Elephant Parade – NEW STENCIL

ElephantParade

By now I guess it is not a secret anymore that I have a slight elephant obsession and since so many asked for a smaller elephant stencil-there you go :) Elephant Parade is here

L321-3

The Stencil has 3 parts – An Elephant silhouette, Patterned Elephant Stencil and an Elephant Mask. This gives you loads of possibilities!

I sprayed the background of the art journal page with some Liquitex Spray Paints. Then I layered the ornamental elephant onto the left and sprayed with two different colors over the pattern. I cleaned off the stencil onto a different art journal page as to not waste paint and then flipped it over and repeated on the right side to get the elephant facing to the left. I used the elephant mask then over the elephants to mask off the images and sprayed over the background to change the background up.

Here is a different Elephant version for you:

Here I created a background with Liquitex Acylic Paints, then layered the elephant mask over an area and used Liquitex Spray paint and sprayed over the elephant mask. I repeated that several times carefully avoiding spraying into the newly created elephants. I used the Elephant stencil to trace with a journaling pen to give a bit more definition.

Elephants…just make me happy :) Hope they do the same to you too ;)

Here are the supplies I used for the pages:

Not My Circus, Not My Monkeys – Canvas

is a saying that I really love..it is basically saying “not my problem” and often times the monkeys definitely are not mine ;) As you can see I used my Elephant Stencil for Stencil Girl Products – which just makes me happy. Also lots of spraying and layering on the background

with a finish of Liquitex Pouring Medium which gives it a nice glass like finish. Love the stuff.

have a gorgeous day without any monkey business ;)

Looooooooooove it :-) This is my current quote of the week (every week actually) and I used it in my journal a while ago. Yours is so much nicer though…although the elephant might even cause more havoc than monkeys.

I see many signs that say “don’t make me get the flying monkeys” (in reference to the Wizard of Oz)…I haven’t heard this quote that you used but I like it. How did you get the idea to make an elephant stencil?

I looooooooove your background! The colours and the depth in it. I have had Pouring Medium in my stuff for several months now but I still haven’t tried it. I must absolutely do it now.

Elephant March or…New Stencil with StencilGirl Products

NathalieKalbach_ElephantWaltz01

So excited about my new 9×121 inch stencil called Elephant March that I designed for StencilGirl Products (and yes- the art journal page is called elephant waltz ;) )

NathalieKalbach_Elephant

I do love elephants and I had such a blast creating this stencil. I also wanted the pattern of the elephant blanket to be possibly used just as is – so it is like a two in one stencil.

You can also get a peak at another stencil I just released in the background ;) but more about it later.
