1,2,3 Easy Peasy Quick Holiday Cards

I love handmade holiday cards but let’s face it – it is tough at this time of the year to spend a ton of time to make them.

So, when I designed the Circle Jumble Rubber Stamps I wanted to make sure they are versatile and can be used all year long but added a little topper for the circles that can either be used on it’s own or for exactly what I did here. Create little holiday ornaments :)

I love how the tiny ones with the Small Circle Jumble Set turned out  in black and white

But I am also in love with the Large Circle Jumble Cards

Look I sneaked a little colorful one in here :)

Here are the supplies I used for these cards:

Inspiration from Around the Globe – November 2018

Ready for some inspiration? Today we have some projects from around the globe. It’s always fun to see how you’re using my stamps and stencils and I am so happy to share some examples today. So let me know if you’re doing something cool with my products, tag me on social media, and you might see yours on the next Inspiration from Around the Globe!

First we have Addi Mahajan from India using my Versailles stencil as a background in her vibrant art journal page.

Linda Edkins Wyatt from the US is using my Broadway foam stamp on this index card composition for a bold focal point.

And here is Karen D’Angelo from the US using my Amsterdam stencil for some unifying all-over pattern.

And Marsha Valk, a Creative Squad alumni from the Netherlands, and a funky blue bangle bracelet she decorated using my Batik stencil.

And finally, my friend Liz from Germany who made a card with my Lady Liberty stamp. Love it!

If you’re working on something fun with my stamps or stencils, be sure to tag me and share! I’d love to see! You can find all my stencils, rubber stamps, and foam stamps in my Online Shop. Here are some of the supplies used in this post:

Warm Wishes – Tania Ahmed

Hello my friends! Welcome to December and a new post from my Creative Squad. Today we have another fab video to share with you from Tania Ahmed. She is again rocking the patterns with my Circle Drive and Clam Hex foam stamps. This month’s theme is: Warm Wishes – For many cultures around the world, December is a holiday season filled with celebrations and good cheer. The Creative Squad is taking this month to send Warm Wishes to all our readers!

When I chose my ArtFoamies, I like to think about how I can make two seemingly different patterns work together. It’s like a puzzle and my weird brain likes finding solutions and harmony in a seemingly chaotic pattern. I wasn’t sure when I first started stamping if the pattern would work but I was delighted to see that it resulted in an abstract flower like shape. I find repetitive stamping, creating patterns and doodling relaxing so I was smiling while I put this quick and easy layout together. I hope you try this with your stash of ArtFoamies, I adore my collection!

Step 1- Choose your ArtFoamies. This is the most difficult step!

Step 2- Apply Distress Oxide to Circle Drive ArtFoamie and stamp onto textured cardstock. I love the chalky finish of the Distress Oxides, and the ArtFoamies make it so easy to get an even impression.

Step 3- Use the star in the centre of Circle Drive to align and stamp with the Clam Hex ArtFoamie. This will create an almost abstract cherry blossom flower shape.

Step 4- Add lines and words with an ultra fine black Sharpie marker.

Thank you Tania – we just love learning new ways to combine stamp patterns! You can find all my Foam Stamps in my Online Shop. Here are some of the other supplies that Tania used:

Feel inspired? Working on something yourself that you’d like to share?  I love to see how you interpret our monthly themes. Email me how you used my stencils and stamps with the theme and email me an image – I would love to share your projects in my next  “n*Spiration From Around the Globe“.

Star Struck Holiday Card Tutorial

I love the new Star Struck Stencil and I knew I wanted to use just part of the stencil for some holiday cards.

I created a border around the area I wanted to use with artist tape. You can leave the tape on and just do several cards or projects until you are done.

using heavy body acrylic paint and a cosmetic sponge I stippled on the paint through the stencil. I used heavy body paint here because I love how the cosmetic sponge creates a little bit of a textured effect in the heavy body paint.

Lift off the stencil and let dry.

I added some lines and the holiday greetings with ArtGraf Blocks.

And done – easy peasy :)

Here are the supplies I used:

I love the art you chose to illustrate the Dale Chihuly quote. The scribbly-ness of it makes me very happy.

Somewhat related: A few years ago, I had the thrill of seeing Dale Chihuly’s Fern Green Tower at the Corning Glass Museum in Corning, NY. It was magical!
