DT Work: Bye Bye Rose Moka

So sad- Rose Moka decided to close their Designteam. I really loved working with their products and with the company- those papers where so beautiful and of gorgeous quality. But ….they are still around…meaning…one can still play with them ;) Here are my favorite layouts I did for them:

Thank you Dominique and Melanie – it was a wonderful time !

DT Work: Welcome to the Neighborhood *InfoCrea*

When I first saw the Maison de fees papers I knew what I would like to do with them. A wallhanging. For the base I used the corrugated cardstock from the Couleur de Artiste Collection- man that quality is serously the bomb! NO kidding!

Echt!

Videos: g.c.d Chip Art Tools by Melody Ross

I guess I told you several times already that I’m in Love with the g.c.d Chip Art Tools by Melody Ross. So I got a couple questions what they are, how to use them etc. and I thought I should share. I made a video in English and German – both are Voice Over Videos- so sometimes I’m a bit confused- LOL – but you will get the picture ;)

Details of my layout “I Love You“:

This is the letter I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and a white pen – here Ranger Inkssentials with it.

The heart was painted with Acrylic paints and then treated with a glaze medium – brown acrylic paint mixture. Later I brushed some Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam over the edges of the heart.

These letters were sprayed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Chalkboard, then I painted the punched areas with white acrylic paint. For the finish I used Tatered Angels Glimmer Glaze.

Supplies:  Cardboard, Acrylic Paints, Foam Stamps, Tim Holtz Music Sheet Stamp, Vintage Music Paper, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Glimmer Chalkboard, Glimmer Glaze and Glimmer Glam, g.c.d Chip Art Tools and Chipboards, Studio2Mer, Posca Markers, Ranger Inkssentials Pen, SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES by 3L™ Crafty Power Tape and E-Z Runner®

Here is the foil again – Streuter Foil

The same technique as with chipboard- no misting of course- and then brushed some acrylic paint over and wiped it off after half a minute.

I hope you had fun – have an awesome day!

Layouts with eMOTions by Vicki Chrisman

When Vicki send me the following layout with my papers I almost cried…yep- LOL. You know that Vicki is one of my super heroes – she is the one that got me – together with Cat – into all the techniques when I started scrapbooking. Love her- her work is outstanding!!!!

*Taylor and Lena by Vicki Chrisman*

Here is what she said: “I just have to tell you.. thankyou so much …for reminding me to step out of my box from time to time. lol  I love so many different styles and forms of art..but feel like I have settled with my comfort zone alot lately. Well tonight I just played.. and enjoyed and got messy… ( AND DIDNT EVEN USE PINK) lol

Here are some details on how she used the papers and overlays – and I so adore the butterfly-stamping-layering!

Thank you so much Vicki for sharing!

If you want more information about my eMOTions Collection – you can go here – where to buy, how they look  etc.

DT Work: Tattered Angels and Prima Marketing

This month the national DTs of Prima and Tattered Angels teamed up and I decided to join since I love Prima and also teach a lot connecting both manufacturers.

I showed you this Apron already *Make Art*

Diese Schürze habe ich Euch schon gezeigt *Make Art*

Apron_25

If you want to know how I created this apron hop on over here.

And then some layouts./ und ein paar Layouts

*Yes Dude*

YesDude

Using the Exclusively Heidi Screen and Glimmer Mist.

Journaling: Yes Dude, you really asked me a couple hours ago if I would marry you :) Scared now? It was an amazing day in Paris

*Life Hearts You*

LifeHeartsYou_TA

Journaling: Some days it is hard to believe – some days are just hard – some days never go by – but…true is always: Life Hearts You

I love the new Goldfoil Tags- it is so fun to use Glimmer Mist, Chalkboard and Glimmer Glam over it.

LifeHeartsYou_TA_02

I used a brush and dipped it into Glimmer Mist to add little drops to the Flower Stamp from the Exclusivley Heidi Clear Stamp Set as berries.

LifeHeartsYou_TA_03

I also used two different Glimmer Mist Colors and a brush to paint in “Life” on the Bingo Board.

LifeHeartsYou_TA_04

*Who are You?*

WhoAreYou

This layout is about my aunt Waltraud who always stood in the shadow of my very lifely grand uncle Walter and his sister my aunt Margot. Just the last years I learn what an amazing woman she is  – funny and lively! Love her!

Here I painted over a piece of corrugated cardboard with acrylic paints and sprayed them with Glimmer Mist and then ripped some of the layer off again to reveal the texture and kraft color. I used the Butterflies from the Framed Font Set and colored them with Glimmer Mist and Chalkboard – then rubbed them in Ink to reveal the embossed areas even more. I used some of the new wonderful Goldfoil Tag which I had treated also with Glimmer MIst and Glimmer Chalkboard behind the Butterflies.

WhoAreYouDet

And for next month we have some real fun stuff coming up!

Wishing you a gorgeous day!

Nat

The Color Room – Palette #3

So in Love with the new challenge blog “The Color Room” – I tried to play along earlier but couldn’t make it- but this time I’m in. I love colors- as you know- those pastells were a bit challenging – LOL – but I love it.

First I picked my acrylic paints- here my new LOVE – Eco Green Crafts Acrylic Paints!

Zunächst habe ich erstmal meine Acrylfarben rausgesucht- hier meine neue große Liebe – Eco Green Crafts Acrylic Paints!

Here is my layout – und hier ist mein Layout

*Imagine*

Journaling: Imagine there was no war. Imagine what a wonderful world. – Warsaw, Poland.

I took this photo in Warsaw last week and while walking through this city which was destroyed by Germany to 90% in WWII, I was really touched and it made me think a lot. So many people, so terrible. This is a really simple reflection of my thoughts.

So viele Menschen, so furchtbar.

Layout: Do it, Do Art

I did this the March Guest Designer for Kits des Somni- gorgeous spanish kit club!!!

Do it , do Art

This layout is kind of like an art journal page- it reflects some of
my thoughts and self doubts about my art. I chose a poem by Charles
Bukowski to keep me going :)

if you’re going to try, go all the way. there is no other feeling
like that. you will be alone with the gods and the nights will flame
with fire. do it, do it, do it. do it. all the way all the way. you
will ride life straight to perfect laughter, its the only good fight
there is. “charles Bukowski”

Tattered Angels’ Glimmer of Hope

April is Autism Awareness month. I’m so proud to design for a company that gets involved in causes like this and others.
Tattered Angels is introducing a new campaign called Glimmer of Hope. Periodically through the year they will be creating very limited new colors in honor of various illnesses/conditions, and a portion of the proceeds will be awarded to research organizations.

In honor of Autism Awareness, Liz and Patti from Tattered Angels have created a custom color called “Piece of Heart” representing the “puzzle pieces” that Autism Awareness is known for as well as for the beautiful of art/heart that each child represents. This color is a beautiful medium turquoise blue with a vivid golden glimmer. This limited edition color will sell exclusively on the Tattered Angels site for $5 and part of the proceeds for the sales will go towards Autism Speaks .
