paper.

Fun Day
As some of you read already this January my husband and I took a mini vacation before CHA and headed out to the Death Valley National Park – so so so beautiful. Breathtaking landscape. And the sand dunes- so amazing.
I used a Crafter’s Workshop Template with some Artist Spackle by Eco Green Crafts on the background. I cute out the My Minds Eye Flowers and used the Stacked Numbers Stamp to the Packaging Paper of the Sassafrass Tailored Deck numbers. Then I used an Eco Green Crafts Ink pad over it to repeat the background paper color.
Supplies: Cocoa Daisy By The Numbers February Kit and Stacked Numbers Stamp, Eco Green Crafts Artist Spackle and Exquisite and Paris Trunk Ink Pads.
*1 2 3 Relax*
The first day of our vacation in San Francisco we just did NOTHING than hanging around with friends, drinking coffee and stroll around- It was HEAVEN. We enjoyed it so much.
I used the MME Paper of the kit and cut out the Patchwork flowers in pairs of two so they could resemble a heart. I dropped some ink on the paper, let it run and added marker dots and Signo White Pen Dots to it.
Supplies: Cocoa Daisy By The Numbers February Kit, Fountain Pen Ink, Posca Marker, Signo White Pen, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L MyStik Permanent.
LOVE Card
A little cheerful Valentine’s Card. I created the heart with aluminium foil run it through a texture folder in my Die Cut Machine, Painted it with gesso and then used paint on top of it. I stamped the Birds on a Wire Stamp on the Library Card in the Kit and then cut it out in a banner like form. Love the stamp!!!

I wish you an amazing day!!!

Yesterday was my last day as a Golden Ambassador for Tattered Angels.
The past four years I had a wonderful time filling several roles for the company, sometimes at the same time with being on the Design Team, being the Design Team Coordinator, being an Educator and being a Golden Ambassador of Tattered Angels. Last year alone I taught over 50 Tattered Angels Workshops – pretty crazy number, huh? ;). With the transition of Tattered Angels to Canvas Corp. the decision was made to close the Golden Ambassador Programme. Although this is a sad moment as a wonderful time ends, it also makes me happy as I know it frees me for the awesome things that are coming up in my creative life…it is all good and I’m giddy at the same time because I know this is going to be a rockin’ year :)
I will still work with Tattered Angels products and I will continue teaching the already scheduled workshops for the next months, so don’t you worry – we will mist away :)
I would love to show you my favorite work that I have done for Tattered Angels the last 4 years as a way to say good bye and close this capital for now
And this is only a SMALL fraction of my projects – but I think those are my faves of all of them in all the years. Looking at those projects puts a smile on my face because I had a great time while creating them- and that is what it is about for me: the creating process and the memories that go along with it and the photos I use. Nobody can take that away from me :)
Thank you Wendy and Tattered Angels for your trust in my work all those years and giving me the chance to work with you. You have been the reason for where I stand and who I am right now as me regarding my professional life. It has been a fun ride. I have learned a huge amount of things from being on the teams whether it about how I love to create, teaching or about the industry itself. Thanks for letting me be myself in my art projects.
I hope you enjoyed my little TA-Gallery post :)
Have a wonderful day

I am longing for the days where you can sit outside and have a coffee at one of our many street cafes here. The funny thing is that our weather is so bad in Hamburg- lot’s of rain, that we actually go out A LOT . So you see bars and cafe’s right now that have a box with nice woolen blankets outside as soon as one little sunray is visible. I just love the vibe and feel when the life of a city takes place on the street.
Are you longing for some sun too?
Have a great and….sunny day ;)

this is definelty a week where things are not going the way they should ….LOL. But do you know this punchy mood when something goes wrong and you just laugh…like a Kookaburra….(listen ;) )
[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fc_-icFHwQo]
These birds woke me up one morning last year in Australia when I was on my workshop tour in NSW. I opened one eye because I heard this noise and because Sherry had told me about those birds, I knew it was them . I started laughing in bed, it was soo funny.
So ….this week- I’m just gonna laugh it off like a Kookaburra – so there printer, so there lost CHA package, so there accidents…..
Have a day filled with laughter :)
